Philly’s Phatties

Should have listened to the earlier reviewer. This review is simply based on the one item I ate. I ordered a cheesesteak wrap and it was essentially a cheesesteak hoagie in a wrap form. I double checked their menu and there was no mention of mayo, lettuce, or tomato being in the wrap. So, I wish the item was named more accurately.

We were having a very lazy, Netflix kind of binge day and I mentioned this place since I have not had from them before. I loved that I could order right from my Unilocal app. Super fast delivery!
I went with all the usual fried beginnings: small cheese fries, mozzarella sticks and broccoli bites. All good, nothing special standard bar foods.
The cheesesteak wrap was what I was aiming for and he went with the bacon cheesesteak. Mine was with lettuce, tomatoes and maybe mayo? Some sauce was in there and it was eh. I thought it was going to be just the meat and cheese wrapped up in a tortilla, which would have been awesome. His looked a little dry, but he didn’t complain.
Would I order again from here? Absolutely. It’s a big menu and I would love to try their pizza and one of those «Phattie» sandos at some point :)

This is our local pizza joint – and we are fans! The pizza is delicious-​they use a garlic butter on the crust. I always ask for the pizza to be «extra crispy or well done». We have also gotten cheese steaks from here and they are good. The salads are what you might expect from a small pizza shop-​good but nothing special. We love these guys – the food is always on time, and to our liking. We don’t stray too much from our usuals –pizza and occasionally a cheese steak. A large pizza is only $ 12!

I make a point of eating here whenever I’m in the area. Always excellent service, friendly staff, reasonable prices, and some of the best food in the area. The phatzarotti is always a favorite of mine, very good pizza and cheese steaks. I prefer regular buffalo sauce on my wings, but the famous sauce is amazing to dip the chicken fingers. Favorite pizza/​cheesesteak place, just wish I had one close enough to eat there regularly.

I don’t usually post negative stuff but I’m not really sure how this place has gotten such high reviews, so I figured I’d share my experience (s) with them.
Let’s start with the positive, and since there is some, they’ve received 2 stars rather than 1.
1) They are fast. Like 15 min from order to delivery. That’s great! No one does that!
2) My boyfriend likes their buffalo chicken cheesesteaks and their BBQ chicken pizza. So there’s that.
My experiences have been quite different, so onto the negative! I have given Philly’s Phatties more than its fair share of chances, like a minimum of half a dozen times. Obviously I believe in second chances. But, I kid you not, aside from the first time, EVERY SINGLE TIME I ordered it arrived messed up. I mean, if you order from a place enough times the odds are that eventually something will go wrong, but EVERY time? Seriously? Either I’m cursed or this place has no care about their quality. Plus, it’s mediocre junk food at its absolute best.
Major complaints:
1) I have ordered the tofu wrap 3 times (the first was good) and it has come prepared vastly different 3 times.
2) If you are going to charge extra for standard things like lettuce and tomato ($.30 each!) or a side of sauce, those items darn well better be included. Every time I customized a sandwich so that it was more than just cheese and bread it came missing everything I ordered or, with additional cheese I didn’t ask for.
3) When you put a hot sandwich into the oven, it should be timed so that it is not burned. If you accidentally burn it, remake it, don’t serve it! (My eggplant parm was charcoal)
4) Their apps (mozz sticks, onion rings, etc) are the cheap frozen kind. Some places use those, fine. But make sure they’re cooked! We received frozen mozz sticks more than once.
We had been ordering off if grubhub and so thought maybe the notes, options, etc weren’t transferring so we tried calling in the order… and same result. Missing extras I paid for, received burned or just overall sloppy and disgusting food.
So, despite their speed, this place has lost our business. Gross, disappointing junk.

Had delivery from here the other night. Nothing was hot the wing were cooled off and not very good at all. I got the phire sauce which I was told would be hot but it wasn’t and lacked flavor. The buffalo chicken cheesesteak was just ok and the panzaratti was greasy and just ok. Maybe they didn’t give me a takeout menu for a reason. Would I try them again? Most likely not

The cheese steaks are what’s up! Pizza is on point, and the fries were perfecto!

Pizza is the best I’m South Jersey! Phattie Cheese Steaks are good too. Prices are very reasonable!

Great junk food, great prices. Delivery times are on average. Have not had a bad order yet

Had a chicken cheesesteak it was OK. Décor is cool lots of Phillips and Eagles stuff. Also they only sell Pepsi products :(

Easily the best local pizza joint, if ur in the area you must give it a try. big portions cheap prices and great food.

This place was most excellent this was great steak hoagie, it was more Italian in style thank a Philly Cheesesteak, it had lettuce, onions tomatoes, sprinkled with oregano, which really made a difference. I had fries with my hoagie which were also very good and large. the guys who worked here all gave great service.
They had some really cheap deals on pizza, which I was more hungry so I could have tried a slice.

I have been going there for years. Great food & amazing cheesesteaks! Ever passing through this small town you have to stop in. You will not be disappointed! The staff is awesome and friendly as if they have been your friends for years. They have a tv and Will put on anything you want to watch kids shows for children, football or baseball games for sports lovers. Will always be my favorite all time place to go.

I’m a first time customer. I’v heard lots of good things about this place. It is around the corner from me too! It was delish! I was going to take a photo of my cheesesteak but it was so good. I forgot!

Recently relocated to Haddon Township. Picked this place randomly and haven’t searched any further. Very good pizza. Will explore the rest of their menu.

Best pizza in the Oaklyn area everything we tryed on the menu has been really good
mozzarella sticks, wings, cheese steak, chicken parm, chicken cheese steak, cheese fries all winners!!! Also took advantage of there sweet groupon deal!!!

I’d give five stars for the chicken parm pizza and one star for the chicken fingers, so here we are at three stars.
Really, though, the Groupon deal is awesome, and anyone who likes sports (particularly the Phillies, obviously), would enjoy this place in downtown Oaklyn. The chicken fingers were way too dry, even after dousing them in honey mustard. But the chicken parm pizza was great! I’ll actually be having some for dinner tonight.
It’s hard for me to give a pizza place more than three stars, but I may update my review if I stop back in and try more options. I’m curious about their Italian hoagie, and for that matter, their Italian Meats pizza.

Great place with really good pizza! Pretty cheap too, not often that excellent quality is paired with cheaper prices.

Going to these young guys for years. Great food at great prices! Pizza is among the best of south jersey. Crust is just right, cheese is the best, toppings are ample even for this heavyweight!
Stay away from the big chains and order local and get a taste of real pizza!
