Came to blue fish while on vacation and I wish this was closer to where I live. Everything at this place was delicious. We had egg rolls, fried rice, sweet and sour chicken and general tsos and everything was amazing. We also had shrimp tempura sushi and it was very good as well. Highly recommend this place and will come again.

This place is a gem! My husband and another couple looked the restaurant up on Unilocal and saw all the great reviews and decided to try it out. We are from the DC area and frequent many Sushi spots so we are a little bit on the Sushi snob side. I must say the restaurant is awesome and the Sashimi and rolls are super fresh and clean! The Chicago Bull roll is to die for. Shout out to our waiter Alec who was very patient and entertaining!

This place was so good on our last trip t OC that we had to go back to try more of what they have to offer. This time around my daughter wanted lomein with shrimp(no veggies, she’s not into onions and things) and the waiter totally understood. My husband and I ordered the eel roll(all him), the M-16 roll(shared) and my new favorite Hawaiian roll(all mine). Our waiter quickly brought out a big plate of shrimp lomein for our daughter and she was thrilled, he even helped her out with the chopsticks and added the beginner chopstick helper. She ate so much off her plate that I was kinda shocked, she’s 4 and this was a big plate lol. Soon after he brought out our sushi and it looked just as good as it tasted ! I want to go back one more time before vacation is over, I’m craving their coconut anything right now(chicken, shrimp and Hawaiian roll), it is so good !

Blue Fish does what it does very well. It is an above average experience at the beach. The pricing reminds you that you’re on vacation. The service is spotty at times though not from lack of effort. The décor is great considering its previous life as a fast food establishment(with drive through). The food is the star — as it should be. Start with the Dinosaur Egg. Dining with someone? Order 2. Or more. The fish is fresh and the Chinese dishes are clean and tasty. When the check comes — remember where you are.

Great service and super fresh sushi. We ordered quite a few things. The red dragon was my favorite, but the sashimi was very fresh. We also had the Chicago roll with seared steak is a great try for those non sushi eaters. We will try to make it back before we end our vacation.

Came here four years and alas it was just as good. I had the mega lobster roll. I often don’t like fried seafood but the light done tempura lobster was perfect. y son had the orange chicken and nearly ate all of then tool leftovers back to the condo and ate his leftovers and he’s always a pain about his leftovers. My daughter ate every bit of the rolls she ordered. Oh and the hot green tea was excellent. It wasn’t just weak tea bag kind. The miso soup was very good and was only 2 Next time I am in town I will be back We all left full and had leftovers and it was $ 30 less than the all you can eat seafood buffets for a family of four. So you get top quality AND it’s cheaper than all you eat

Blue Fish is a comfortable place with nice staff. Neither the food or ambience is particularly amazing, but both are acceptable. My one criticism is that they try to cover too many Asian cuisines — Japanese, Chinese & Thai, but just don’t seem to get the Thai right. Treat this like an American Chinese restaurant and you’ll be satisfied, but venture into the Thai dishes and you may be disappointed.

Good, tasty sushi. Fast and courteous service. The best feature: no long waiting line on a Saturday night during peak season. You can’t beat that!

Went there while I was on vacation with my family and we had a great eclectic meal… miso soup, three types of sushi, Mongolian Beef, General Tso’s chicken, lo mein and fried rice. Some people might say that you shouldn’t have«Chinese» food in a Japanese restaurant, but Blue Fish is able to do a great job in preparing the various cuisines all under the same elegant roof. The chefs are able to make authentic Japanese, Thai and Chinese dishes and that means you won’t have to go to three different restaurants on vacation! Give it a shot and I don’t think you will be disappointed!

After a bad experience at another OC sushi spot, we were very pleasantly surprised by Blue Fish. Our server was friendly and accommodating, and our meal was great. The kids shared their usual Asian fare of miso soup, edamame, and shrimp shumai — and everything was good, but there were no standouts there. Our sushi, however, and the special tuna dumplings, were terrific. We had the Maryland roll — a nice twist of local flavor, the Hawaiian roll, and the Tuna Madness roll — our favorite. Skip the salad — the ginger dressing is over sweet and the greens are bland.

