Only giving a 3 because I didn’t order food. Nothing caught my eye. But their Lavander Lemonade was amazing.

I’ve seen them a couple times, but I haven’t given them a try. Tonight became a taco tuesday for me as I ended up getting nothing but tacos. I went with their Streatery Brisket tacos(3 tacos for $ 8) Well, they were stuffed and it was made fresh(the best thing about food trucks). 5min wait and wasn’t a big line. I was very happy with their tacos with the portions, ingredients and their house sauce. They had a few other options. but that oxtail and grits look good!

Go Streatery serves Oxtail! Yay! I had been craving oxtail for weeks, and not too many restaurants make this dish. So when I saw that the Go Streatery Food Truck had this on their menu, I was super excited! Oxtail and Grits with a fried egg was what we chose to try. Happy to say that it did not disappoint. The grits and oxtail paired well together. The fried egg which costed an extra $ 1.50 did not really add to the flavor so I would not include that as an option next time. Personally, I would have preferred rice instead of grits. Overall, it is a worthy 4 stars entrée. The meat of the oxtail was tender, and fall off the bone delicious! $ 13 is a steep price to pay, but I would pay that price again. Lemon Ricotta donut holes were a yummy dessert that they offered. 4 stars tasty for those 4 donut holes. Lavender Lemonade is also tasty. Great way to wash down all the delicious oxtail, grits, and doughnuts that you have just eaten! 4 stars! I saw a sign on a window that mentioned they are«Serving Glorious Peasant Food». Well, I like their peasant food! Go Streatery Food Truck is worth searching for and going to, so go already!

There are just some things that can change your entire paradigm about something and that’s exactly what Go Streatery did for me. About a year ago I discovered that there are food trucks and gourmet food trucks a definite difference between the two Go Streatery defined that for me with there amazing menu and bomb drops of freshness I experienced with each bite. What was I eating? I was eating pheasant patties and ox taile and grits, a menu you wouldn’t believe existed on the go traveling from place to place. Not only was the food great but the staff and reception I received was welcomed and appreciated they made sure I got exactly what I wanted and definitely left me full but wanting more You keep rocking Streatery your great and I highly recommend this truck be devoured by any and all pallet testers and anyone looking for that new great culinary experience!

Tried this food truck and we were very satisfied. Started with the romaine spears with herbed pepita dressing and my only compliant is I wanted more of that dressing! Hubby had the brisket sandwich with fried egg and I kept having bites of it: D I ordered the oxtail and grits which was tender as expected but was under seasoned and/or needed more of that gravy. Definitely do try if you see them!

Zeppoles are a must. They’re pretty close to perfect but I wish the outsides were crispier. Brisket tacos are good too and the flavors are there. Brisket sammie is just ehh. It’s too oily and fatty and so messy to eat. Brisket just falls all over the place. And the sauce they use is kinda weird, it is pretty much a salad dressing.

Our office park schedules a different food truck each week. Normally this kind of food wouldn’t be my first choice, but ONLY because I didn’t know anything but fried could possibly be good! Spicy Peasant Rice w/Pork Patties and a Fried Egg AND Fried Garlic Potato Wedges are all ONPOINT! I walked up knowing I was getting the Oxtail and Grits but staying true to my indecisiveness, I switched at the last minute and it was a good decision. I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect but I definitely wasn’t expecting this much flavor. The jasmine rice is cooked to perfection with carrots and shallots, green onions and Sriracha topped with a kale salad with julienned carrots and a tangy dressing. I added the egg for $ 1.25. I broke the egg on the pork patties. The potato wedges are sweet and baked tender doused in a sauce I can’t place but oh so yummy. They look as if they’ll be spicy, but they’re sweet. I’m stuffed but I’m still eating. Co-workers tried the tacos and said they’re delicious. 2 for $ 5. They’re small street tacos piled high with meat and a crispy slaw. The jasmine lemonade is fragrant and sweet. All amazing, just AMAZING!

You always remember your first… food truck experience. Go Streatery was my first and BEST. The oxtail and grits were so succulent and tasted just like Mom made. I enjoyed the lemon ricotta doughnuts. The texture is amazing and they are very light. Lavender lemonade is now my favorite beverage. Since that first experience I have tried other food trucks and none satisfy me as much as Go Streatery.

