The. Best. Breakfast. Sandwich. Ever. Get it on the cheddar biscuit with bacon and it’s spectacularly good. Fresh Biscuit+Cheese+Egg+Bacon=Nirvana. If given a chance – I’d eat this one 24 hours a day!

Pork belly is becoming a hot trend! So if you want to be trendy or if you’re simply a pig-lover like me, don’t miss this!!! Both the pork belly sandwich and the steak and eggs sandwich are amazing. Yesterday we found out on Twitter that it was their last day in Emeryville, we ran there and saw a HUGE line. We decided to give up but it was great to know that all those people love the truck just as much as we do. Oh dear, I will surely miss my perfect Wednesday ritual — pork belly hash with an egg!!!

Today was the last day of business in Emeryville. We were sadden to hear that our beloved truck will no longer be in business. We all came out to support one last time. They offered us a free meal, and we tipped into either the A’s cup. The wait took 45 minutes but well worth it. Nick’s is one unique truck and always popular with the locals. I don’t know of any breakfast trucks. Thanks for your delicious sandwiches and your weekly visit to Emeryville to provide us with variety and tastiness. We’ve really enjoyed the amazing maple-glazed pork belly sandwich. You will be missed!

This review is for the pork belly hash alone. AMAZING! I tried it last saturday at Off the Grid in Alameda. I was a little stuffed from all the pork belly baos from The Chairman, but still had a little room, so I wussed out of getting the pork belly sandwich combo. I opted for the next best thing, pork belly hash alone. The tender pork belly, mixed with the nicely cooked and seasoned potatoes, onions, and smothered which I think is some sort of aoili was just perfect. My little cardboard bowl was licked clean! I can’t wait to try the combo that comes with the sandwich. At $ 3, what a bargain!

What is better than breakfast? A breakfast sandwich.. . What is better than a breakfast sandwich? Two breakfast sandwiches. . Seriously for $ 6 you can have one of the best breakfast sandwiches you will ever have. Get the classic and ask them to make it spicy with their Puerto Rican sauce.

Ok, last time. I found them at Bites off Broadway, and I got what I wanted. It turns out I love breakfast and this truck. All the pork is absolutely delicious. I will have to watch their twitter to see where they are all the time. The thing that makes me mad about Nick’s, though, is that it is so good that I inhale it, then I want more and more and more.

3.5, almost 4 stars. I found this food truck at the Kite Festival at Berkeley. It was the only one in site, among a bunch of food stalls providing common festival eateries, such as hot dogs and pretzels. The truck was bright yellow and there was no line in front of the truck(probably due to my late 3pm arrival at the festival). I asked the man inside what was their most popular item and he said it was the«Maple Glazed Pork Belly Sandwich,» so that was what I ended up getting. At $ 8, it wasn’t that great of a deal and they didn’t serve anything to drink. However, the sandwich itself was worth it. I think the thing that really stands out is the arugula they used. It provides a slightly bitter backdrop that really highlights the rest of the other flavors, which includes tangy from the pickled red onions, sweet from the maple glazed pork belly, savory from the fried egg, and a spicy kick from the mustard aioli. The different textures were amazing as well; the soft bread, crispy yet soft pork bellies, crunchy onions all contributed to a very well-constructed and great tasting sandwich. Will go for the breakfast sandwich if I happy to be nearby, but it’s not something I’d go out of my way for. Go try it!

I realize now that I’ve merely been settling for the mediocrity that is MoGo and Adobo Hobo. The«wheel» deal is Nick’s Wheely Good Breakfast. Seriously. Maple Glazed Pork Belly Sandwiches are freakin’ awesome. Well seasoned, moist, tender and with amazing texture and bite from the pickled onions – it’s just the best porky concoction ever. Trust me. I’m Filipina and I know my pork. We got a chance to sample their tasty fare at today’s Berkeley Kite Festival and they were so good, I sent my husband back to their truck when I realized that half a pork belly sandwich was not enough to satiate me. So off he went. Then while waiting for my kid’s turn on the pony rides, I suddenly wanted a side of pork belly hash with the sandwich and asked my very patient hubster to go back in line at Nick’s. For the third time. So glad I married him because he procured those babies and they were insanely good and very reasonably priced at $ 3. I am now following Nick’s on FB and stalking that pork belly.

