Domino’s Pizza

I’ve tried to make this work so many times, Fruitvale Domino’s. So. Many. Times. So many deliveries that took 2 hours or more. So many rude people on the phone and at my door. Cold pizzas, etc etc.
Today I placed an order for carry out thinking maybe the problem was in the delivery and if picking it up made it faster I could handle that. Nope. Ordered two one topping medium pizzas. The app said it would be ready in 15 – 20 minutes. Came 35 minutes later. Still not ready. No apology. Just a rude «well, we’re really busy and there’s only a couple people here». No there’s like five people back there. Almost an hour later still nothing.

Horrible. I placed an order online a watched my order through the online tracking update and 2 hrs later it said the pizza had delivered and I never received anything. Waste of time.

The food here isn’t bad I order from here alot but unfortunately delivery sucks I waited 2 hours and my pizza was cold for the third time in a row the sandwiches always come warm for some reason though

This place sucks!!! It has been two hours and my pizza still has not gotten here!!! I have called multiple times and they just put you on hold and never come back to the phone. I will never order from here again.

They take for ever to answer the phone and then they sounds like if don’t want to work. It’s been more then an hour and I’m still waiting for my order as I write this. Called twice. Lady pretending to be a manager said I couldn’t get a discount or compensation and on top of that she was rude and told me «too bad» we short staffed… Don’t order from here, specially if you travel to Oakland and just wanted some food!

I ordered through the website and it clearly added bacon to my pizza and pasta so I get there and I love the customer service but when I got home I noticed they didn’t get my order right and I couldn’t go back because I live on the complete opposite side. I’m never coming here again!!!

I’m giving this establishment 4 stars, they lost one star and here’s why. I called the shop at midnight when the Unilocal review says they close at 1am. When they answered the phone all they said was «Hello.» I replied with «Is…is this Dominoes?» To which they confirmed with a simple «yes.»
I proceeded to place my order but they stopped me and said «we’re closed.» I asked about the 1am on the site to which he said was incorrect. After I hung up I checked Unilocal!Someone had the same experience so I decided to drive over. The «Open» sign was off but I proceeded to walk into the shop.
I asked to order but they said it was closed. I asked about purchasing any left over pizzas to which they happily obliged. Two medium meat pizzas for about $ 17 but when I gave them my debit card they say CASH ONLY!!! Damn, only cash I have is $ 2 so I decide to offer it regardless, to which they deny me. As I walk out I remind them to eat that pizza, don’t toss it!
While I’m in my car I find $ 8!!! I run back but they’ve locked the door. I knock until they look over and I flash them some cash. They open the door and I say how about $ 10! They remind me that it’s supposed to be $ 17 so I say okay how much for one pizza? He replies «mhmmmmm… I charge you $ 8.15» Random number but I say okay. He goes and grabs both boxes and asks me which box. I choose a box and he asks «how much you got?» I still only have $ 10 so I remind him that I only have $ 10! He replies, «okay I give you both for $ 10»
Somehow he managed to twist the deal so it seems like he is offering it to me. I take both pizzas for $ 10 and I’m a happy camper.

I have only used them for delivery, I haven’t eaten in the store. But the deliveries have always been on time, and the drivers have always been courteous. I live way from the street, they make the extra effort to find my door. The store has called me when there was any issue with my online order. For example, once I ordered a pasta with bread bowl, and they didn’t have enough pasta to fill the bowl. They called me and offered me some free chicken wings to make up for it, since I’d already paid with a card. The Chicken Fettucini is great, and I love the BBQ wings, too. The pizza is good also. Also I live in a neighborhood some other pizza places won’t deliver to so I especially appreciate them.

I don’t know why they give this place terrible reviews? They always show up so fast. Best parmesan bites ever lmao. The driver is usually nice, talkative and friendly. They usually make me laugh watching them trying to juggle everything and have the receipt not blow away in the wind. I live down the street, and I love pizza. My boyfriend works til 12 a lot so this place is perfect for a late night dinner for us. Thanks dominos. Classic. Just maybe the crust could be a little thicker on the hand tossed?

Food-​wise, Dominos can easily hang with some of the local pizzerias in the area.
Just tried one of their Pasta Primavera bread bowls for the first time and surprisingly it was the highlight of the meal. The Pasta itself was pretty good, but the bread bowl itself sealed the deal, it’s made out of the same soft bread they use to make their dough and baked with the pasta so it doesn’t feel like you’re chewing on a 3 year old dog toy like Boudin’s bread bowls. The Pacific Veggie pizza was also really good for a «fast food» pizza and like I said before, a lot better than some of the local pizzerias around town. The breadsticks were also pretty good despite getting a little cold/​stale by the time I got home.
The service was fast and friendly, and my food was ready for pickup on time, which was all that I was looking for, and all that I got on that end. Can’t say I’d go out of my way to eat here often mainly because it’s not that healthy, but next time I’m out and about and craving a good, but relatively cheap bite to eat, Dominos will be put into the mix.