Well what a fantastic dining experience that almost happened. My husband and I call Blue Fish at 8:15pm to make a reservation for 2. The hostess informed me that they do not take reservations but there were PLENTY of tables available. Yessss! — we thought. So we told them we would be there in 10 minutes. We arrived at 8:20pm(5 minutes later) and were informed by the same hostess that there were no available seats and the wait was about 20 minutes. Apparently all of ocean city arrived within those five minutes of us driving. We probably would’ve made it in four minutes had they lit the exterior sign. The sign was dark and barely legible. Upon entering the restaurant I was nearly knocked down by the smell of raw fish. Very disheartening. Between the nearly noxious smell and the standoff personalities of the hostesses we decided it would be best if we left and made OC Wasabi our next destination. Good thing too, because that blew Blue Fish out of the water!!!

Blue Fish is definitely a great sushi option in OCMD. ASK about their specials. They are not listed anywhere but the servers are ready to tell you about them. They definitely are the best things the place has to offer. For my meal I had the edamame to start. Nicely steamed with sea salt. FOr my entrée I shared the chicken with broccoli, Maryland roll and Double delight roll. All three were on point but the Maryland roll is what really made this place stand out. They found a way to get the flavor of their city into a sushi roll and that honestly made me smile. Service was great. Cool girl who knows here sushi and clearly cares about her customers and the restaurant she works in. very reasonable prices.

Well, one of the only great eats hee in OC, very surprising find. But come before 9:30 pm everything here shuts down early when it comes to restaurants with no bar.

We ordered a Kani salad, tuna dumplings, mt Fuji roll and a spicy tuna roll. All were so great! The mt Fuji roll was so amazing. I can’t wait to come back to order it again! I feel like this is the best sushi place in OCMD, and I’m a picky sushi eater!

First time dining here and it was AMAZING! We will definitely be returning. Service was prompt and very friendly. I highly recommend the Blue Fish mojito! Yummy! I’m a huge sushi fan and it was absolutely delicious! We had the Philadelphia roll which had smoked salmon, you could really taste the smoke flavor. We also had B-52 roll and the Tuna Madness roll which I both highly recommend! The prices weren’t too bad, what I would expect for the caliber of food and location. Try it out… You will not be disappointed!

Honestly, I’m not a big seafood fan(more of a meathead LOL) but after eating a fair amount of average buffet BBQ meat the night before I wanted to try some seafood. Plus being in a coastal vacation area, I’d hope and expect the seafood would be very fresh. There are sooo many seafood restaurants in Ocean City but not many Asian themed ones. Blue Fish looked to be the best one based on all the reviews I found. For the appetizer I ordered the pepper crusted Ahi Tuna with yuzu dipping sauce and it was excellent. The tuna was super fresh with an awesome smokey pepper crust and the yuzu gave an added sweeter element to the dish to contrast the smokey pepper… good start! The entrees I ordered were the General Tso’s Twin Delight and the Thai Curry Chicken. –For those not well versed in Chinese food, General Tso is a sweet & spicy syrupy coating added to a battered fried protein, which 99% of the time is chicken and a staple dish of most local take-out Chinese places. It’s not a traditional Chinese cooking style but one which was probably developed for Western palettes. The Twin Delight takes the General Tso style and applies it to scallops and peeled shrimp and it worked! Both the scallops and shrimp survived the batter and frying process to remain moist and fresh tasting with no hint of being overcooked. The General Tso’s sweet coating was quite a departure from what you usually get as it was lighter(maybe they used less corn starch to thicken it) and had a nice honey taste. It could use a little added notch on the Scoville scale as I felt it needed a little more heat. –The Thai Curry Chicken was equally tasty with a nice light curry, a hint of coconut milk, moist chicken, and plenty of fresh vegetables. I’ve been reducing my consumption of white rice for several years but the Curry sauce was so tasty poured over the rice that I finished the entire bowl. Again I thought the Curry could have used an extra kick in spice, but I do have a pretty high tolerance for hot & spicy foods, and most restaurants tend to err on the side of caution and tame down the heat. For a nice change of place from the Ocean City buffets try this place out!
