I love a good stationery shop — most especially in this computer age in which we live. There is nothing like receiving, or writing, a thank you on a beautiful card. It is NOT a lost art! Hawthorne House is an exquisite shop where I get Christmas & holiday cards each year, and also very special sheets of wrapping paper and ribbon. There are lovely gift items that can be monogrammed… perhaps a pewter porringer as a baby gift, or a silver feeding spoon. HH is a delightful store with knowledgeable and accommodating staff. I highly recommend it.

Outstanding, professional and a pleasure to do business with. We are so happy we found this place for our wedding invitations! Diane is phenomenal and very knowledgeable(all though all staff was very pleasant every time we visited). Their selection is outstanding and such high quality. Diane took the time work with us, show us all of our options and help us tweak our order to fit our budget. I would recommend Hawthorne House to anyone.

I went to Hawthorne House to order invitations for my wedding last year. Everyone there was SO friendly and helpful. We were able to create beautiful and unique invites without spending a crazy amount of money. Highly, highly recommended!

Such a cute place! I love it! They let you browse around without hovering. I was able to discuss things in there with my husband without someone jumping into the discussion(that happens a lot in independent shops), but if you have a question they’re very knowledgable and willing to discuss things with you and help you make decisions. The prices are decent for things I was able to compare to other places(crane & co products). They also do printing for invitations and stationary, and provided me with a catalogue to order stationary from that is very reasonably priced. Love it there!

This place is what I call«Paper Heaven.» I love that it’s a local business, not a chain. I really love that they know who you are when you walk in again. Their service is impeccable. Diane, the owner, took as much time as needed to help me develop my wedding invitations. It came out to be a 3 tired invite without the second envelope. It looked so expensive and exquisite, like nothing I’ve ever seen before. It looked and felt like it was letter-pressed but it wasn’t! Diane helped me keep it below $ 700 for about 150 invites. She and her staff were also very prompt with the proofs of our invitations and programs. Definitely, check them out. I’m somewhat biased because my lovely invitation is hanging on their«wall of fame» in their invitation room. It’s the chocolate brown and gold one, wrapped in vellum, and tied with a satin chocolate brown ribbon. I love this place… If I could, I would volunteer to work there.
