When choosing a place for lunch I chose the Caribbean Pool Bar based on the description in the magazine in the hotel. Much to my disappointment this is NOT what I was looking for. There’s nothing caribbean about this place. Soft rock is playing and the ambiance is NOT caribbean. My drink is good and the cheesesteak is alright. Guess next time I’ll just go back to the actual CARIBBEAN for what I’m looking for.

Really cool location! Great concept, but the service was absolutely horrific. Our bartender came right up to us to take our drink order, and then never came back after that. So, we decided to get dinner elsewhere.

The food is nothing special, but it’s not really intended to be. Burgers. Fried foods. The cheesesteak wrap was actually way too greasy, but, again, you don’t come here for outstanding food. The 5 stars is for the ambiance, decent service, and reasonably priced drinks which, believe me, is a luxury in the least common denominator, bland middle-America hellhole that is Ocean City. Very comfortable chairs. Free live music(rock covers — because the world apparently cannot go 6 minutes without hearing Jealous Again and Comfortably Numb), and an open patio that makes it easy to enjoy a sunny day.

I really liked this place! The drinks were great and so was the live reggae band that was playing the night we went. The food wasn’t that good but I didn’t really expect too much with on that end because it was more of a bar than a restaurant. I think we ordered a burger and a chicken sandwich-they were kind of blah. We actually stumbed across this place when we were about to take an Über to Seacrets. We decided we were too tried to really party it up and we heard the music so we walked upstairs to check it out. They also have a pool and a hot tub you can use if you’re a customer, which we will keep in mind for next time(too bad we didn’t have our bathing suits on!). The drinks are where it’s at here… just watch out because I think the bartenders tend to overserve some customers here. There was a drunk guy dancing around our table the entire time we were there-we mostly laughed at him but I kind of wished they would have cut him off.

Amazing drinks, live band, pool, hot tubs. & generously priced food. Perfect for a date, time with the children and you can hang out at the bar

Likes: — Live band everyday — Fully outside restaurant with patio covering — MASSIVEPOOL on the rooftop open to everyone — Tons of space for people to enjoy themselves here — My cheesesteak sandwich I ordered was good — Drink menu is OMG delish… I am talking to you Pina Colada — Merely steps from the beach Dislikes: — Sandwiches are pretty much the only thing on the menu with the exception of a couple of salads. I would like to see more(seafood) entrée options applicable to the name of the restaurant. — Service was spotty. She was nice, but for a party of 6, we should have saw you more than for one refill of drinks and food delivery.

Came here the weekend of the airshow, and upon arriving, the man checking ID’s told us that we «…can’t get drinks at the bar unless we planned on getting food.»(which we intended on for lunch, anyway) since we weren’t «…guests of the hotel». Our waitress took our order and was very nice, but a little forgetful. She brought us our drinks, and we waited about 35−40mins for our food(which isn’t a large selection of food… just bar food). We asked for more drinks, and she told us our«…food will be out soon». 5 mins later she came back over to our table and asked us «. did you guys order food?»(which we did, about an hour ago at this point). When we finally got our food, and it was… well, I could have went without it if they had forgotten it. Drinks were on point though! They had live music, but the band that was playing while we were there was kinda cheesy, but it was still fun, and we had a good view of the airshow.

highly recommend this place. they have 2 live bands every day. 12 to 4 and 6 to 10. i rexommend the poolside food and drink service, if you were looking to lay out by the pool all day… also, really tasty bar food!!! simple menu but everything is always really tasty. recommend getting the onion rings as a side instead of potato chips.(their super big and greasy.). be patient with the cocktail waitresses… they have walk up bar service stations… all of the cocktail waitresses are 18 to 21. hot waitresses in bikinis, busting ass, to serve you, tip them well and have lots of fun !!! good vibes from all the staff…(((((its a bar where you can bring the kids)))))) their entertained by the pool and the 19 year old macaw, dakota. it’s a huge pool and there’s perfect amounts of shade and sun… i personally work here and have for 3 years… i’d be happy to help any one with any questions about ocean city. make the most out of your vacation and come find me, ask for kirra!!!

I’ve been going to ocmd every year now for a while and stop a couple times each visit. I absolutely love the way they make some of their drinks and haven’t found another place that makes the sex on the beach drink as good as Sean from the Caribbean pool bar. Would definitely recommend and will stop back each trip.