nick’s is currently my favorite bay area food truck. and I blame my insane crazy love for their egg sandwiches on the fact that I must have had at least twenty of these bad boys by now and I somehow have never tired of their amazingness. my jam– a classic egg sandwich done veggie style with avocado & arugula. SOMOTHERFREAKINGGOOD. and at $ 6 a sandwich(drinks are only a buck!), it also happens to be one of the best lunch deals in the e-ville area. the other thing I love about nicks is the dudes. the dudes that work the truck are super duper friendly, helpful, and sincerely appreciative of your patronage. and I think that’s awesome. breakfast for lunch rules!

Alright, the menu touting«spicy Puerto Rican piqué sauce» piqued my interest. Even though I had already indulged heavily into food truck vittles, the Boriqua in me could NOT bare the thought of just waddling by, burping chairman bao. By the time I decided to order, they were all out of the Steak and Egg sand that I only wanted for this damn Puerto Rican sauce. So, I pouted and ordered the regular ol’ breakfast sandwich. OH my, this sandwich was not regular. And, they gave me a side of the sauce I was desperately wanting to try. Now, my friend was able to get her hands on that steak and egg sandwich and some other plate I can’t recall. Lemme just say, that I’m not a very good friend! After jacking bites of what she ordered, I was SO happy that my lowly-sounding breakfast sandwich was clearly the winner in our little glutton-fest. I think I gave her a bite. If I did, she owes me big time. I don’t even think I gave the oldman more than a bite, either. Damn, I kinda suck. But, you’d would suck too if you had ordered this little gem. I’m so glad I took a picture. I’m going to go lick it now.

I don’t know if my pal, Victor G, and I have the same taste bud. I am also giving this food truck vendor a three star. Nick’s Wheely Good Breakfast(catchy moniker for this vendor) was at OTG: Alameda from11:00AM to 3:00PM, along with other gourmet food trucks. Daughter was with me, so I went ahead, as a mom is supposed to do, paid for her maple glazed pork belly sandwich sans fried egg over easy and a bottle water. I ordered two cheddar biscuit sandwiches and a bottle water. Total: $ 17. Wait time for our order: 45 minutes. Guys working the truck were friendly, but service was slow. Well, what do women do when they have to wait… window shopping in the mall area… Old Navy, Beverly’s and Bed, Bath & Beyond… just to knock off some of the wait time. Daughter said her sandwich was aight(short for all right), but it needed more arugula and the pork belly was sliced too thin… nothing to write home about. I have to say the same for the cheddar biscuit sandwich… A-OK. The cheddar biscuit sandwich consisting of melted cheddar cheese, applewood smoked bacon and a sprinkling of arugula was overwhelmingly salty to the point that I could barely taste the cheesy flavor of the biscuit. Sure the arugula gave the sandwich an aromatic flavor, but the bacon was cooked too long — hard and dry — and that bottle water did not quench my thirst. So there was the pit stop at Jamba Juice for a large strawberry surf rider and See’s Candies for butterscotch and café latte lollipops. I brought the other cheddar biscuit sandwich home. My husband said it was A-OK and bland… not seasoned enough. I believe hubby has lost the sense of taste when it comes to food. I don’t eat a lot of salt in my diet, but he sure does… and he needs to stop. As my mom(90 years old) would say, and she will stomp her feet at him, wagging her finger, sternly lecturing him in broken English, «salt not good». Since I wasn’t totally impressed and I believe a 3 star rating is a fair one for this vendor, chances are it’s a might/might not return.

