I love the variety of the salad bar and hot food! Great selection and good food. I get carried away sometimes because the food is by weight!

Nice! By the name, you wouldn’t think this was a joint with lots of vegan options. In fact, I’d walked past here a number of times and peered in, but it still wasn’t obvious. It wasn’t until a workmate mentioned they had a salad bar that I actually went in and checked it out. This is one of 3 salad bars I know downtown — Fountain Café and High XII are the other 2 I know about. This seems like the most expensive, which is why it only gets 4 start rather than 5, *but* there are still a ton of vegan options, and they have some noodles and other items that make a change from the other spots. For the non-vegan options, there’s unusual choices of sushi and prawn rolls. So, if you want the cheapest and healthiest selection of salad buffets downtown, you should definitely go to High XII, but if you want to mix it up and try something different, this is the spot. Highly recommeneded.

I eat here at least three times per week and I never get tired of it. Lots and lots of choices, and easy to create a healthy meal with all the fruit, steamed veggies and salad fixins they have. Go on a Wednesday or Thursday and try the posole soup!

There are so few times in life in which a sandwich is so horribly crafted that you want to make sure others know about it too. I ordered a special yesterday, thinking it should be a fast order. It turned out to be a fried chicken + coleslaw sandwich on burned sourdough roll. Did I mention it took 20 minutes? It was an instant stomache in a bun. Never going back.

This place is one of my favorite places to eat. They have a wide variety of food and I eat here at least twice a week. One of my favorite dishes is the steamed sole with ginger. I also enjoy the rotisserie chicken. I like the variety of soup as well. There is always good customer service. If you work in the area, want something delicious and cannot decide on what to eat… you wont be disappointment.

It’s a small place convenient for a quick lunch. I’ve come here at least 10 times in the last few months when I only have a 30 minute lunch break. I wouldn’t come here with a big group as there is very little seating. Even at lunch, sometimes I have to take my food to go because the 10 seats they have are taken. The goods: chow mien wings spicy coconut chicken I’ll be coming back!

Tried the fish sandwich, really good. Looks like their specialty sandwiches are a winner and for $ 7.25 or less. Some of the other food there looked ust okay but I’m going to back to try the pork and chicken next time

If you’re on any sort of diet, you’re bound to find something to fit the bill here. Pay by the pound bar with plenty of the usual, fresh salad options PLUS hot bar foods. Decent sized sitting area is clean. Next time I’m trying the thai iced tea.

Out of no where, I was introduced to this place for lunch. Had the fried fish sandwich. To my amazement, it was really good. It was a little expensive but well worth the price. Rating Food: 4.5 Price: 3 Service: 4 Overall: 4 I may find myself back to this place soon.

This place is ! It was lunch Time on a Tuesday and they weren’t too Busy and adequately staffed. I came for my first time and I had hella questions. They were so sweet and helpful, I really appreciated the friendly customer service. They have a huge sandwich menu and also a huge salad and hot food bar! I got 2 rotisserie chicken sandwiches on dutch crunch and some fresh spring rolls. Everything was suuuuper delicious! So fresh! All their food looked so good and fresh and I’m usually reaaaally picky with buffet style food bars but I wanna try everything here! They have lots of drink selections as well! A great lunch spot!

Not the healthiest or freshest food around town. Much better options around like Stags and Pho84 that is better bang for your buck. The food is in a buffet style where you put it in a container(you get charged 10 cents minimum for each container) and then the food is weighed. Kind of pricey for what you’re getting. Heavy on the salt and oil here. I won’t be returning.

…Tasty food buffet! Love the salt n pepper fried chicken wings and fried rice… However, they are being fancy with 0.44 cents p/oz(that’s just my own personal opinion).ex: 1 loosely scoop of fried rice with 6 bite size pcs of bbq pork and 2 pcs of chicken wings = $ 8 .overall Yummerz!

