I was excited to attend after reading the details of the event, but it didn’t meet my expectations at all. The event was from 11am-​4pm. Got there about 12ish.
PROS
1) parking free and not too difficult to find a spot
2) free admission
3) free live jazz music
4) some booths included ecofriendly games
5) weather was nice
CONS
1) no petting zoo, as listed in details
2) face painting was done by kids
3) no music blasting to get the energy going
4) not much to browse
5) not that I would be too interested, but no magic show tiil 1pm for some reason
6) acrobatics were performed by a couple kids in a very small space
Biggest gripe: there wasn’t much in terms of entertainment or interesting booths. Kids seemed to have fun, but I’ve seen more interactive festivals. Music alone would’ve brought some life to the event.
Meanwhile, I could see a LOOOOOOOOONNNG line for the ferry to SF thanks to the ongoing BART strike.
