Nunez Dominic

Dominic is a gem and I am so glad I found him. He has been cutting and coloring my hair since 1998 and never fails to please. People always complement me on the color and really, he is the best!
To stick with anyone for so many years is a rare thing for me. Knowing Dominic has been a great pleasure and it’s a relief to know I have someone to count on. He has a big, big heart, has very fair pricing and has always gone above and beyond to adjust to my schedule. Do not hesitate to try his services.

OMG! just got my hair done again by Dominic! Amazing! again! he is a true colorist professional! I love bleached blonde hair but he suggested a warm tone so i said let’s do this thing! it made my brown eyes pop! as soon as i walked out i was asked on a date! i don’t know if it was the hair or what! life is good! life is good! Dominic is amazing!!! I moved to the East Bay from San Francisco and have been commuting into the city to get highlights done. It’s always tough when you finally find someone that does it the way you like to ever leave just in case one of the nightmares happens again.
I met Dominic at a BBQ and his personality was the first thing to win me over. He is just a great person to know and be around. So, I asked him if he enjoyed doing highlights. To that, he responded that he does highlights better than anyone– with a big smile and eyes that told me he wasn’t lying.
I learned today that he was not lying. I am so happy with my hair. The cut was done well also. And it was so nice just to go into his studio and talk to just him right on Piedmont instead of an overpriced, overcrowded salon in Union Square where I had one person to color, one to wash, and another to cut.
He has a huge book of clients, so don’t expect to get in the same day. It’s worth it though!

Dominic is the master of all things hair. The first time he did my hair he rescued me from a really bad highlight job done elsewhere. I thought it was hopeless but let me tell you, by the time I walked out of his place, i felt like a movie star. I have been going to him ever since and have never been disappointed. He is a great guy and a complete professional. I’d give him 10 stars if it was possible.

Dominic’s Hair Studio is the best. After a horrible experience at a beauty school, I sought the recommendation of a good friend (with fabulous hair, of course). She has been seeing Dominic for almost 20 years so I knew I was going to be in very good hands. Two years later, I have never received so many compliments on my hair. Not only did he fix the color and give me a cut that is in style, but classic, but my hair has never been healthier. Not one to push the purchase of products on you, I will often ask for recommendations and suggestions. His approach is to do what is best for your health and what will look great on YOU (face shape, skin tone, etc.) so it is a very personalized experience. Dominic also accommodates my schedule, which can be tricky and I do appreciate his flexibility. I must add, he is also one of the kindest, funniest, sweet persons I have known and there isn’t once that I dread going to see him. In fact, I tend to get excited every time I book an appointment. I couldn’t be more happy for him getting his own studio on Piedmont Ave and know he will continue to operate a successful hair business. He is … «simply the best.»