Food made my tummy hurt. Manager was responsive… but did not initially offer a refund citing company policy. Bro!
We sorted things out eventually through the mediation of another staff member — thank you sweetie for totally understanding!

So the pizza quality is good but the delivery is horrible. I waited for a third experience before writing this. The first time we ordered it took over two hours to deliver and we are 2 blocks from the shop. The second time it was reasonable but today it was another long wait and the computer delivery tracker was false saying it went out to deliver at 12:57 and after talking to the manager the order was entered at 12:57 due to the computer being down.
Update: Dominos the company is very dedicated to their product and their customers and this really impressed me. I was contacted and my concerns were noted. This was all done with care and such respect. I really appreciate the follow up and will continue to eat there :)

I’m gonna just say it good, wasn’t a bad experience but could’ve been a lil better. The driver was actually here at a reasonable time and polite. The pasta was actually pretty good, pizza was a little soggy from most the ingredients being dead center then collecting grease lol. But I ate happily still and will be ordering again.

Don’t trust the eta from online it’s actually misleading and not always fair to the workers as far as reasonable

This Dominoes is very dependable & right on time. My orders have always been correct and delivered by very friendly delivery guys. I love using the online tracker. Great service.

If u could give it no stars I would this is the second time I wait over an hour AFTER the tracker indicates I should already be enjoying my pizza it is ridiculous and I will not ever be ordering from this place again I even called the store and their response was «the driver is not back yet so must still be out with your pizza» no shit Sherlock I asked for and estimated time she said an other 20 – 30 min I will be sure to call the manager

I love pizza. And dominoes always seems to do me right. I like that they are close enough that i can walk my fat ass there. And i love me some e.14.

Ordered my pizza 2 hours ago. It’s New Year’s Day… and it is currently 11:49 and still haven’t received my pizza. That is all.

It is 12:36 NOW and we just called dominos. They said we cancelled the order! No one f****** cancelled the order we called to ask how much longer it will take. Never ordering again from Dominos. Takes forever for 2 medium pizzas. Bull!
I have been ordering from here since I was little but now it’s for sure We aren’t ordering from here anymore. This is absolute bull!!! I cannot believe them. I work in retail/​food industry and j know what it’s like to be busy but canceling an order without a courtesy call and having us wait for exactly 3 hours is ridiculous!
Screw you dominos. I’m gonna call headquarters.

As everyone else has said, delivery is worthless. Placed an order online, when I called to cancel the order, which I was able to do, thank goodness, the woman who answered implied that it was taking a long time because I had ordered online, instead of calling. I ordered 45 minutes ago, My pizza, according to the delivery tracker online, was prepared and baked right away, out of the oven within 15 minutes. Then it sat around for 30+ minutes. I most certainly don’t want a cold pizza, and not for the price of delivery, so I called and cancelled. The estimated delivery time on the website was quote at 14 – 14 minutes. When I called the delivery time was an hour to an hour and a half. I don’t know why they would even bake the pizza if they don’t have someone ready to take it. What a waste of time and pizza.

I was really disappointed in the staff this time around.
My expectations aren’t high for Oakland delivery services to begin with, but Domino’s really needs to train their staff better.
I had placed an online order as I always do, but this time I inputted special instructions for the driver to come to the door and not to call me this time around.
I don’t expect this all the time, but I was more exhausted more than usual today so I didn’t feel like walking out.
An hour had passed and the driver did not listen to my instructions and called me out. I missed the first call because my phone was on silent. I obviously was not expecting any calls.
I called the store to insure the driver was coming back and expressed that I has listed special instructions. The store clerk told me that he isn’t sure how the receipts prints out because their systems are different.
After another 30 mins the driver arrives and I am still asked to walk out. At this point I admit defeat and step out, but what that’s the cake is the receipt does indicate the special instructions and the driver didn’t supply the extra marinara sauces I had ordered.
Not planning on ordering from here again.

We decided to order some quick pizza before going out for the night, thinking it shouldn’t take too long since we live a few blocks down Fruitvale. Extreme mistake.
Ordered the pizza at 4:15, and the expected delivery said 5:15. An hour, that’s fine since we weren’t expecting friends until then. 6:15 shows up and still no sign of the delivery guy. As we’re about to leave to make it to our concert, lo and behold the delivery guy calls. Said it would be another 10 – 15 minutes until the delivery. Two hours later? Nope, you guys messed up, we don’t even want the pizza anymore we need to leave.
Don’t ever order delivery from this place. The drivers are always late and never know where they are going.
