It’s too bad The Wright Construction Co only has a few reviews, but I’m not surprised they are all good. I assume Tom Wright gets most of his business through word of mouth, which speaks volumes of the quality he delivers. Tom is knowledgeable, honest, and appears to keep his overhead low(he drives an older un-logo’ed truck), and his prices are very competitive — while delivering high quality work in a range of construction project types. We met him while he spent a few weeks remodeling a neighbor apartment. He did great work from kitchen counters, plumbing, and floors, to paint. We hired him to help us evaluate one house we were under contract to buy in Oakland. His knowledge of the city and specific area, and his honest nature helped us determine it was not the right home for us. We then hired him to review another home and his expertise and attention to detail helped us feel comfortable making an offer(that was accepted!) without the inspection contingency. Of course we anticipate surprises, as we would even with an ‘officially’ inspected home. We look forward to hiring Tom for repairs on our new home. He is a jack of all trades and if you have a building task outside his area of expertise he knows the right person to bring in, expl; electrical work(his brother). His dog is the sweetest too! Whom he will bring with for house calls, or not, depending on you.

I just noticed the review from«Jim H.» and saw that he is from Northridge, CA, which is in Southern California and not within the area the Wright Construction Company services. I contacted Unilocal today(07/27/2012) to let them know about this issue and asked them to remove the review or have«Jim H.» explain himself further. I believe this is just a case of mistaken identity. Just wanted to go on record with this, as it is not fair to the company.
