Billy has been teaching my son guitar for the last 5 months. He is simply amazing. He has wonderful energy, excitement and enthusiasm as he teaches. My son is excited about practicing and wants to learn more and more each week. Other teachers did not have this affect on my son. My son also did a 3 O-​clock Rock Band camp last June and that was also a great experience. I can’t recommend Billy enough!

Billy is an enthusiastic teacher. He really connects the kids. He listened to my son about his likes and dislikes and modifies his curriculum to keep it interesting. He’s willing to modify the lesson plan and often showed up with a cd of new music, introducing my son to a variety of genres. I would highly recommend him.

My son has been taking guitar and drum lessons, and now piano and music theory as well, from Billy Ribak at 3 O’Clock Rock for four years now. I cannot recommend Billy highly enough. He is an extremely gifted teacher, and is able to inspire and empower kids through rock and roll in ways that seem pretty profound. He’s also a talented multi-​instrumentalist, which means he teaches all the major rock instruments (guitar, drums, bass, keyboard, plus he’s trained in viola). We’ve tried BandWorks in the past, but now that Billy offers ensemble/​band classes there’s just no reason to go back. The level of instruction and attention my son gets from Billy is unmatched.

Billy is an instructor at heart. He holds interactive sessions that give the students a chance to jam out and have fun while learning at the same time. This makes the whole process fun and not a chore.