Absolutely delicious. We stumbled upon Off the Grid in Concord by accident so we had to check it out. I was looking around the trunks when my wife ordered Oxtail and Grits form Go Streatery. I tasted just one bite and I knew I had to have one for myself. First off, the grits are velvety smooth, creamy but not too over powering. This sets up oxtail which is so delectable, tender, and properly cooked/seasoned. Smother it with some yummy gravy and you have a very hearty meal. But wait. Top it off with a fired egg and you have a plate full of awesome. Yes, smother that runny egg through the grits and the oxtail. The egg is the perfect icing on a serious bomb dish. Orange zest and parsley add tang and color. And it does not stop there. The Ricotta Doughnut Balls are also addictingly delicious. Properly deep fried doughnut that is basked in lemon zest is a perfect dessert for an epic plate. I do like that touch Go Streatery has when they recycle magazine papers to use a Ricotta Doughnut Ball holder, kudos to you. And don’t forget the Lavender Lemonade, oh so quench thirsting delicious drink. I do wish though they would serve more of it.(a measly 12oz I think?) Go Streatery alone is enough to keep me going back to Off the Grid in Concord. I would like to explore more of their menu. I already tried their Spicy Peasant Rice w/Pork Patty. Although not as legendary as their Oxtail and Grits, it is still a solid plate. Go Streatery is an excellent food truck that dishes out serious plates.

Ohh nooooo, I’m sad to do it but I’m bringing the five stars to four. Go Streatery was at Off the Grid Lake Merritt recently so of course I went and got the beef brisket sandwich and lemon ricotta doughnut holes. The doughnuts were fresh this time(I watched an employee fry and put powdered sugar on it) so it’s really upsetting that all I tasted was the frying oil and powdered sugar. I didn’t taste lemon, I didn’t get the zest. What happened??? It didn’t help that we got two mutated doughnut holes so they counted it as four. Meh. Sadness. That beef brisket sandwich is still delicious though. Love that there’s actually veggies on it. I love meat but having some greens make it so much better. Until next time. I really hope the doughnut holes were just off that night…

I don’t know what peasant food is, but there is no way this is how peasants eat. I was hungry and on the way to Fox Theater for a concert, and THEREITWAS. gostreatery’s food truck a block away. Short line. What luck! Oxtail and grits — $ 12.50 braised beef oxtail, gravy over grits, topped with orange zest and chopped parsley. I don’t know what orange zest is, but it looks like carrots to me and I didn’t dig it. Since I only eat raw carrots and they were not crunchy, I left those virtually untouched. But oh my goodness, the oxtail, it was so fall-right-off-the-bone, gloriously tender. The flavor with the gravy was wonderful and the blander grits were a good contrast. Zeps: lemon ricotta doughnuts — $ 3 Italian doughnuts with powdered sugar(aka Zeppole) Comes in cone of 4 – 5 doughnut holes. Mine came with four, sad. But they are excellent! Hot and soft and how can you go wrong with powdered sugar??? I don’t even like lemon flavored desserts generally, but I loved these. The lemon flavor was not overwhelming at all. Lavender lemonade — $ 2.50 absolutely wonderful. Who knew lavender could make lemonade taste so much better?! Lavender flavor isn’t overwhelming either. It’s sweet but not too sweet. Love it Totally thought I over ordered and that I would not be able to finish, but the portions were smaller than I expected, so I wolfed it all down right quick.

PLACE — Truck line wasn’t too crazy. Definitely a wait though. FOOD — Oxtail. On the border of delicious. Bread was way to big. Lemonade was delicious though. SERVICE — Thoroughly dissapointed in how uninterested they were in my patronage. PRICE — Expensive for how small amount of food I ended up getting. GOBACK? — Probably will skip and try the other trucks.

I’ve been on a bad food truck streak. Just couldn’t seem to find a truck that I would go to consistently for a while now. And then there it was. Right off the bat, front and center on their chalkboard — Peasant Food. YESSSSSS! I love when someone brings out the weird old time stuff. It’s the best. I opted for the Linguicia and Potato Stew and for dessert, the highly recommended lemon doughnuts. I asked for a fried egg on top of the stew and the gal taking my order gave me a face like… you sure? I assure you — Koreans do stew and we like eggs on top. :). The price was, by far, the least expensive. And let me tell you, every cent is well worth every bite. To be honest, I’m not a fan of lemon desserts. I just dont. Sweet, sour, doesn’t matter, but these doughnuts man… they’re good. Like. Actually feels and tastes homemade. If there was a cinnamon or chocolate covered version, they may as well make a small side cart just for the doughnuts. Keep that recipe a secret y’all. It’s damn good. The stew. Oh the stew. I’m not a fan of sweet potato. Never have and thought I never would. Go Streatery, you are the apple of my eye. It’s like carrots but better in this stew. There was an abundance of sausage and the fried egg on top was well made — runny yolk and all. Can’t wait for y’all to come back so I can try the ox tail!

