Excellent! Good cheese, beer and whisky. Staff very nice and a nice relaxed atmosphere. Place can fill up fast though as it is small. Their«Corn Dog» is excellent… it is a Kobe beef hot dog served in a pretzel roll it ha nice slaw. I had mine with a side of greens(salad) and I will be ordering it again. Plan on going back more… I like the location in Old Town Occoquan and will enjoy the outside setting they do have. Beer changes weekly… wonder what it is this week!

This is a cute wine bar in old town Occoquan. We didn’t eat here but stopped in for a couple drinks while walking around one weekend. We noticed it was bustling inside and had a little shop for purchasing wine. Service was a little spotty, they seemed understaffed or undertrained; we couldn’t get a hold of our waiter for awhile. They have a variety of beers, however, I was looking for a hefeweizen and the lone one they had they were out of. I settled on a Petite Verdot flight they were featuring, which was not too bad; one of them was a pretty terrible CVS wine. But I do like that they have a little tasting room and feature different wine flights every week. Not a bad option for a glass of wine in this part of town.

Location in historic downtown Occoquan is awesome — especially with the holiday decorations this time of year. Underwhelmed by the ambiance inside. Inside was very humid and steamy, and it gets LOUD. There’s nothing to muffle the noise and tables are pretty close together, We had the happy hour red wine from Portugal and it was very delightful for a $ 6 glass of wine. The flatbread left us flat. It was uncut and we found it impossible to cut even with the knife provided, so it was messy and not quite the experience we had hoped. We’ve been here a few times, the waitress service is so-so.

I want to love this place so badly but I can’t. They have good wine and beer selection. Price a tad too high but still nice. Food was good but not great. Waitstaffs not knowledge. I was there on last Sunday evening with friend and we weren’t moved by the service.

As residents of Occoquan, we thoroughly enjoy stops at the Bottle Stop. Friendly and knowledgeable staff, great ambiance, nice selections of wine, beer, spirits, and light eats. Another great perk is that the outside tables are pet friendly(similar to what you’d find in Old Town and Shirlington) and makes for a nice community and unique atmosphere. Would definitely recommend stopping by if you’re in town…

Another wonderful gem in occoquan. Great ambiance inside and lovely outside seating as well. My friend and I noshed on the smörgåsbord-board and drank some wine. Each item was delicious. We also ordered one of the pizzas and weren’t too impressed with it unfortunately but everything else about our experience was top notch. Will definitely be going back.

The specials are very nice and offer a variety for newcomers. I liked the different wines that I tasted and the food was pretty delicious. I’ll definitely be back there again.

We had lunch at the Bottle Stop today and it was delicious !!! Our server was Barbara — she told us all about the restaurant, the town of Occaquan and its history! What a great ambassador! The ambiance was beautiful — the wine and whiskey flight soothing — and the food(Greek sliders and Meathead pizza) delicious! We will definitely be back!

Food is still on point but I keep running into either them being short staffed or too busy(which is a good thing) and the service not being amazing. So I’ve cut back going, I was a waitress forever so it just annoys me. Still deserves 4 stars though, and maybe I’m just being picky

Last night was my first experience here. The food, ambiance and service were all exceptional. They had a nice beer and wine selection. The owner personally brought some of our food. As a customer, that always makes me feel appreciated! Overall… Great experience. I can’t wait to go back!

We had originally planned to go elsewhere. However wandering about Occoquan, this little spot caught our eye. It’s hard for me to resist at least peeking in a wine store so we did just that. This is a small spot, but they have a nice selection of wines that were new to me. As we walked in we couldn’t help but notice the tables and bar to the left. We decided to stop and enjoy a glass of wine while waiting for our table at the spot we originally picked for lunch. We took a quick look at the menu and the offerings were interesting — as someone else commented a nice selection of small plates. Our promised call for the outdoor table we were waiting on was quite late so we decided to stay here and share the Charcuterie. We ordered the duck salame, serrano ham, a spicy salame, cheddar, a nutty cheese similar to a gouda and another hard cheese which reminded me of an asiago. The plate had a sample of each item and was just the right size for the two of us to share for a leisurely lunch. It was served with a nice selection of breads and crackers as well as pickled asparagus and these tiny red peppers that were just scrumptious. Everything was fresh and delicious. The spot is intimate and makes for a nice diversion on a leisurely afternoon. It would also be a cute date night spot. Small bar upfront, a few tables and outdoor seating in the front and back of the store. We originally were sitting at the bar, but when we found out they had seating out back, we decided to move out. In retrospect, I wish we had stayed in as it was a fairly hot day and while we had a nice view of the river, there was still a parking lot and dumpster between us and the view. Service was quite accommodating — everyone was super friendly. Refills were brought quickly and we didn’t feel ignored for choosing to sit at one of the few tables out back. I would definitely stop back in to this cute spot and I am glad we decided to stay that day — our call for the other spot never came.