The rooms are terrible: dirty and the smallest I’ve ever seen. When you sit down on the toilet, your knees ACTUALLYTOUCH the tub. The worst part of this place, is the bar at the pool! Whoever is the manager of this bar should probably be fired. Firstly, there are not enough waitresses. Secondly, they haven’t divvied up the tables appropriately. My family and I weren’t staying at the hotel this visit, because of what I said before about the rooms, but went to the bar for lunch. Boy was it a mistake! The waitress was lucky our family didn’t walk out without paying the tab. Why you ask? Don’t worry, I’ll tell you. The only table big enough in the shade was over in a corner. While sitting there, we had to ask TWICE for someone to send our waitress over to take our order. We would have otherwise left if we weren’t so hungry already. Turns out, our waitress was also serving half of the pool as well — which was COMPLETELY on the OTHER side of the bar area, where she spent most of her time. Whoever designated waitress areas needs to re-designate them. However I have a suspicion none of this area is designated at all, and that it’s free-for-all. My father had to go up to the bar twice during our time here to order an alcoholic drink. Which the bartender ignored him several times. She gave the gentleman next to him his beverage, made eye contact with my father, turned around, walked to the other side of the bar, and served another person.(Note to the 20-something year old female bartenders: Serve the older, adult people at the bar because they tip better than the«hot frat guys types»). When the waitress finally did show up to our table, we ordered our entire meal at once because we knew we would hardly ever see her. Which we were correct about. She hardly ever checked on us, because she hardly had any time to while serving HALFOFTHEENTIREPOOL with drink orders. The food was mediocre. Decent finger food while visiting the beach, and served our purpose. However, we had to go to the bar to get tartar sauce and extra ranch dressing because like I said, we hardly saw our waitress while she served the 40 people at the pool. By the end of the meal, when the waitress finally came back to clear our plates, my bf ordered a refill and a piña colada(which she forgot about the piña colada, and we had to cancel), and gave the whole table refills for things we didn’t want(both of my parents only wanted to drink one cup of iced tea because of the caffeine content), and then took an extremely long time to bring us the check. In fact, my father told the rest of us to leave and go back to the beach because we were missing a beautiful day waiting for this waitress to bring us our check. 10min after we left him, he left to use the bathroom. They are LUCKY he returned to a flustered waitress and didn’t just leave to join us on the beach again. Terrible service. Absolutely terrible. Dear Manager, You need 2 – 3 waitresses serving the pool ONLY. 3−4+ waitresses to serve the tables at the bar ONLY. AND you need to divvy up who serves which tables. I’ve never worked in the service industry, and even I know you can’t have a waitress serving opposite sides of a bar.

I go to Ocean City MD every year on vacation. I’m at this pool bar on 2nd street at least 2 – 3 times during my annual vacation. Read below why its so great! Atmosphere & Entertainment: So relaxing and chillin’ out, they usually have a live band playing reggae music or Jimmy Buffet on the pool deck. The pool itself is huge, and open to all patrons, even if you aren’t a tenant staying at the Plim Plaza. There’s plenty of lounge chairs around the pool, and tons of seating around the pool deck near the stage to listen to music while you eat & drink. Even the wrap-around bar is so big that you can always find a seat at the bar. Staff: Everyone is so friendly! The cooks and bartenders rock. The waitresses are so good looking they even have their photo on a huge postcard/calendar style photo around the bar. Food: Some menu items are much better than others, my favorite being the chicken cheesesteak. Don’t get the wrap, its really small. The tuna is OK too. Don’t expect an amazing meal here, but its good enough to wash the booze down! Drinks: An entire Caribbean menu full of specialty drinks. Try several! They are sweet and refreshing. Beers are really cheap here too! Side note: They have a talking parrot on the pool deck, which is cute when you get to see the staff take him out of the cage. However, he can get quite annoying when he won’t stop yelling!

This place was a great place to chill out in the afternoon before dinner for a few drinks! The day we went it was pouring rain, and stayed by the bar the whole time. There were awnings which kept us dry. The beers on tap were cheap($ 2.50!) and the mixed drinks were really yummy! If it weren’t raining we’d have definitely gone in the pool! There’s a really nice large pool there with tons of chaise lounges all over. The food looked good, but we didn’t eat there. If I lived in the area, I’d definitely go back!
