Pie Hole @ Eat real 2014 is selling just one pie item: «peach buckle», a throwback to the early days of southern baking. just the word. i heard. i have no idea what this was/is.
eats: «peach buckle» (6)
–single serving like a tart, spongy crust on bottom, no crust on sides–
–body of «buckle» a combination of peach cobbler and bread pudding with some cinnamon dusting. decorated with toasted thin almomds
3 stars. had aftertaste not a clean finish.
crumbs:
–deliz but awkward aftertaste.