The Rotisserie Deli definitely is a deli but the rotisserie part eludes me. offerings: sammies, .44 cents@ounce salad/hot food bar eats: hot reuben sammie(6) –lots of pastrami, sauerkraut on deli bread –pastrami dry, not home made, kraut made sammie sour tasting –better than average, 3.5 stars crumbs: –fast service, 2 cashiers –fried sandwich or fried pork chop sammie an alterative choice –metered parking only.

Solid salad bar, with an array of prepared food. This is a place I default to when I only have a few minutes to shove some food in my mouth between meetings, because there is really nowhere else where I can grab a decent, healthy meal and make it back to my desk before my screensaver turns on. I’ve gotten the sandwich once — for sandwiches, I find that there are better options. But the prepared food bar can’t be beat for the combination of convenience and quality.

So my frame of reference is that I’ve been here once and I recently went to Deli Fresh a few blocks north on 22nd st, next to Ike’s. I definitely think this place has a lot of variety, but some of the salad items are pretty old looking and not as presentable(namely the avocado). I would definitely go to Deli’s Fresh again over this place mainly because of quality and freshness. I got 9 bucks worth cause I was pretty hungry and I lost track of the weight too, haha. This place is reasonably priced but some of the hot items are hit or misses. I really liked the fish but the teriyaki chicken was pretty terrible. My salad that I made was good but it didn’t seem like the ingredients were that fresh as I mentioned earlier. I will come back again if I don’t want to walk to Deli Fresh for my salad, but it’s all in all a good option for lunch.

Good deli lunch option! These have a pretty good salad bar with a bunch of fresh and tasty hot and cold options. I think it’s 6.49 per ib. I get in trouble there now and then because I end up piling it on a little heavy because all the good things will weigh down the scale… but that’s my own fault. Of their deli options. I haven’t tried many of them but I enjoy their: — Fried chicken sandwich — It’s not as good as bakesale betty but it’s a good cheap alternative. — Porkchop sandwich — They have this breaded boneless porkchop sandwich. They’re breaded and fried very well, like japanese ton katsu. I really like this sandwich.

The Rotisserie is a great lunch spot if you work in downtown Oakland. They also have one of the best breakfast layouts(Mmmm bacon) considering price and value. The food is not the highest quality, but there is a huge selection so you’re sure to find something you like. The rotisserie chicken lunch is actually quite good. It’s only about $ 6-$ 7 and you can get a ¼ or ½ chicken and two sides. They also offer some Mexican food, fried chicken sandwich, and other specialties that I wouldn’t really trust. Bottom line: If you come here either get the salad bar or rotisserie chicken meal.

Ever been in the mood to have Japanese with Fried Chicken, or Chinese with a ceasar salad, or Vietnamese with gumbo? This place! They serve different types of cuisine all under $ 10. Not too shabby… The«Lunch Bunch» and I came here for lunch because we heard it was good according to one of our co-workers. I was planning on getting the Chicken Meal, but after seeing the salad bar, I decided to try that instead. My co-workers both ordered the Chicken Meal and both said that the quantity and quality were decent for the price. For under $ 6, you can get ¼ chicken(dark or white meat) with 2 sides in which you can choose from the following: mashed potatoes, bread, salad, corn, rice, green beans or mixed veggies. The salad bar is $ 5.95 per pound which is cheaper than other places I’ve gone to and has just as much varieties(cold and hot items) to choose from. I got California Rolls, Potsticker, Egg Roll, Fried Rice and Orange Chicken. The egg roll were crispy and a lot better than Vo’s, the potsticker was huge so one of it is plenty, the fried rice wasn’t greasy and the orange chicken was more chicken than orange. Overall, I was pretty happy with what I chose, but I just wished my food were warm(it wasn’t hot as I hoped; it was barely warm); hence, why I’m giving them a 3-star rating. Unless you over-pile your food, the amount is comparable to the price. Can’t beat lunch that’s under $ 6. Plus, you don’t get the bloated, sleepy, food-coma afterwards. I also saw that they also have a breakfast bar so I would be sure to try it out when I get a chance.
