Pizza Man

Ok I tried the pacifica pizza it’s actually really good and since I’ve been so hard on them it’s only right I share the good news. AAANNNND my order was delivered to me in about 45 mins. Im right around the corner but man that’s a great perk.

Now Cybelles. I got delivery. The red sauce is really bitter and not to my taste, so I probably wont order here again– unless I want to try sauceless. But they deliver late and the crust was ok.

For starters, I’d like to add that I may be a bit biased just because I love pizza. Pizza is kinda like that thing your parents called «wrestling» when you walked in to their room late at night. There’s really no such thing as «bad» pizza, just like how there’s no such thing as, uhh… hmm… «bad» wrestling…
Anyway, let’s get this thing goin’.
THE PIZZA! The most important part. Usually, it varies from night to night. More often than not, it’s a wee bit greasy, and the crusty is usually always incredibly doughy, which some people prefer. I’ve been fortunate enough to consume east coast pizza from NYC all my life, but as far as California pizza goes (especially in Oakland), it’s pretty tasty. Especially at 2 in the morning when you’re pulling a 10 hour overnight shift at a dog daycare.
BUT! Just like how the pizza varies in quality from night to night, so does the delivery time. Some nights, it’s showed up within 40 minutes (from roughly 2 miles away). But other nights, I sometimes start to feel like Tom Hanks in Castaway…
That being said, you get what you pay for. Inexpensive and not so impressive pizza, but for the right price. In the end, they always follow through with what you want; even if you’ve already grown a beard and seen the birth of 3 of your grand kids between the time you ordered the and time the food showed up.
Overall, Pizza Man (or Cybelle’s, as it is also listed), is a safe bet to help you get your late night pizza fix.

Thieves! Would give 0 stars if I could. Ordered a pizza, they charged me $ 70 and never delivered after I waited for an hour and a half. I called to see what happened and they said I wouldnt be getting the pizza, they cancelled the order without asking me, and that if I wanted pizza, I could come back the next morning. So in the end, I’m out $ 70, waited for and hour and a half and got no pizza. Robbery plain and simple. NEVER ORDER FROM HERE, THIS PLACE NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN.

This place sucks dick. Ordered pizza and delivery showed up 1 hour later. Aight that’s fine but then the dude left because he needed my credit card after I already paid online. Then he says he will do another delivery down the block and come back and takes down my phone number. I get the card and wait in the rain for 45 minutes and call this sack of garbage 3 times and he doesn’t pick up. I call the dogshit establishment and they say the guy is done and the delivery is cancelled without letting me know. Fuck this place. Shut it down asap.

This place is awful!
Ordered a Greek Goddess pizza no flavor not enough pesto sauce.
A small salad with 1000 island dressing the dressing was bad as in spoiled!

Omg i had a late night prego craving and needed pasta… Called Pizza man and ordered shrimp ravioli. it was great and nice and hot when it got here. wait time for delivery was kinda long but way worth it. my food was really amazing. So thank you to who was all working Halloween late night. you guys are amazing…

Terrible customer service. Did not deliver my pizza for 2 hours and when I called to ask where it was multiple times I was told «it was coming». Finally I called frustrated saying that the pizza had still not arrived, the person that answered scoffed and said «well we got a lot of orders». Hope you either clean up your staff or improve on your business process.

While participating in the Oaktown Throwdown we got hungry around Midnight. We called over and they would not deliver so we decided to just walk over and pick up.
For a large pepperoni and a 2 liter of soda it was about $ 25. The pizza was decent (not the best pizza I’ve ever had) but certainly delicious at midnight with no other food options around.

I paid for a 10 piece buffalo wing and they gave me 6 pieces. I was too hungry to go back. I even gave the dude a good tip. Bummer.

I recognize that I am one of the lucky ones because my pizza actually came. But I still have had some of the same issues as other reviewers. First and foremost, the guy who took my order on the phone was a malcontent dickwad. Second, the pizza should never be stored in the trunk of your vehicle just rolling around willy nilly. Third, you are delivering to me, I am not delivering to you. Don’t look confused when I don’t go much further than just slightly outside my front door, get out of the car and physically bring me the fucking pizza. Fourth, their prices on the website are inaccurate and if I had known I was going to get ripped off, I would have ordered a larger size or more than likely, not ordered at all.

The worst place ever. Ordered food online and it took over almost two hours. I ordered their wings and asked for them to be extra crispy.: they were soggy and gross. I asked for bleu cheese and they gave me ranch. I ordered the tiramisu for dessert and it came frozen. It literally had ice chips on it. SAVE YOUR MONEY… DONT ORDER HERE!!! You have to be plastered to even want to eat the slop they serve. NEVER AGAIN!!! Oh yea, the delivery guy gives you his a** to kiss after doing his job in making you wait almost two hours. Fuckers.

Ummmm so I spent $ 46 @ 1am and they gave us the $ 6 salad and we paid for the $ 10 one (sad face)_usually they are the bomb! But I guess that’s just for the slices! Not discrediting their business but I’m just saying I actually didn’t get my moneys worth…

Its just really really bad…
I think it sucks when you can’t cook a good pizza.
Hopefully they improve.

The BIGGEST piece of shit of a business I have ever encountered. My firm has an Oakland office which requires me to fly up to Oakland twice per year. In the last 18 months, I have given these guys a shot each time. The employees are liars, incompetent assholes, and just plain dumbfucks. Each time, my experience is similar –I have placed an order with them, waited for an hour, called back and asked what the hell is going on with my order. I have received answers from «Uh… like… we didn’t receive that order??? Or something?» to «Oh, we tried to call you back to tell you that we can’t fulfill your order tonight cuz like… we’re too busy and stuff» (which was a lie – they never tried to call me to tell me ANYTHING).
This place is simply the biggest waste of time on the planet. It is run and staffed by the most incredible imbeciles in America. Fuck them.

I absolutely love Pizza Man’s food. Its really delicious and their long hours are great for late night snacks.
After having them mess up my order AT LEAST 6 times, I unfortunately will no longer be ordering from them anymore. Not only do they forget a topping on half my pizza (when it is clearly written in the receipt) but they also have forgotten to put in marinara sauce in with my twister sticks. Normally, this wouldn’t be a huge deal but considering I have brought up the mistakes EVERY TIME since they first screwed up my order, and it still consistently happens, I feel it is important enough to Unilocal.
I would think that any reputable place would also offer some kind of compensation, but Pizza Man can’t even manage that. Nor have I ever received any kind of apology from anyone except this last delivery guy who seemed to be fairly new to the job. Upgrade your attention to detail and customer service and I might think about coming back.

I’ve ordered from this joint a few times. Mixed experiences. I’ve come to realize that ordering from them during the day is more pleasing. I had a large pepperoni and sausage pizza with buffalo wings. Everything was hot and fresh. Also, for the first time ever, it only took about 40 mins! Yum!

I just… no.
The food is subpar but in a prime location. The few times I’ve gone in was out of desperation because the rest of the shops were closed. There pizza is not good. I’ve only gotten the slices to go and the bread would be soggy from sitting in it’s own juices for however long.
I’m all set.

I never have been so dissapointed from a place that I had to review the moment it happened.
I called and placed my order 2 and half hours ago. And my pizza was «still with driver».
They rudely place you on hold and leave you waiting for a long time. Also they hang up the phone on you after waiting. WORST customer service I have ever experienced. I had to call back 6 – 8 times just to cancel my order.
I finally got through to a lady (possibly the manager) which apologies.
But the front desk guys where rude as can be.
I would never recommend this place to anyone. Id rather order Dominos… now I get to go to sleep hungry.
