Smallcakes

The cupcakes are really good but the attitude of the middle-​aged woman that runs the place is awful. Two visits and both were unpleasant. The first time I came in with a group of four and she gave us this look like she was perturbed that she had to serve us. When we asked her about Smallcakes being a franchise, her tone went south. So grumpy. Today I went in for six cupcakes. I noticed these blue ones behind the counter. I asked her what they were and she goes, «No, no, no, no, no,» like I’m a child or about to jump over the counter. I’m done with that place. Decent dessert, absolutely poor personality.

Good desert option after a filling meal. Just the right amount of cake to frosting. Creative favors. Had the Candied Pig, and was not disappointed. Would recommend to anyone.

Amazing cupcakes! I mean reallllllyy amazing! I’ve tried at least 6 of their cupcake flavors and all were moist and perfect cake to icing ratio. Worth the price for sure. Keep up the great work!

Sorry USA Today but what criteria did you use to rank this the #1 cupcake shop? Probably something like the number of franchises around the country because it sure can’t be about the cupcakes itself?
Definitely need to offer gluten free option every day and not only twice a week.
Flavors available were creative. I enjoyed my birthday cake cupcake but the amount of sugar in the frosting left me with a headache for hours. We also got the Hostess cupcake which was missing the filling. When we told the owner, he said «yeah you’re right». No offer to give us another to make up for it whatsoever.
I noticed other patrons taking one cupcake in that beautiful, gorgeous box, sitting down to eat it at the establishment, then tossing the box into the trash. Astonished by the unconscious wasteful behavior, I pointed this out to the owner who admitted he didn’t really care. It didn’t bother him. Any business owner who fails to care for the environment around us in this day and age is not one I am willing to support.

I ordered half a dozen cupcakes for my girlfriend and Rasha was amazing with her customer service with my special requests. I didn’t get the chance to sample any of them, but they were very well received. I would definitely recommend Smallcakes.

I got a cream soda cupcake. It tasted nothing like cream soda even though an employee told me they mix cream soda into the batter. I was a bit disappointed by the taste of this cupcake.

Walking into the cupcakery you wouldn’t know it that they have 90 locations internationally as they still maintain that small town feel. Décor and the cupcakes are bright and inviting.
I was salivating wanting more after chowing down on their Red Velvet cupcake. It was moist w/​just the right amount of cocoa and the cream cheese icing was plentiful and extremely smooth. They make their 18 signature flavors everyday plus usually one or two specialty flavors. There’s more than plenty to choose from Eat in and relax in uplifting atmosphere or take them home for later.
Tip: Ask for their free punch card!

Great cup cakes; they were the hit of the party.

I tried the red velvet cupcake from the smallcakes cupcakery and it was delicious! The cake part was really moist and it had a ton of icing. I love icing. One of my problems with most cupcakes is that they don’t have enough icing. Not these cupcakes. There was a perfect ratio of cake to icing in every bite. Great cupcakes!

Recently found this place and I admit I’m not a big cupcake fan but overall the cupcakes were very good. Not sure if I want to keep spending that amount on cupcakes but it was a nice treat.

I love cupcake places but be warned I have had the best so I am very picky. You better have a great recipe if the only thing you are making are cupcakes. «Wow, me.» This place did not. However, the shop is darling, service outstanding, and the price is okay for a splurge item like specialty cupcakes. All the cupcakes in this very pink shop looked wonderful on display. Not sure about the Fruity Pebbles one though. lol– I got two to go. The Caramel One with pretzels on top and a Banana Crème Pie one. Both were just okay. Nothing to write home about. The caramel one was a bit dry. The banana one tasted like banana bread with a custard filling. I liked it. Surprising to me, it was the better of the two. However, nothing to sigh over. I have had better.

The cake is very good and moist. Could definitely cut back on the icing a little bit. Had to scrape some of it off in order to enjoy just the right amount of icing and cake ratio. From an at home baker to you guys, keep doing what you do, you make amazing cupcakes just cut back on using so much icing and they will be perfect!
