PLEASESAYITAIN’T SO!!! This place is ALLTIMEGREAT! It’s just an incredible watering hole. It’s the first place I got wrecked at upon moving to Oaktown. My boy Foley from across the Bay counts this in his Top 5 bars on Earth(and this dude knows a pub). The scene is amazing, and the wings… DEARGODTHEWINGS!!! They are some of the best Buffalo wings ever made, and I’ve eaten 100s of wings in the city of Buffalo, NY. There are cop shields on the wall from cities all across the country. I pray to sweet tiny little baby Jesus they reopen.

I’ve come here twice — once to watch a Giants game and then to watch the end of the Warriors game where they made history with their 16 – 0 start to this year’s season. Chose it over Mad Oak cuz I thought parking would be easier. My friend and I easily got a table with a clear view to their largest screen. Nice bartender and hilarious, friendly and diverse group of regulars who were really welcoming. Only $ 4.50 per pour. Super chill vibe and great place to watch a game!

Love this place. It’s our go to place to watch NFL games. Good bar food and great drinks. One of the few places we’ve found that does pitchers.

It’s like a diner. Pretty basic, but what makes them awesome is they always play the Vikings with sound. There are always a group of fans too! Like the Bell Tower only in Oakland.

This place is a great local spot, for some reason it’s a cop bar, but it doesn’t feel unfriendly(there aren’t just white people here). I came here after seeing a movie in Jack London and wanting some inexpensive dinner. There are tons of regulars to chat with, and the nicest bar tenders. They don’t mind if you put on any kind of song on the juke box and sing your heart out, in fact, they’ll sing with you and wont be stumped by any genre twist. Get the wings, skip the Tri-Tip sandwich.

The go-to-place outside Merchants Saloon, when MS becomes too rowdy or the bartenders are out to lunch. This is a mellow place with friendly people and the prices are moderate. Not much of a rye selection but they make a mean gin and tonic. It’s a cop bar through and through, so if you’re a jerk who dislikes officers, maybe it’s best if you stay out of the place. Should you visit, be friendly, tip well, and enjoy your stay.

Holy cop bar batman! In all my years, I’ve never seen anything like it. Wall to wall of cop paraphanalia. Who in sick mind… er…I forgot, a cop station is just a few blocks away. But even in my amazement, the place is really clean, and I reckoned very few fights/shady activity will ever occur here, so there is a bright side. More pub than it is a dive. Looks very restaurant-y for a bar. Drinks solid and cheap. Food very 80’s pub grub, mozz sticks and tater skins. The pricing is very 80’s also with a lot of things ranging from $ 6 – 8. Did I walk through a time portal? Either way, it’s a good thing, always nice to have a cheap eats option. The wings are good. But they are large whole wings, so there is some degree of dismantling. It is really nicely fried and the sauces are off to the side. I’d get these again, great bar grub. Tri-tip sandwich was not good however. The French roll was over toasted(almost burnt) while the meat was barely noticeable. Maybe a burger is a lot safer/better. But I’ll give the kitchen talent the benefit of the doubt. And there’s Hot Spot to be played, so I can indulge in some keno action whilst noshing. Very Nevada-ish sensibilities. I actually won 4 bucks while I was eating my wings and a beer. When was the last time you got paid to grub? That’s what I thought.

Love this bar. Great staff and service. CHEAP drinks. The food is not the most amazing, but it’s good for what you get.

It’s real close, clean and mostly consistent. The waiters/bartenders for lunch are friendly and work really hard. American food– burgers, grilled sandwiches, chili, gringo-styled tacos and burritos, sometimes nice pasta dishes, big salads, good fries, and massive wings! Usually quick. I must say, although not a gourmet place, they get my business very frequently. I usually prefer to go to Vietnamese places in Chinatown, but this is really close to my office. Not so many cops anymore. Police drinking policy change? Bring back the Elk burgers!

Clean establishment with great food, service, and drink! The bar keep was very friendly and made sure that I was happy. The grilled chicken breast sandwich was wonderful as well as the house salad. I ordered a pyramid hefeweizen to go with it which was poured well and tasted great with the lemon!

Great simple local bar with far prices and good pours. And the salads are pretty solid as well. Very refreshing when the loca trend is to charge $ 8 for a «club» pour. IUts exactly what you would expect, no pretnetions. Defineitley will be back

I love this place! Great drinks(really cheap, I got a Moscow mule for 7 $) ! and the food is the typical bar food you expect. I got the fish n chips, it was wonderful while watching the Warriors game. This establishment is not a 5 star restaurant kind of deal, so set you’re expectations accordingly. Great bar food!

