I’ve had the tamales from this guy a few times. He’s at Van Kleef on Friday evenings, sporting a hat and a Hawaiian shirt. This past weekend he had pork, chicken, cheese/jalapeño, and black bean/cactus tamales. They are 2 for $ 7. He keeps them in a cooler, and serves them on newspaper(and the corn husks, of course) when you order them. He also provides two sauces in water bottles, a red and a green. The tamales are tasty, but a little pricey I think. They’re good to fill your tummy when you drink hecka greyhounds! I told him that he should get a Twitter account to let people know where he will be selling his tamales(just like the Crème Brulee cart and others in SF).
