Millie is the best! Friendly, focused, and always willing to go the extra mile to make sure you leave satisfied. And such a killer price too! Even with a 20% tip I can’t find a rate lower for such quality.

I haven’t gone anywhere else for 3 years now. Millie is extremely welcoming and she’ll do exactly what you want, she not’s one of those hairstylists that’ll cut off two inches of your hair when you asked for a trim.
Her prices are inexpensive compared to other mediocre spots in Oakland. From long hair to bob, she only charged $ 10 – 13.
Also, the salon itself is nice and quiet. It has nice fengshui as it’s pretty spacious for just one hairstylist and periodic clients.

After moving to Oakland we were hard pressed to find an inexpensive hair salon. We were pleasantly surprised to find this gem. The outside looks a little iffy but once you’re inside its very nice and clean and you have good conversation and its very family oriented. When I’m not able to get my haircut here and I have to get it cut somewhere else I feel like I’m cheating on a friend. The only advice I have is to look out for the parking signs and pay your meter.

I have been here twice and the ladies are super friendly. I brought along my hyper energetic niece and the lady entertained her and me as I was getting my hair cut.
Each hair cut I have gotten is just what I wanted. Even though there was a line, she didn’t seemed rushed which was important for me. The first time I had a trim and thinning without razors. The second time I went from long to medium length. She would check in from time to time to make sure she knew exactly what I wanted.
For a women’s cut, the price is ridiculously cheap. I got mine for $ 12.

The only place i’ll go to get a haircut.

First, prices are very affordable $ 8 for a hair cut.
Second, new place, very clean

Great mens haircut for $ 8. The owner was very nice, and the shop was really clean. She was just locking the door for the day as I walked up, but she happily stayed to accommodate me. I will be going back for sure.

Went there for a men’s cut and was pleasantly surprised. Nice inside, felt new and clean. Got a cut & shampoo. $ 13 is a very low price and I am satisfied with my cut. I’m not super picky, but I like a clean, nice place to go and I found it. Millie was nice and I’ll definitely be back.

I absolutely love this place and won’t go anywhere else Millie is a genius and she cuts everyone in my families hair. Neither of my daughters have ever gone anywhere else. Now my cousins are in the bandwagon too– Millie rocked the sexiest up do on the planet for her wedding.
#1, first come first served and you don’t have wait long.
#2-​Toddler haircuts! Both my daughters went here for their first haircuts. They have special cushions for little people and she liked the silky pink princess gown with shoe décor very much… as well as the lollipop to be given during or afterward. Millie has 4 kids, and knows the drill.
#3. good scissors. I always cringe inside when the stylist takes out a razor. because though the immediate effects can be cute, it leads to split ends soon after. Even worse is the grating sound of dull scissors. The scissors the stylist used here made a crisp snip snip sound, and my hair has nary a split end to prove it.
#4. vision, and great at following instructions. i came in and cut my hair completely short 6 months ago and it grew out so nicely I didn’t have to come back until today.
#5. Men’s haircuts. My fussy man cousin even loves her. He has hair as fine as a bunny and she keeps him looking sharp. My husband’s hair always looks good too. I hated his old barber… always have an old man cut, but now be looks cool.
I bought some crystal barrettes there too, and they are great quality. I may consider some of the more elaborate bling under the showcase if I ever find something fancy or fun enough to warrant it.
My only complaint is that they don’t take credit cards. I hate dealing with cash… though in the case of Glamorous Hair Salon we are not talking big money. This is the BEST haircut in town for the lowest price.

This is very bad salon, i have never met.
They cut my hair verrrrrrrrrrrrrry short, my front hair look like «Umbrella“very troublesome salon, I will NOT go anymore.
They never learn how to cut hair!!!
