Oakland Landscape Supply

These guys are good. I live in Alameda and was in need of about ¼−½ cord of firewood. I called a bunch of those firewood delivery people who post on Craigslist but either… 1. They only deliver Monday through Friday (and I need weekend delivery.) Or 2. It wasn’t worth their while to only deliver that amount to Alameda. Or 3. They weren’t coming to Alameda anytime soon.
We drove to the location on Coliseum Way in hopes of picking up ¼ cord in the car. We left super happy that the guys there would deliver ½ cord & a bag of kindling in their truck within an hour of purchasing!!!
The guys who work at Oakland Firewood & Landscape are super friendly and helpful. Even though we only needed firewood, they sell a lot of different types of landscaping materials. I hope Alameda residents check them out!!!

I needed firewood for the holidays and could not have found a better place! Everyone at Oakland Landscape Suppy is friendly and extremely helpful. I haven’t found too many places like this and would highly recommend this business to anyone looking for firewood or landscaping materials.

I had the owner, Brad Jones, come out and do a quote to repair my retaining walls on my hilly property near Montclair. This was based on a very solid recommendation from a neighbor who had recently completed a similar project.
The project consisted of removing and replacing about 100 linear feet of retaining walls, and required removal of several bushes and shrubs which we wanted to keep.
Throughout the project his crew were on time, and worked from 7am to after 3pm each day. He had a foreman on the job the entire two weeks and Chuck met with us daily to explain what was going to happen. They cleaned up after themselves daily and kept their supply pile neat and tidy.
The job increased in scope when we agreed we should widen the steps leading up from our patio to the upper level of the back yard. They also re-​set the pavers up the steps so they were all the same rise height. Additionally, they removed and replaced the underground drainage piping which was no longer serviceable.
We will use them again for other work such as a deck renovation. Very professional and they required no money down and payment wasn’t expected until the job was complete.

I had a great experience working with Oakland Firewood and Landscape. I called several times to get quotes and compare prices. Nick helped me, he was great. Every time they gave great info and were very patient. I ordered a delivery of brick, DG, and firewood. Delivery came on time, and Joshua was great about helping us unload all the brick, firewood and DG. He tried really hard to get up our super narrow driveway, and even though he couldn’t make it in the end, he put in a lot of effort. Thank you! The prices are fair and the people that work there are very knowledgeable, helpful, and great to work with.

Shopped around quite a bit for artificial grass supplies as we initially planned to landscape our small backyard on our own. Didn’t have much luck until I came here. Oakland Landscape Supply has all the goods at fair prices (turfs/​samples, infill, drain rock.) Anthony and his colleague were very informative and incredibly polite, I was excited to finally get a «good vibe» from a local supplier. After getting a price quote based on our square footage I discovered that they would deliver all the supplies to our home for free – can’t beat that. Long story boring, Anthony also recommended Brad Jones (owner of this supply ‘store’ as well as Oakland Landscaping Inc.) as an alternative to doing the job ourselves. I called him, we set up a time and Brad and his 4-​man crew came early to lay down TSB90 turf (one of the best) in our roughly 120 square foot dirt area. Both companies were honest, polite and did a fantastic job. FIY, to lay down TSB90 artificial grass (from Oakland Landscape Supply) it would have cost us about $ 450 to buy the supplies and do it ourselves. We paid OL $ 700 to have it done quickly and done right. Can’t recommend them enough.

My wife and I were looking for the low cost brick laying way of building a retaining wall by ourselves (we still laugh about it). Yes; Santa and Mrs. Claus, were going to build our own retaining wall, until we found out about pallets of bricks needed, the glue, and the ‘fine’ concrete, and dirt needed to complete everything. Thankfully, two young men, Nick and Josh, from «Oakland Firewood and Landscape Supply», referred us to one, Mr. Bradley Jones and his brick and landscaping company, «Oakland Landscape Supply».
Brad is a man who knows the in and out of bricklaying, his team of bricklayers are top-​notch in everything done on our home project. They gave us ideas to ponder, and when we gave the go-​ahead on completing the project, they did an absolutely glorious job! Three days they needed to complete everything we had agreed upon, and when they left the job, we were stunned by the professional work completed, and these gentlemen left our property cleaner than when they came in to start. Brad is not cheap by any stretch of the imagination. But if you want a good job done and you can afford ‘reasonable’ prices, you will not go wrong on choosing this company to work with.

Came here for the first time and was delightfully surprised by how nice and easy it was to pick up a few bags of soil/​fertilizer/​etc. Anthony assisted us and he was very friendly and helpful.

Nick and Josh were very friendly, efficient and good looking to boot! The prices on soil and such were competitive with Home Depot. Great place. Conveniently close to Alameda.

These guys were great. I had a mission of picking up firewood, and returned with a trunk full of firewood and three lovely Christmas wreaths. (This was actually next on my list, and they saved me a trip — gotta love that.)
Great friendly service.

Good place to get rocks, gravel, blue fine etc. Very good prices and they deliver, but due to the easy off street location I can just bring a truck and grab few bags of what ever I need. You don’t have to buy by the bulk they supply bags.
The young employee Nick was very helpful and knew a lot just good customer experience. Smart business model.
I now rather go here than Home Depot.
