Authentic, yummy(truly), so cheap, and an enjoyable cultural experience. Order at counter in front of stacks of steamers. Self-serve tea. Translator not available.

This place serves decent food. It’s not top-notch quality, but you get good value for your money. I highly recommend their buns. They’re only 0.70cents so there’s not a lot of dilling, but it’s .70cents! The quality of the buns is very good. It’s fluffy, moist and stays soft for a long time. They serve good SiaoMai. The Sharksfin dumpling was so so. The filling was tasty, but the wonton wrap was a bit thick and dry. Mind you, I ate it cold since I bought ut in the morning and ate them 4hrs later. I have yet to try their other dim sum. I plan to try every variety that they have. I don’t recommend their rice cake. The taste was ok, but it the ones I got were a bit dry. I tried their rice topping with spareribs and chicken feet. I couldn’t believe that I could still get a full meal at $ 2.80 until I tried it myself. They’re open pretty early. This place is a ‘WYSIWYG’(What You See Is What You Get) type of place. Everyone is so courteous and helpful.

This is one of the worst places I’ve every been too. I went to another dim sum place in Oakland ready to get my grub on, but unfortunately they were closed and a lot of other’s surrounding were closing because it was close to 3PM. I found this place on Unilocal,it had decent reviews and was open until a later time, so I decided to try it out. The place looked run down, the service was mediocre, and the food was waaaaay below par. I relied on the english part of the menu and was carefully looking through it to find what I wanted, the lady kept rudely asking me what I wanted before I could make up my mind! I had to go back and forth between the end where she was placing the items on the tray and the center to look at the menu before she eventually shouted at me «Hey lady!» gesturing me to the end where she shoved a separate menu at me. They ended up not having a lot of items that I wanted. I ended up with shrimp dumpling that seemed like it was over cooked then left out to dry and shrivel into hard plasticy material at the ends were the dough was pinched. The turnip cake was watery at the bottom of the dish and tasted like it was made from powder with a chalky texture. The steamed yolk bun was completely runny on the inside, which I tossed afterwards in fear of salmonella. The rice noodle shrimp and chive? dumpling were the only decent things we ate. I togoed the rest of the turnip cake and yolk buns, but ended up tossing it as I walked back to the car. Final words? I will never go there again, nor recommend this place to anyone.

I stumbled upon this place because it was too early to get Shandong buns. I will definitely be adding it to my dim sum rotation! They have a fairly limited menu, but it’s almost all translated into English; a nice touch. The ladies working here are old-school Cantonese/Toisan. The hot steamed selection includes a few different sweet and plain breads, chicken buns, and pork buns. There are some meat over rice dishes, which is what I tried. Tasty and hit the spot – they have things like sparerib, chicken feet, or chicken/mushroom. There are a fairly large number of banquettes where you can sit and eat your food; it combines the«order at the counter» convenience with the ability to sit there and eat it instead of schlepping it to go.

Tried their chicken feet and spareribs over rice USD2.5 served in a stainless steel container with more rice, a better value would be from Big Dish Restaurant for USD1.75 with less rice.

Although this place is still new, it’s alright. I like where this restaurant is located at and how cheap it is too! I really can’t wait for this restaurant to touch up more and become even better.
