Tried the sweet and sour chicken and the minute I took a sniff, it already had a funny smell like it was spoiled. Took a bit and immediately sent me the restroom to vomit. Horrible!

Since I work nearby I’d heard that they offer fantastic lunch deals and great food to the general public. I stopped in about a year ago and was pleasantly surprised. Since then I’ve come by weekly. I know 5 stars is high for a school cafeteria, but this cafeteria stocked with great culinary dishes from the cooking school on campus. So many fresh options! There’s a Grill, a deli counter with a burrito bar and the culinary school specials which are always an amazing quality $ 5-​$ 6 meal. All the food has been far above cafeteria grade. (Much better than my office cafeteria) Laney cafeteria is located in the center quad just a few minutes walk from the Merritt BART station.
