nice little park well maintained is easy to overlook at the corner of Hanover and LakeShore.
there are several benches, a nice paved path and PUBLIC TOILETS that are clean and well maintained up

Kind of overlooked as its right on busy Lakeshore Ave. Its great in the morning as it has great views of Lake Merritt and the boathouse which is directly across the lake. The grass is patchy with ground cover fill ins which probably explains why it isn’t heavily used.

This little park is easy to overlook at the corner of Hanover and LakeShore. From the street it looks like nothing more than a lone park bench on a patch of grass. But it you walk up the hill and venture into the park, there are several benches, a nice paved path and PUBLIC TOILETS that are clean and well maintained up there. Who knew? From the benches there is a wonderful view of Lake Merritt and downtown Oakland, and peace and quiet.
The is no signage marking the name of this park, and the only recent updates are the f’ugly «no dogs in park» signs. That being said, it’s a great place to walk your dog.
