I’ve got to give it to them, for the amount of limited shelf space they have compared to the obvious big box elite Super Stores, they’ve always had what I came in there for and always at a reasonable price. It’s nice to see the same familiar faces in there over the years and each has always been helpful.

The store has just about anything and everything that you might need. They are most helpful when you need parts or even instructions on things. Love to shop locally and support my hometown businesses. rather than going to the big box stores. They are close, convenient and have just about everything that I might need most of the time.

These guys are lifesavers. When True Value in Franklin Lakes, and Hardware Station in Wyckoff closed, they were going strong. The only «attitude» I encountered was one of helpfulness. These guys helped me find all the stuff I need for every project and offer suggestions to boot. You will not find this in Home Despot of Lowes. And the prices are commensurate with the big box shops. Try em’ and you WILL be back. Again and again. Count me as a loyal customer.

Oakland hardware store is the best local hardware store in the whole area. I have been going to Oakland Hardware for over 13 years and most of the time I find what I need without asking for help. However, if I can’t find what I need, the guys that work there are very knowledgeable, friendly and always willing to help out. Even the owner makes himself available, he may not be as enthusiastic as the other guys, but he will point you in the right direction.
I wanted to say a special «thanks» to George, because he really helped us out !! My wife had a piece of plexiglass that needed a specific cut and it was very important not to crack it or break it. We brought it into Oakland hardware and spoke to George. He understood the complexity of the problem, gave it some thought, and brought it in the back of the store. Ten minutes later he emerged and had done a perfect cut on the plexiglass. He only charged us a few bucks. We were very pleased and very thankful to George. I have always been a loyal customer at Oakland Hardware and now my wife has joined the ranks.

I went in to Oakland hardware yesterday with a desk lamp that needed a new bulb (Staples wasn’t able to help me). They not only had the bulb, the gentleman took the lamp apart & replaced the bulb for me (it took over 10 minutes because part of the lamp was broken). I have to say this guy & Oakland Hardware went way Over & Beyond the call of duty & I really appreciate it.

Boy, there is not a better store around than the local Oakland Hardware. It should really change its name to Oakland Housewares because this place has everything you could ever ask for. A fine selection of not only the screws and tools needed, but also anything i’ll need in their auto section or the wide variety of high quality grill equipment there. There’s so much in the store that i’m practically lost in a maze every time. Thankfully the guys behind the counter are really good, and know their stuff, and there’s always someone in the isles helping to direct me to what I need.
The Big Green Egg demonstration they had in October was a hit, and it was a great way to show off just how much your grill matters. A friend of mine bought a Weber there and told me its free assembly and delivery. I’ll need to take advantage that of next summer!
Oakland Hardware is great, and a fantastic store all around. Its not about helping the little guy here, its the fact that we have a amazing local store that many other communities dont have.

My husband and I love this store. They always have what we need and the people that work there are always friendly and helpful. We just bought a new Weber grill and they put it together and delivered it the same day for no extra charge. What great service!

I have been going to this Hardware store for years. THE ONLY REASON I GO IS BECAUSE IT IS CONVENIENT! The staff is so rude, they never offer to help the customers. When you walk in, they do not even acknowledge you, they look the other way. Recently I have gone to another hardware store even though it is out of the way for me. They do not deserve my business.

I have been going to Oakland Hardware for YEARS and love Jimmy, George, and Joe. They are always helpful, and they have even delivered stuff to my house at no additional charge! Just yesterday, they gave me recommendations for local guys to come and give me estimates for my gutters.

Great service, this local hardware store has everything!

I was there three times, got help from store personnel, and three times came home with the WRONG thing!
