Great store! I travel a great deal for work and shop in my spare time. I’ve never seen an optical store like this (well, other than their Cincinnati store which is also awesome). I browse in New York, San Francisco and beyond, but only buy glasses and sunglasses from Eye 1 because they have the best selection on the planet.
The service is great too! The first time I shopped there, the salesperson took one look at me and handed me a really cute pair to try on. They were perfect — so perfect that after about 30 minutes of trying stuff on, I bought that very first pair.

This is the best place for eyeglasses — by far. They have a large selection of unique eyeglasses and sunglasses as well as the most helpful (and patient) staff (thank you Linda and David).
I don’t live in the Dayton/​Cinci region (10 years in DC), but when I need eyeglasses I make plans to visit my family in Dayton and head over to Eye-​1.
I’ve been an Eye-​1 customer for well over 20 years (original shop in Yellow Springs) and have purchased nearly a half-​dozen eyeglasses/​sunglasses from them.
