After coming back from LA, I had a craving for churros. Since my hubby was heading towards this area, I immediately did a search on Unilocal for churro stands. This was my choice after noticing how easy it is to spot the churro cart. Hubby came back with 3 churros(no filling). To be honest, the churros was just ok. The exterior was a little tough and the inside was too doughy. I noticed that each churro had a hole inside. Maybe the churro would taste better with filling but that’s just not our thing. The first and only time I had filling inside a churro was from Jack In The Box and that tasted weird to us. My search continues for the best churro in the Bay Area…

I haven’t had a churro quite like this. Crispy yet doughy perfection. That’s the best way I can explain it! It’s not too sweet but just the right amount of cinnamon sugar. A tad smaller than your normal churro size so you may want to order two or five. Priced at $ 1.50 you can afford to do so! I ordered one regular churro and one churro with chocolate filling. I didn’t like the chocolate. The taste was off. The churro tho! So good! My gf is not much of a dessert/sweet person and she loved the churros here! Overall, I’m a fan and I’ll definitely have more future dates with this churro cart.

By far the best churros I’ve had in Oakland! This small post on the corner of High Street and Bancroft is owned by a wife and her husband. They have churros rellenos, which means they’re filled with crema, chocolate, or cajeta. Personally, not my favorite, not because they’re not good, but because it’s just too sweet for my likings. I prefer the traditional fresh out of the fryer, warm & sugary churros. No regretssss! Plus, they’re only $ 1.50 in comparison to what you’ll get at a theme park or at a sports game & they charge like 5 dollars for one. Um no thanks! Try this place, you won’t regret it either.

«Is it possible to have a Churro hangover?» That was my thought as ate my 3rd caramel filled churro. «Am I going to regret this tomorrow?» They have four filling options: vanilla, chocolate, strawberry and caramel. The first churro I ate was a caramel churro and it was perfect. Some might be tempted to make sure they try each flavor. Some might be tempted to say ‘No’ to perfect because there other options, but that’s not me. That’s how I ended up eating four caramel churros that night. My wife asked if she could try a bite and I had to tell her«No, this churro is too good to share. You’ll need to get your own.» So is there such a thing as a churro hangover? I can’t tell you that. What I can tell you is I have nor churro regrets.

Here’s the thing. This place… is too delicious and too convenient for me to ever have a healthy lifestyle. I didn’t realize how much this cart meant to me until about a year ago when they took a week off and I felt like my life was ending. I always get the plain ones and they are just… so awesome and amazing. Even when they are super busy and have tons of people waiting, the people working are always super kind. They recently raised the price and and barely batted an eyelash because they are totally worth it.

We hired Churros Guerrero for our wedding. They were amazing! Churros are top notch. They were cheap. Super professional. Can’t wait to have them at another event.

Delicious and best eaten fresh but be careful, they are so tempting and very hot. Only had the plain and thought it was sweet enough, but saw many folks getting the filled ones.

Pros: Competitive prices SUPERB pastry quality Nice size PERFECT. Delicious. Love the vanilla custard & plain. It really doesn’t need filling. It’s perfect on its own. Cons: nothing. well, I just didn’t care so much for that chocolate filling, but whatever. I think this might be better than Churros mexicana. Holy crap. And it’s in the corner of a parking lot on high street so it’s maybe more accessible to people in other neighborhoods and driving in cars.

We found these guys when Rico’s Churro’s had already run out, and since we had all built ourselves into a frenzy of desperate churro cravings, we kept looking around until we ran across Churros Guerrero. Super friendly couple, and they were kind enough to make up another batch for us before closing down as long as we bought a minimum amount($ 10 I think). HOWEVER, when they broke out a premixed package of batter, I knew that this wouldn’t be the ultimate churro experience. As others mention, they have strawberry, chocolate and caramel flavors. Honestly, I thought the flavors sort of tasted artificial and I prefer just the plain. The churros were of course good because it was fried dough topped with sugar, but it didn’t hit the transcendental levels that Rico’s does. Totally a decent place to stop by in a pinch, and if I hadn’t had Rico’s I’d likely give them a higher rating. Now, I have been ruined for all other churros :(

