Djama African Hair Braiding

My best friend came here five weeks ago, and OMG! I don’t need to be there to review them! Let me start off by saying, it did not look bad at all, BUT, they did a HORRIBLE job at braiding it! About two weeks after they did her hair, she noticed, her braids started to fall out, which pulled her hair out by the route. Shortly after, she came to my house and spent the night. The next day when she had left, I found a few braids on my bed. I mean, how can it be that easy for her braids to fall out, without her noticing it? Then, when she called, to let them know what happened, they tried to blame it on the fact that she has short hair. They refused to compensate her any of her money back, while still claiming they do a great job. SMH. She will never go back there again, nor recommend them to anyone, and she would definitely worn anyone who does! I’m sorry, whether or not they think they did a good job, if the customers are not happy, they should have fixed the problem, rather than blaming the customers. Poor customer service, and poor quality! Don’t do it!

HUGH sigh! Where shall I begin? Went here a little over a week ago, and they do accept walk ins. Went in on a Thursday short notice, mid day. I was a little confused, all the women there only 1 really spoke English fluently oddly, she was NOT the one to help me so you can imagine my delima. After being solicted to buy waist beads She begin braiding fairly quick. I was shocked when not even ¼ through shed asked to be paid and no sooner I gave her the $ 200, she left leaving someone else in charge who took what seemed like 2 hours to brais 2 rolls. Then I was interrupted a 2^nd time about the other $ 50 I owed. I was rather snappy so they decided to wait. In a nutshell, there’s at least 3 kids running around the entire time, gnats buzzing all in your face, the braider who finally returned sometime later chatted on the phone for majority of the time and after I asked her to not braid so tight, she seemed to make a mockery outta me in her native language. 2 of my braids alrdy fell out, and the knot she braided to begin the braids is so ugly. $ 250, ill never waste my $$ here again. I hate the way my hair looks. So sloppy. If u know better, run for the heels. Nonetheless there all really nice just extremely unprofessional. You’d be better off getting braides in someones house kitchen then here. I never wanted to get away from somewhere so badly

ive been goin to them for about 4 years ONLY because they are affordable. BUT lately they have been fuckinup!!! takin out my edges makin me bald. then had the nerve to run out of my hair an use they whack ass cheap hair. an then CHARGED ME FOR IT!!! thats when i was like never again

Please don’t insult my intelligence by giving them 4 stars. As I am trying to read your review, it is obvious of your educational level. it is spelled «CUSTOMER» and LONGER are the words of the DAY! You must work there or speak there language. Other people can do you hair the way you want without all the barking in your ear for 4 hours. Try «WORLD of braids» where there is a professional environment. I will tell all my friends don’t waste your time or sanity by going this nasty salon! ! Unprofessional people yeah the prices are affordable because they are losing customers.
