W’s Bar & Grill

Very disappointing… was there 3x and it got worse each time… I’m done trying. Food was mediocre at best. White clam pizza was mushy and soggy and the pepperoni pizza was the kind I would expect at a rest stop on the NJ turnpike… nachos were boring. Arugula pizza was very good but not enough for a return trip. a shame too because first few times it was pretty decent and it was right around the corner from my house. Maybe the lost the previous chef? Something was up… ill spend my $$$ elsewhere

Food is just okay. Typical bar food. My girl had the corned beef… she loved it.
The service was horrible. Granted, it was football Sunday. The waitress didn’t stop by us once to check if we needed something. We needed more napkins and had to do without them. She kept checking the people around up (larger parties) and continually skipped over us. It was very frustrating.

We had a party on a Friday afternoon in the Atrium room. We called on a Monday and the party was booked for Friday. The food was perfect, as recommended by the owner who personally worked with me to arrange the event. We had over 30 guests and each one said that the food was great. The staff was extremely attentive and very nice. We will definitely be returning and I highly recommend W’s Bar and Grill to everyone. And the price was also fantastic.

Was here yesterday for a repast. The owner was more than accommodating, the food from the buffet was fantastic. Wine was a generous pour. I think i’ll order catering trays from them in the future. This is my new favorite!

Went to W’s with a few of my friends and was blown away by my experience. Great food, even better drinks, and an outstanding atmosphere. We truly felt like family. Definitely going back soon!

Service is good, but the food left a lot to be desired. When buying a $ 10 I expect it to be better than what I would get at Wendy’s. Unfortunately, it wasn’t. The drinks are OK, but the food is very pricey. We came here on a whim, and probably won’t be back here again.

I almost passed this place up thinking it was just another bar with generic bar food. What a pleasant surprise! The pizza is FANTASTIC and the other menu items (though limited) we’re excellent. Bartenders are friendly and I have now gone there 3 times since moving to Oakland (2 weeks ago) Do not hesitate to go!

Great place for the area. Great service, very good food, decent beer selection, nice atmosphere. Definitely coming back often.

We’ve been in here three times and have enjoyed the experience so far. It’s your typical pub with a bonus specials menu that changes frequently. It’s worth checking out for the specials! Always some cool cocktails in the mix there too. Hosting staff has always been friendly and table service has been good.
Regular menu is on the smaller side and I always struggle to find something and usually wind up getting the same thing. I have a very small list of foods I’ll eat, so someone who isn’t so picky will find variety especially with the specials menu.

I’ve gone 3 time since new ownership and name change. Have to say it hasn’t disappointed from service to food anytime of the. My first visit I noticed Empanadas on menu. Asked waitress about them. She said everything was freshly made since the new chef has come in. I was one of three so did not order, but ordered the burger. Have to say was the best I’ve ever had outside my own. Cooked perfectly to my liking, juicy and huge! The only disappointment were the jarred industrial pickle slices, might just want to leave them off. My third visit ordered both types of empanadas for table. They were delicious, the dough used you could tell was homemade. The sauce with a kick was perfect! If your looking for a local place with great food this is the place! Just keep in mind a smaller menu allows for perfection from the kitchen.

Really good place. French onion soup was outstanding and blue cheese burger was delicious. Bartender was very sweet. Only thing I could complain about was they brought out my burger before I was done with my soup which is a pet peeve of mine. Will be a regular here.

New ownership has taken over… they have made subtle changes for the better… sometimes you need that go to place… this could be it… it is nice stop and the staff is friendly. …the food is good… and the drinks are always good… I have given this place more than one chance and it keeps getting better with the new ownershio.

What a delightful experience the Mrs. and I had there last night. From the moment we walked in we felt safe. It could have been the ambience, or the décor, but what really did it for us was our extremely friendly and helpful waiter Jason. Our food came out quickly, delicious and all around majestic. He was there to refill our drinks when we needed it, and share a few laughs with us along the way. We thoroughly enjoyed our appetizer, the sampler platter… as well as our entrees, I had the cheesesteak and my better half had the grilled chicken wrap. Definitely will be returning!

What a pleasant surprise. Greeted at the door by a nice young lady. Waitress was spot on… But the real deal was the arugula pizza super thin. Crispy … And wonderful. A must try

The takeout service was a little unorganized but the food was delicious and prepared quickly. The french fries are hand cut, which is always a treat and my burger was great.

When we got there, the restaurant was almost empty. Our waiter was very friendly, and he always refilled my drink without me even asking. I ordered the buffalo wings for an appetizer and a burger for dinner, by buddy ordered teriyaki wings. My wings were tasty, but theirs were dry and didn’t have enough sauce. And after I ate three wings, my burger came out, and by the time I touched it, it lost some of its flavor. The main problem is timing.

The bar is just great… The attention to detail in the kitchen is apparent. The food is wonderful! Welcome to the neighborhood.

First of all this is not the Elm St. Grill. It is under new ownership with a new chef. My family and I have eaten here three times already since the new ownership and we are very impressed with the quality of the food. Tonight I had the Buffalo Grilled Chicken Cobb Salad and it was amazing. The lettuce was so crispy and the dressing was to die for. Add in the grilled buffalo chicken, sliced avocado, bacon and hard-​boiled eggs and you’ve got an amazing salad. If you like burgers they are truly awesome. My son had the bacon cheeseburger and I finished half of it. The burger is so huge, fresh, and cooked to perfection and they serve real fresh-​cut french fries. My wife had a W’s grilled chicken house salad which was awesome also. I forgot to mention we had the fried zucchini appetizer which was really good. Their bar pies are really good and original. You would never believe that a restaurant/​bar would have great pizza. I highly recommend it as I am a pizza snob and their bar pies pass my high standards. I would put it ahead of Nellies or Kinchley’s any day — seriously. The other couple of times that I’ve had food I’ve had the wings which are great very thick and meaty wings, nachos grande, and the cheesesteak — all great choices. It’s very difficult to choose the food that I want when I go there because it is that good and I want it all!!! I highly recommend W’s grill!!!

Enjoyed a great cheesesteak with a few beers, my son had a buffalo chicken sandwich, also good. Enough TV’s to get a good view of the ball game, nice old fashioned bar, friendly owner, and a great atmosphere. Looks like they are making even more changes, so looking forward to coming back. Can’t wait to see some of the baseball memorabilia on the walls. Highly recommended.
