Sterk’s of Oberlin

Martini Tuesday. They just don’t have a martini menu, or know how to make any martini you might request. Like a grasshopper, or a White Russian. Apparently none of the bartenders have a smartphone to look them up either. You must get a traditional martini or they are out of their depth. I also think our waitress was someone’s mom. Very sweet, but terribly slow. Food wasn’t bad, but the service and drinks were terrible. Well, I ended up with an unsweetened ice tea. They knew what that was.

I’ve had dinner and lunch. Both times the service was awful and the price didn’t match the quality of the products they served. I would not recommend this eatery to friends or family, when oberlin has similar offerings with quality food and well trained attentive staff.

Horrible service, mediocre food, gloomy dingy décor, (smoke covered old ceiling tiles) and pricey. Don’t waste your time or money. Won’t be going back and would not recommend

I just ate at Sterks for the first time after being given a coupon from a friend. The food is absolutely delicious. I got a wrap and burger and split it with my girlfriend so I could try both. Both were great and our orders were made quickly. It is also worth noting that this is one of a few restaurants in Oberlin with a TV if you are looking to catch a game. They also do a ton of catering but I haven’t looked into that. Overall, I highly recommend.

my friend and I had the thanksgiving dinner we were hoping for! also amazing wings… highly recommend the bourbon garlic. finished off the meal with a slice of coconut pie!

We set out to have an adventure at this new Oberlin restaurant and an adventure is what we got! We are so excited to call Sterk’s our new «place»! Ate the thanksgiving sandwich special and was overjoyed with the wings! So many sauce options! Cannot wait to come for $.60 wing night on Wednesdays!
Great service and such a homie feel
Loved the tavern dining section but could definitely see myself taking a date to the fancier dining room style side!

Opening night for the general public. Great décor, helpful and friendly staff.
The normal hick-​ups of an opening night. Service confused about offerings and how things work. More effort put into trying to get things done, than servicing customers.
The food once we got it was good. A nice tender, juicy burger billed as a ½# that «might have been a 1/​3# burger» before cooking. For $ 10 plus dollars, I as most, would have expected more. The side of hand cut fries while good, didn’t come close to making up for the lack of billed burger.
A nice selection of draft beers, that came out warm and with way too much head, considering «the state of the art glycol cooling system.
A nice fresh look to a tired old Oberlin landmark, done on a budget.
I really hope they get their act together and work out the kinks, to fill a much needed void in Lorain County.
