What a cute little florist! Small simple space tucked swaying in a large Corp building. Evelyn, the owner was such a sweet woman that quickly pulled together a beautiful arrangement of flowers right off the cuff. The price was very reasonable. So much so I actually asked that she charge me more for the bouquet! It looks as though she my do more events which from the unplanned arrangement I bought I can only imagine that she does a great job on those as well. If you are in the neighborhood stop by and pick up some flowers from Evelyn to brighten someone’s day.

It has been quite a while since I have been to this florist. The first time was almost 11 years ago and the other time was about four years ago. Surprisingly, the owner still remembers me from way back then. Last Friday, I stopped in briefly to talk to Evelyn and I noticed a purple vase sitting on top of one of the shelving units. The cost was $ 6.00. I was on the short end of cash, so I told her I would return to purchase it. I don’t have a purple vase, and this is going to be a little impulse buying. I am not going to feel bad about this purchase and I guess it’s what young people call retail therapy… lol. Well, I got there in the nick of time to purchase the vase. I thought Evelyn was closing shop at 5:00PM, but I was told by her that she had to stay later than 5:00PM to finish up floral arrangements for a wedding tomorrow. The arrangements were beautiful — a wedding bouquet, bridesmaid bouquet and a maid of honor bouquet. I could tell she had a project on her hands and she still had to do a centerpiece with some branches. I couldn’t stay long to conversate, and then I did not want to impede her progress on her floral arrangements. I know there will be other times to visit and buy flowers.

For so many years I’ve seen Evelyn’s work at different weddings that I’ve attended. Once my day came around I totally forgot about her until my mom reminded me. I first met with one florist who wanted to charge me almost $ 800 for all my flowers and I didn’t feel like I was getting $ 800 worth when she was describing what the arrangements would look like. Then I had a consultation with Evelyn. Her vision for the flowers was amazing. She told me what she was thinking of doing based on the pictures I gave her and it ended up being a lot cheaper than the other florist and I felt like I was going to get my money’s worth. the day of the wedding I didn’t see any of the flowers except my bouquet and my bridesmaids bouquets. I wasn’t worried because I knew the flowers would be beautiful. Once I walked into the sanctuary I was amazed. She created a floral arrangement exactly how I envisioned it. She’s creative and delivers what you want. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a wedding florist.

I had ten bridesmaids, eight groomsmen, four flowergirls, three ringbears, three grandmas, one grandpa, two moms and one dad. Whew. Leamington made sure they all had their wedding flowers. Leamington Florist did a wonderful job. I had about 23 tables at the venue that needed centerpieces and needed a church flower arrangement. I kept with a simple theme of crème roses and calla lilies. Leamington Florist was on time delivering and setting up all flowers. The cake flowers were amazing too. I loved my bride bouquet. She added rhinestones in the flowers. She even created a toss bouquet for me that was placed on the cake table and it looked beautiful. The bridesmaids bouquets were simple, beautiful and classic. I recommend!

Wonderful little florist shop. Don’t expect fancy displays but Evelyn, the owner, will customize your order and make sure it gets there. All my recipients have been so pleased with the arrangements!

I have to agree. I am the spouse that JT was buying them for. I got them almost every 8 days or so and they were ALWAYS delivered with a smile and ALWAYS a wonderful arrangement. She would even go to the market specifically because she had something in mind for arrangements. If you work at Kaiser, her delivery is very inexpensive but you have to call her direct. I miss you Evelyn! Renee

I love supporting local businesses. Especially since a little birdie told me that 1−800-Flowers contracts thru local businesses and they tend to use their oldest and crappiest flowers since they only get a small cut of the deal. So support your local businesses! If I ever have any flowers I need to send for work purposes in the Oakland area, this is the first company I’m hitting up! Oh and their website makes ordering a breeze, check it out!

The flower selection is limited. I arrived at 9:30 am on a Monday, and they open at 9 am. They had a very limited selection of roses. The woman explained it was because they were so busy last week with two proms. This is a very small, shop. I asked about peonies and tulips and she said they don’t carry expensive flowers, that they have to be ordered in advance. This is a tiny shop — — she doesn’t even have a counter. She had to lay the flowers down on a makeshift table, re-purposing what was basically a stool. She put together a decent bouquet of lilies, freesia, and another white fragrant flower, for $ 20. Downside: very poor wrapping(e.g. no brown paper), No sense of presentation — — she left the stems all very long, sticking out the bottom of the paper, I had to ask her to trim them. She cut the paper by hand, with very jagged edges(um, if you’re a professional, how hard is it to cut paper with a smooth edge?); I had to ask her to tuck them. There was crap all over the unswept floor(dirt, stems, leaves), and there was a plate of crusted old food, clearly left over from last week. It’s the only place nearby that is open in the morning, so I had to go with it. It was adequate but the entire experience was unpleasant. On the plus side, she did let me look into her van to see what she had. At least she didn’t try to push carnations on me.

Evelyn is the owner of this small, cute flower shop in downtown Oakland. She has moved from across the street? She is only doing flowers and I do believe that this is definitely her forte’.(I read other reviews for restaurants) Due to my «Champagne taste and Beer budget» I had to really search hard to get a great florist for our Ceremony as well as Wedding. I went to four other florist before I hired Evelyn to be my florist for the July Wedding. I showed her a picture of how I wanted my Bridal Bouquet to look like as well as my center pieces and she did exactly like the picture. She was very efficient, professional and has a great personality. Very easy to work with and also, very reasonable. What ever is your budget, she will work you.

Funky, funky, funky. Needs to be seen to be believed. Talk about one stop shopping, this is a flower shop with a Vietnamese Restaurant in the back and an ice cream parlor(complete with counter) inside as well. The ice cream isn’t bad but the cone was a bit stale. Typical downtown Oakland, you have to check out these holes in the walls sometimes, weird and cool stuff often lurk within them.
