Spacious and with an abundant amount of TVs. Great for watching games. The tables and chairs look outdated and dingy, but the food makes up for it. The food is fairly priced and great for sports bar food.

Great place to watch the game! I was with a group and we were upstairs. SOMANY TVs! Literally everywhere you look there’s a big screen! We ordered a pizza, fried wings, and garlic fries to snack on during the game. The garlic fries were standard but the wings were good! Definitely get them! Pizza was okay. If you’re looking for a place to watch some sports, Grand Oaks is it!

I guess this place is ok if you’re coming with a big group of people to watch the Warriors play but my experience wasn’t good enough to make me come back. The upstairs room in ok, they have about 1055 inch tv’s all over the room. But the setup they have here is a little different. Its a much older building so I guess i can understand. But the lady taking my order told me I couldn’t order a glass of Blue Moon or Stella because the tap was downstairs. She was telling me i could only order a pitcher. So basically she was just too lazy to go get my beer from downstairs. It turns out a regular here advised me the ask one of the gentleman that work here and sure enough he was more than willing to run down there and get my ass a glass of Blue Moon. But the service here is garbage. I wouldn’t recommend coming here but its ok for what it is…

So I ordered a a cheeseburger and wings, it took an hour to get my food because the waiter brought my food out and gave it to the wrong table. When my food finally came it was the wrong order… service absolutely sucks.

Came in for the Sharks game tonight. met a couple of friends — 3 of us altogether. Although they showed up later we split the bill. Let me say the food was not great, but I understood that coming in as I had been here a few times. My issue is with getting over charged. Being in the industry I tip very well: both of my friends are in the same business. Our combined bill was way more than expected, I looked it over and asked my friend to do the same. When he asked about some of the charges, we were over charged a «Gratuity fee». On the menu it stated a fee for parties of 5 or more, which I agree with. Yet we were only three When we questioned it, we were told«we do what we want» with the automatic tipping. $ 25+ dollars of «Auto gratuity» . I won’t be back. Can say the same for the 2 others that were with me and others we may have brought in, Moral of the story — don’t try and steal from your customers.

Local spot with a heavy focus on sports and drink. 3.5 stars Food: 3, Service: 4, Atmosphere: 4 Open table-able: no, Kids menu: no Cost to worth it rating: 3(beers $ 4, wings $ 8) Return worthiness: sure when a game is on Highlights: — TVs: plenty on every wall so no matter where you sit you can see the game — Homey neighborhood bar: made me feel like I was visiting my sister in Wisconsin watching the local team — Family friendly: other kids were there with their parents watching the Warriors game — Service: waitress comes around to the tables and never had to wait too long for a drink — Good seating: booths and tables Lowlights: — Not many appetizers apart from wings and fries. I could’ve went for some mozarella sticks, potato skins, or nachos. Food isn’t anything special but does fine for standard bar food Good no frills spot to grab a drink and watch the games

So A great sports bar for you local fan. Definitely a Warriors nation bar with good energy. The cheap pitcher of beers and reasonable price food makes it a fan favorite. Most appetizer $ 7 – 10, entrée $ 15 and pizza $ 10 – 16. Its bar food but about what you would get at Oracle area but way cheaper. The upstairs is large for big groups but feels really cafeteria like. The downstairs and back room is where its at. I like that they have 30 tv and no matter where you sit or which way you are facing you can get a good view. Its loud during games days, mostly the fans.

There is almost no way you can go here and not have a good view of a TV. Service was a little slow but they were very busy because the Warriors were on. The pizza was pretty good. Overall a good neighborhood spot that I will more than likely be bellied up to the bar at again.

Loved this spot. Came here to watch the Warriors game and there are TV’s all over the place so no matter where you sat you were in view of the game. The place looks a little rugged on the outside but don’t let that fool you. The service was great, the food was great(wings and garlic fries), and the $ 14 pitchers will keep me coming back.

If you’re a sports fan, especially if you’re a warriors fan this is the spot to be at for every major warriors game. All the walls in grand oaks are literally filled with tv’s so no matter where you are seated you can watch the game. I usually show up at 5pm to hold a table for my friends and i suggest you do the same as well as any major sport event gets packed to the point where there are only standing room only. The entire staff is friendly and helpful and do their best to get your drinks and food to you as soon as possible so i always like to tip them well as they always busts their butts. They have a nice option on the menu for their sporting events. My favorite is their cheeseburger and wings. You can pretty much avoid their pizza though as its not that great, but it could just be me haha. Highly recommended if youre looking for a great sports bar.

Seriously, need to be open minded out this place! It’s like a hidden Gem in Oakland… like the Lake Shore Movie Theater. This place is old skoo, literally a restaurant in a HOUSE! Feels so homey! Inside there are TONS Of T.V. Great for watching games. Full bar plus food. Of course when it get’s really crowded on some of the game nights… BEPATIENTLIKEANYOTHERPLACE during popular game night(i know… duh). This place really reminds me of the Old School Lake Shore Movie Theater, but in a Old School Homey Sports Lounge setting.