Great staff, delicious bar food(the Ruben was GREAT). The price was excellent and the quantity and quality of the food was better than expected. Looks like a dive bar, but the quiet ambiance with solid beer on tap was perfect for brunch with friends.

#38 The Warehouse Bar and Grill is the total«Cheers» experience at the dive bar level. Friendly staff, tons of regulars – and I mean REGULAR regulars, good and greasy bar food and apparently, heavy handed pouring. I first discovered the Warehouse about two years ago. I was looking for a sports bar to watch the Saints game on a big screen with other rowdy fans, of which Oakland does not have many. The few I have visited either made me uncomfortable, restless, bad food or just plain terrible customer service. So, I kept looking… A friend told me about the Warehouse, problem solved: game time! I found parking pretty easily on the street and walked inside. They were pretty crowded with people, mostly sports fans, but also some random college kids too. And I cannot fail to mention the«regulars» littered throughout the establishment. This is when I realized the Warehouse must be THE local spot. I found a table in front of the OLD big screen TV. The bartender came out and greeted me from behind the bar and offered me a drink and a menu. She was really friendly and seemed to have this whole place under control. I was impressed. She fussed at a regular who was a bit intoxicated and annoying some women at the bar top while she handled a patron with a dog while she told the guys at the table next to me she was about to refill their beverages while she took my food order… WOW! While watching sports and talking to people all around me I waited on the food: Cheese Sticks House Salad Tuna Melt with Swiss Cheese The cheeses sticks were nothing special, but they were good. Hot, cheesy, delicious and served with ranch and marinara. Next came my tuna melt and salad together. The tuna melt was simply divine. It was exactly what I expect from a greasy spoon type diner, so it really hit the spot. The salad was also nothing amazing, but good. The service was what really made me want to come back. The Warehouse became my go to spot for the NFL and NBA games I wanted to watch locally. Every time I visit the staff remembers me and warmly greets me. I really like the Warehouse Bar and Grill. Great people, good food. Stephani Smiles for the Warehouse Bar and Grill ;)

Cozy pub that would almost feel like someone’s basement game room or mancave if it weren’t for the fact that this place is a favorite of off-duty law enforcement staff, and, as such, is completely decked out, wall to wall and floor to ceiling, with police department badges and shields, and even a memorial wall to fallen officers. There are a decent amount of brews on tap, a food menu that gets the job done, and sports screens galore; everything is fairly reasonably priced. Service is friendly enough, and it’s quite clear that most, if not all, of the folks here are regulars. Worth visiting just to check out the sheer extensiveness of the memorabilia alone.

This place is full of character and I am so glad it was the location for my first ever Sunday NFL football in California. From the law enforcement memorabilia on the walls to the numerous TV’s all covering sports, this place is a hole-in-the-wall seekers dream! Five words people… Best. Damn. Chicken. Wings. EVER! Looking forward to the 49ers v Raiders game this Sunday!

I’ll try to keep this short & simple. Summary: it was just okay. Food was not good. I ordered a burrito and it was folded rather than rolled. I ended up leaving half of the burrito. Chipotle can do a better job… But I can understand that maybe I ordered the wrong thing. We also ordered chili cheese fries. They were decent. I went with co-workers and they ordered the wings. They said the wings were pretty good. Another co-worker ordered the chicken sandwich which she said was okay. Service: It was okay. The server was really nice. I asked her for a recommendation and she was nice and responded that both things were popular(burrito and chicken sandwich). They used plastic cups to serve the water at the tables(with stirrers as straws). In general, I would not go back.

Service was so quick that we were in and out in 40 mins – at least 7 of which were because I hadn’t yet finished my beer :) It’s a dive bar, but where I was expecting a narrow bar with no windows, shadows for patrons, and the feeling that you’re encroaching on someone else’s haunt, there was room to move, lots of light, and a feeling of being at someone’s cool grandma’s house. Lots of older folks and TVs and police stickers. We ordered two draft beers at $ 4.50 each, 3 tacos(and access to the taco bar) for $ 1 each(yeuh taco Tuesdays!), and a tuna melt with a side of cheese fries for $ 7.95. I’ve had better tuna melts, but with a beer in hand, this one was nonetheless delicious and comforting. Cheese fries were topped with nacho cheese, but the kind that tastes not as fake and gooey as the kind they serve at ballparks. Looking forward to making a return here! It feels like an Oakland establishment that everyone should pay homage to at least once :)