Smorgas-board — a good mix of small bites. You get some juicy dates, some parm cheese that reminded me of taking a bite of pizza almost(quite enjoyable), some deviled eggs, and a duck and fig-tini. It’s a lovely app. We also ordered a few cheeses, which I thoroughly enjoyed and had a range of flavor. And the flatbread everyone recommended — I think it was angus and bleu. We ordered the perfect amount of food for two… because we ended the meal with a molted lava cake the chef recommended. Sidenote — the chef is worth meeting, she’s talented, interesting, and you’ll want to give them your business as they do a nice job of caring about patrons. It’s a wine bar. I had a flight of wines and ended up finding a new fav — Michel Gassier Cercius Rouge. I preface my wine recommendation by expressing that I’m a wine novice, but this red suited me and the meal. There happened to be a camera guy filming a couple on their first date after meeting online. Added a little excitement to the eve. Pretty entertaining. The restaurant does close at 9pm, which is a bit of a bummer, but how often do you eat dinner after 9pm anyways. Let’s be real. I’m not sure how late they stay open in general, but folks were still being seated for vino at 9:30 when we were heading out. We’ll be back soon!

I love coming to the Bottle Stop. We live down the block and the people there are great! They just added gluten free pizza. The wine is great, the food is wonderful and now you can eat gluten free. Try the Cheezy pizza and sit out back and watch the river where the big birds abound!

My friend and I stopped in tonight and had the best time! Barbara was so fun to be around and she was very attentive to everything we needed! We enjoyed the Chardonnay, the meat/cheese platter and the dates wrapped in bacon w/chorizo! The music was perfect for us… we will definitely be back!

Just had an amazing meal at Bottle Stop! We started with the Duck and Fig-tini which was perfect. The bread was crisp but soft and the fig jam was on-point. Then I had the pizza flatbread with angus steak and blue cheese. It was easily one of the better flatbreads I have had. My girlfriend got the cheesy flatbread and instantly fell in love with it. I had a beer and she had a glass of wine. We loved everything about this place and will be coming back soon! PS it was great to have the waitstaff, owner and chef talk to us and ask about our experience. Very classy.

Great place to stop in and have a glass of wine or to grab a bite to eat. We’ve come here a couple times; both just for some wine and for a meal. The food is really tasty and seems too change up the menu a lot which is always nice. The service is really friendly and knowledgeable and the wine list is great. A great place for a date!

Wow! This is a fantastic, quaint, intimate spot in the heart of historic Occoquan. It’s the kind of spot where you can tell there are frequent patrons and the server knew everyone by name. A very relaxed atmosphere. We sat next to a couple who had been married for 30 years and they proceeded to tell us the secret to longevity. Ha! I had the Cobb salad with salmon«bacon» and substituted the blue cheese for cheddar. The balsamic vinaigrette is sweet and sassy and really complimented the salmon. I topped my meal off with the Trumpet Cru dessert wine. This was a night cap but I was starved for some greens. My friend had a glass of Malbec with the Tavern mac n cheese and said it was also really good. Next time I’ll try one of the pizzas because the couple beside me mentioned how wonderful it was. There is a very nice wine selection available to purchase, too.

All Choked Up with a glass of Le Perle from Gaillac France was an absolute delight for lunch. My companion had the beef sliders with Vins de Vienne Cotes du Rhone. The shop also carries Pianetta Wines which is one of my favorite vineyards from Paso Robles. This is a great date place or the perfect way to spend an afternoon.
