Richard Fehr General Contractor

It has come to this, getting the Unilocal disclaimer out of the way to prove that I am a real person, nothing shady occurred to prompt this review, etc. There were no discounts asked for or given to prompt this review.
I did not know Rick before hiring him. I am not his brother-​in-​law and my kids don’t go to school with his kids. I don’t have kids. We are not in a fantasy football league together. We are not golf buddies. I am not in his book club, synagogue or Scientology chapter. I don’t know the guy okay!!!
I found him off Craigslist to fix the door on our 1920s house. He was prompt, affordable, pleasant and did excellent work. He even referred us to a very good painter for the door. The paint job cost more than his labor.
The door was warped and not fitting into the lock. And it wasn’t just a simple matter of shaving it down, which I could not have done anyway. He could have been sleazy contractor guy and told us we needed a whole new door, etc., or taken us for more money.
He is a licensed general contractor and knows doors inside and out (hah-​hah). It’ tempting for me to be a handyman hoarder but I feel like I have to share about this good tradesman.