Best churros ever… thus far… why can’t we have something as good as this in SJ? Is that too much to ask? lol… They’ve been my HNU crew’s go-to place for a sweet-tooth pick-me-up…it never fails :) When my friends and I started going here(which was like 6 semesters ago), the churros(filled) were about $ 1 each I believe… just yesterday I went here and the guy told us the filled churros cost $ 1.50 now… regardless, we spent $ 10.50 worth haha… You have a choice of filling flavors to choose from: vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, and caramel. I’ve tried strawberry before, and it was good… I haven’t tried vanilla or chocolate yet though… the caramel always gets me… love that stuff… Cash only, located on the sidewalk in the Mi Pueblo Plaza, and if you plan on getting these bad boyz… be sure to come before 8:30pm, cuz that’s when they close shop.

This stand is F****** epic, and probably some of the best munchie food in existence. They may be a tiny stand, but they definitely pack a punch when it comes to hot, fresh, delicious, fully stuffed churros. They don’t F*** around here, they press and fry their homemade churros right in front of you and even let you choose from three different fillings; Vanilla, Chocolate, and Strawberry(choose one or all), and for less than $ 2 each.

Saved me in a sugar-rush moment! One buck for a late night snack. $ 1.50 gets you a cream-filled churro! Irresistible!

I was born with a double whammy of a curse. First whammy-I have a deep rooted aversion to anything related to an exercise. 2nd whammy — I have a sweet tooth. What a combination! I always manage to come across the most wonderful treats. This particular treat came in the guise of a movable cart and cheap prices. I was totally blown away by the freshness and crispness of the churros. This one is far better than the pre-cooked Costco churros. The Guerrero Cart is fresh made to order with a hidden surprise inside. For my virgin churro-filled palate I opted for something simple — the understated vanilla. Wow. Perfect in every way. The vendors are super-friendly. The churro location is accessible by car or on a bike, even by foot. Right on the corner of High and Bancroft. I would so venture into unknown territories for the love of churros.

This was the most amazing churro I have ever eaten. The end. Just kidding. I wouldn’t do you like that. So in one of the many sketchy places in Oakland, there stood this amazing Churros Guerrero Cart at the corner of the Mexican supermarket parking lot. And thanks to its convenient location, parking has never been easier to find! YAY! Their churros comes in a variety of flavor. I believe the man said: Caramel, strawberry, chocolate, and vanilla. I’m not too sure, really. I kinda stopped listening after I heard«caramel». THATWASTHEONE. My friend and I each got a churro for $ 1.50. You can see it being freshly made. I didn’t eat mines just yet. We walked back to my car which was probably parked 10ft from the cart. That was how I made it inside to start taking pictures of this delicious Spanish snack dusted with sugar and has the sweet-smelling, melted caramel oozing out at the top. While I was taking the«perfect picture» of my churro, I noticed my friend next to me being really quiet. A little too quiet. I glanced over and asked her if everything is all right. She gave a light laugh with her mouth full and mumbled, «you’ll see.» I recall having my car key in my right hand, and the churro in my left. I bit into this churro and I swear if you were to look at my location from space, you’ll see a tiny explosion in that part of the globe from my taste buds going off. I dropped my keys and savored every last bite of this amazing stick of fried dough. Yes, it’s that serious. Don’t drive and eat(Churros Guerrero) people. That should be illegal! Man, I would be the one to write a longass review on a churro street cart…

Small cart but big flavor. I got to try the caramel, chocolate and vanilla and I liked them all. My tip would be to get the churro without the sugar which in my opinion makes it too sweet. The area is a little sketchy, so don’t be taken aback..

I had the vanilla and caramel filled churros. Fresh and hot. At $ 1.50 a piece a nice diversion. Watch them make it fresh in front of your eyes. Yummy.