I recently had a Cheddar Biscuit sandwich from Nicks. Very delicious. Cheddar biscuit was flaky and cheesy and had applewood smoked bacon, melted cheddar(more cheese!), aioli, and arugula. I was dubious about the arugula, but it really helped make the biscuit even more delicious with just that bit of greenery. I added a fried egg on top for more deliciousness. Needless to say, I entered a serious food coma that afternoon and was completely useless at the office, but had a very happy tummy. Thanks Nick!

First time — pork belly sandwich — 5 stars. It was an explosion in my month. Left me craving more the next day. 2nd time — ordered the pork belly sandwich again, but noticed it was the wrong order when returned to work. It was the Sausage sandwich — too oily & salty — 2 stars. 3rd time — told them about the wrong order from last time. But no compensation of any sort. So fine — got the egg biscuit. Good flavor, but overwhelmed by grease old/non purified oil taste — smelled like a burnt diner — 3 stars. I smelled like a burnt diner just by waiting in line to order. Maybe I won’t go during business attire days.

Amazing, cannot say enough good things about these guys! Hired them for a company event at my workplace. Courteous, prompt, AMAZINGFOOD and good prices. Great communication throughout. Very professional. And there was not an unhappy face in the crowd. The maple glazed pork belly sandwich and the steel-cut oats got a lot of positive remarks, and so did the Classic Breakfast sandwich. I didn’t talk to anyone who got the Broccoli Raab, but it looked fantastic. Five stars, highly recommended. A food truck you should definitely visit. Don’t let these guys slip by!

I had the Maple Glazed Pork Belly Sandwich($ 7) during lunch today. It sounded so promising… pork belly, picked onions, arugula, fried egg and focaccia. Unfortunately, it was a little disappointing. $ 7 for a food truck sandwich isn’t bad, but the flavors just didn’t come together. For being a pork belly sandwich, it wasn’t very porky. There wasn’t a ton of pork on the sandwich and it seemed to be overpowered by the fried egg. The veggies and bread were good, though. Also, they serve the sandwiches in a french fry tray thing, which for food truck cuisine isn’t the most convenient. Maybe if the sandwich was wrapped up it might be easier to eat on the go. I’ll be back to try some of the other menu items, but I still have other go-to food trucks.

4.5 The pork belly breakfast sandwich I had was really tasty. Comforting, but still some of the gourmet ingredients(pork belly, pickled onions, etc) I’ve come to expect from food trucks nowadays. Satisfying! The smores cookie for $ 1 was alright. Nothing to write home about. The prices seemed moderate which was great(it’s not cheap to eat off the trucks!), I think there was even a cheddar biscuit sandwich for like $ 4. Seems like a steal! Might be my next choice to try next time!

Nick’s Wheely Good Breakfast has various breakfast options on a biscuit, an oversized muffin if you will. for the high quality ingredients one receives, it’s a stretch to say the biscuit sammie was overpriced. locale: 45th& doyle, emeryville(8⁄18) sampling: classic breakfast sandwich –contains argula, spicy aioli, fried egg, cheddar cheese, and a very thin slice of ham. on a large toasted biscuit. –only could taste the argula and biscuit. egg barely tasted. had to check to see if there was any ham. yep, a paper thin slice. footnotes: –coffee machine not working –wanted to try ‘smore cookie also, but guy left the window. –no lines

Happened upon Nick’s today at 64th and Hollis in Berkeley. They were incredibly prepared for their first day! What phenomenal breakfast sandwiches! Make sure to grab a cheddar biscuit sandwich; the grilled bacon inside is cooked absolutely perfectly. If you want a real treat, make sure to grab one of Nick’s s’more cookies. They are OUTRAGEOUSLY good. Also, coffee is made in french press pots, and is absolutely delicious. I can’t wait to go back!

I randomly saw a mention of Nick’s on facebook, and figured that if it is a breakfast truck, I needed to check it out. I had the broccoli rabe sandwich, which was delicious, though the highlight has to be the cheddar biscuit sandwich, amazing biscuit, amazing bacon, and a great aioli sauce inside… yummmmmm coffee and cookies were quite nice as well, check out his website for updates on where you can find the truck next