Great service — where everybody knows my name… and my drink. Go warriors! Great place to watch the game; they have wall to wall tvs with sound! Not an easy thing to find in Oakland; there are only a handful in Oakland that turn up the volume.

I was here with my family the other week. We had 6 adults and 4 kids. We were outside for 10 minutes, waiting for them to open at 5pm. As soon as they opened their doors, they asked if we had reservations, which we didn’t. With that response, I was afraid we needed reservations, but they sat us immediately. The service was very friendly and the food was delicious. Most of us ordered the ribeye dish. I asked them what the plate comes with, and they said it came with vegetables and fries. We didn’t want fries with our steak and asked if they had any other sides we could substitute with. They offered more vegetables or rice, and we all chose rice. The food came out in a timely manner, and everything on our plates were oh so good. The steak was great and cooked perfectly, as ordered(a rarity with steaks, most places over cook). I still think about the vegetables, best vegetables I’ve had at a restaurant of this kind. Rice was delicious, as well. Overall, great food, great prices, friendly service. I’m looking forward to coming back to Oakland just so I can dine here. Thanks for a great experience, Grand Oaks!!! Keep it up! :-)

If you’re like me you’ve walked or driven by this place more than a handful of times and thought, «hey maybe I should go in…» well, I finally came in, and 30 minutes after arriving(and almost all of the employees in this place walking right by my table and avoiding eye contact) I actually put in an order and got a steak and eggs that was pretty decent for the price! $ 19.95. I would have talked to the manager about the service, but I’m pretty sure he was one of the ones just doing his damnedest to not serve my table. That being said, when you don’t feel like making your own dinner or even heating up some TV dinner from Trader Joe’s, this is A-OK.

Awesome little spot, would recommend to any and all. Came here with a friend to watch some Sunday football and had a blast. The fries are phenomenal, garlic is glorious. Service was quick and friendly, and got us some delicious wings pretty quick. Perfect fare for the fourteen thousand televisions they have in the back room, just enough to watch pretty much every game, a dream come true. After about 3 pitchers and plenty of food, we found ourselves making hazy friendships and enjoying the games ever so much more. Shots soon followed, and it all became a dream of touchdowns and french fries. If you want to have some fun, check it out here. Just make sure you’re a Raiders fan.

Saw this place on Check Please Bay Area and it was exactly what it said. Granted it was a bit uncomfortable with the rowdy guest who were next to us but it’s not the restaurants fault. We ordered: Prime Rib: 4 Stars Fish & Chips: 4 Stars Next time we’ll request to sit in the more quiet area. Service was great too!

Came here for the first time to watch the 4th game against the Warriors and the Pelicans. My friends reserved a table upstairs. There are TVs all along the walls giving a sports bar feel. Every channel was watching the Warriors game. It was very lively. I only tried a few of their foods and most of what came out was fried foods. Pretty typical for a sports bar. The servers were really nice too. I’d definitely come back. Plus it’s really close to my house, walking distance, so it’s nice being able to go to a sports bar without having to drive there and deal with finding parking, considering Grand Ave can get pretty busy and parking can be a pain.

We had so much fun here last Saturday night! We came to celebrate a birthday. We ordered a few pitchers & appetizers and just hung out. Service was very attentive! We were checked up on very often. This is definitely a sports bar. There are a dozen TV’s to watch every game and sport that happens to be playing. We watched the Warrior game and once it was over, they turned on the Karaōke! We sang the night away. Very fun! They have a large selection of songs, I like that their machine is modern, its a computer that you type in whatever song or artist into the search field. This seems to be a popular local spot and I can see why.

Two times I have been here and Two times I have left with a smile. No silly not because I may have been drunk but because I enjoyed myself. The Bartender is totally cool and easy going. The place is loud and fun and there are lots of T. V;s to see, Two times I have drank Blue Moon and Two Times I have had a Sausage Pepperoni Pizza and Two Times I have been pretty happy. My man date for the night was Justin Z from work and if you work with us you would know that at times you do need to get out and have a drink or two or maybe a few more. Yes I will come back and sit at the bar and have a groovy time.

I sometimes get leery walking around Oakland because of it’s negative media portrayal. But living in fear is not living at all. Who wants to be Nicholas Cage in the Croods? So I heard there’s this great place on Grand Ave called Grand Oaks. I park 2 blocks away near the Safeway and walk towards the establishment. Nothing is out of the ordinary so this is probably one of the safer areas of Oakland. My party of 10(yes it’s a large party) were seated all the way in the back. Man, this room is a sport lovers dream. With a dozen large tvs(52″ each?), you can literally watch every sport broadcasting in the USA. The front of the restaurant has your usual tables and bar. As for the food, the pizza is a good choice if you want to share. It’s nothing special like a pizza establishment but if you drink it with beer(like a Fat Tire), it’s still pretty good. The show stealer is the Grand Oaks Steak. I almost mistaken this place for a steakhouse since this steak is beautifully grilled to perfection with a side of mash potatoes and veggies. Medium rare they do really well.
