Great prices and a good old-fashioned breakfast menu. Service is excellent and accommodating.

This place was a good find. Be aware that they moved and are actually attached to a motel that’s a block or two away from the hospital. The prices are very reasonable, service was good, and the breakfast options were great. The food was delicious and I liked how their ham as a breakfast meat option ended up being a big piece of ham. The downside for me was that the grits were not fine enough and the water was very chlorinated. Other than that, if in the area, I will come back again.

Wonderful small town restaurant. Great sandwiches and small dishes. Gonna hit it soon for dinner(tonight). Whatever you do, don’t fill yourself up. You gotta try the pies. They are amazing!

My family and I were in WV for the weekend for a funeral. We had to eat of course so I fought my brother to go to this place versus a McDonald’s or Chinese place. Everyone thanked me after the meal. The waitress was nice even though we showed up late.(About ten to closing) I got the steak social with cabbage and fries. I hate cabbage but the waitress recommended it so I trusted her and I’m thankful I did. It was the best cabbage I’ve ever had. I could have ate fifty servings of it. The steak was great. One side was a little tough but it was delicious. The French fries were standard but awesome. I also stole some tilapia from my mother and it was good. My fiancé’s chicken tenders were good as well. The funnel cake sticks I wish I had more room for because they’re delicious. I can’t wait to go see family in wv, hopefully not for a funeral and if I ever stop by Oakland. I’m coming to the real Wendy’s. Service and pricing was EXCEPTIONAL.

Wendy’s is old town café type place. Rather small place décor id’s nice everything seems clean I have ate here on two occasions, had lunch(bacon cheese burger) that was really good then I had what they call the honey dipped chicken(fried chicken) wasn’t impressed chicken was rather rubbery didn’t care for ranch on the salad bar the cheddar bacon and potatoe soup was good. Service has always been good service prices are reasonable portions also reasonable.

This place was the first sit down place I went when I moved to town. They have changed hands once, but it only made the food better. A former waitress now owns the place so the service is top notch. The food is your standard country cooking. Breakfast is the star of Wendy’s if you ask me. The portions are generous, but the prices are a tad higher than you may expect. Right in the heart of downtown it is a quaint small town place that is still as good as ever.

Excellent food, excellent service. Above average portions. My steak was cooked perfectly(still bleeding). The waitress was courteous and attentive without being overbearing. My girl and I had an wonderful dining experience, and the waitress got a 30% tip. A must try if you are in downtown Oakland.

It’s a family owned old fashioned family restaurant. Staff is nice and only one person is serving maybe 10 tables at the same time. Customers seems to be very patience, and they might know one another from the same neighborhood. It’s pretty fair food. We ordered the breakfast ad the ham is better than bacon. Not many places you can go to dine out in this area so I will recommend this place. 3 stars is simu because I feel like it.

This is a family-style restaurant serving standard American fare. The chicken tenders(plain and Buffalo-style) were great but not home-made. The french fries and onion rings were better than we expected, o-rings were freshly made. A real surprise was the Turkey reuben, made from fresh turkey, not processed lunchmeat. What we all loved most were the fresh home-made pies for dessert. We had pumpkin and cherry crumb, both were excellent. We also had some deliciously fattening funnel cake sticks. YUM! We will be back.
