I developed floater and blurry vision on a Saturday and knew I had something wrong with my retina. I saw an optometrist who diagnosed a retinal tear and gave me Dr. Lee’s number. He returned a call within a couple of hours and we made an appointment for sunday AM in his office. I was dilated, he agreed with the diagnosis, and said I would need laser treatment right away. He later told me there were something like 500 laser flashes. He said I might feel some strong ‘aching’ pain. Most of the flashes were painless, but there were a half dozen moments when the pain was 8−9÷10 for a few seconds. As this was unscheduled and emergent, I don’t know if there was an alternative. Scott Lee also took care of a friend’s retinal detachment, more complicated than mine, and fixed it. I wouldn’t hesitate to go back to him. If you have floaters, see an eye doctor right away.