The food at Go Streatery is absolutely delicious! I’ve had their food at the Concord and Lake Merritt Off the Grid locations. Everything I have ordered each time I’ve noshed on their food has been nothing short of amazing! The Oxtail & Grits seems to be their most popular dish. Its my favorite on their menu. The oxtail meat is so rich and tender! The aromatics are quite fragrant and different from what you might smell at surrounding OTG food trucks. The oxtails paired with the creamy grits makes for a rich and satisfying meal. I’ve also ordered the Fingerling Potato snack item. Very good, try it! My second favorite dish here is the Brisket Sandwich topped off with a fried egg. The meat is super tender with the fried egg adding an extra few ounces of richness! I also love the soft bun they use for the sandwich. Another must order item is the Lemon Ricotta Donuts! These small donuts are not too sweet. They have a touch of lemon zest, powdered sugar, and are soft on the inside but slightly crispy on the exterior. These little donuts are a great way to end an Off the Grid visit! Prices are reasonable considering the quality food they serve. Only gripe is the inconsistent service I’ve received on different visits. I’ve had very enthusiastic and friendly employees at times. On some visits, I have experienced employees that could be short and rude when they are busy(especially when they run out of an item). There have been times where I would be the next in line, and instead of a «we will be right with you,» I would get a blank stare and then the employee would continue on calling out finished orders to waiting customers. Either way, the inconsistent service will not deter me from returning for their delicious food. I guess I shouldn’t expect more from that.

5 Stars for the Ricotta Doughnut Balls(deep fried doughnut balls with ricotta and lemon zest flavor) 0 Stars for the girl who was taking the order and money yesterday at the Rock Wall Winery Food Truck Frenzy! Super Rude(some of us have food allergies and have to ask question, and sorry we only had a 20 dollar bills, maybe they don’t need the business) Rude people run the truck. Only thing we tired was the Ricotta Doughnut Balls because other Elite Unilocalers recommend it. It’s super GOOD! Their prices are higher than other trucks, but the Ricotta Doughnut Balls were good and worth the price.

I finally tried Go Streatery today. It is not because they do not look appetizing, but for one reason or another, I always see them after I have stuffed myself with other food trucks’ offerings. I ordered the much hyped lemon ricotta donuts and the spicy peasant rice with pork patties. The donuts were $ 3(probably one of the cheaper offerings found at Off The Grid) and comes with four pieces. The spicy peasant rice with pork patties was $ 7.75 and is just the right size, neither too little nor too much. It came served with a spinach salad with vinaigrette dressing. The donuts were so delicious! Not at all sweet, they are more dense and savory but I like them for it. I am usually a fried sweet dough lover, but I will come back again and again to have the lemon ricotta donuts. On the other hand, the spicy peasant rice with pork patties were just alright to me. The spicy rice was nice but the pork patties were just so-so. I feel like the rice was the star of the dish but that just does not satisfy me. Both the rice and the pork patties should shine and that just was not the case. I am not too dissatisfied, though. I will come back for the donuts, and maybe their delicious-looking lemonades and iced teas.

Got to try this awesome food truck at Off The Grid in Oakland. They were out of grits, but were serving limited quantities of the oxtail over a bed of rice instead– wonderfully delicious! The deep richness of the oxtail is balanced perfectly with touches of parsley(?) and orange zest. We also tried their brisket sandwich, which was absolutely amazing. Seriously, if they’re in the area, definitely try their fare! Next time we go, hoping to try the oxtail with grits.

At Off the Grid in El Cerrito. The donuts are a must! Unilocal was right! And the staff is so sweet. I did take a chance on the pork sausage-rice thing and it was OFFTHECHAIN! The spicy sauce made it sing. The crunchy salad on top … pure poetry. Everyone always raves about the oxtails but the bones freak me out. Maybe in my next life — I’ve already promised my husband that I’ll eat tripe in my next life, so why not weird-ass bony ox tails.
