While they were there Blue Sky Biofuels was the bomb. Stig and company were just awesome folks to work with, and the fuel was reasonably priced, and super well processed, dried and filtered. But alas, Blue Sky Biofuels has shut their doors, as has Yokayo Biofuels. The government was giving alternative fuel companies a tax break and then the government took it away. No doubt that the Oil Industry had something to do with that, and maybe even the rendering companies that take the carcasses of dead animals and old rancid cooking oil, and render it all in to animal feed. Too much competition for all that old McDonalds frier grease. R.I.P. Blue Sky Biofuels R.I.P. Yokayo Biofuels

Even though I know it’s good for the environment and I should at least give them some kind of star for cleaning the air, opening at 10AM is unacceptable for a working company that needs to fuel up at 7AM. CHANGEYOURHOURSON UnilocalSO I CANLAUGHATTHEM, NOTBEPISSEDOFFATYOURFRONTDOOR. Nobody who works a real job fills up at 10, we are almost ½ way through the day by then.

It’s great to be using biodiesel, my car runs great and doesn’t stink like dino diesel. It’s even better to get it direct from the source and for the best prices in the Bay Area! (almost a dollar less that biofuel oasis sometimes and always cheaper than regular deisel) The staff is super friendly too. Sirona(Blue SKy) has their fuel independently tested to rigorous standards before selling it to the public. I know because I once had to wait for results before they would sell to me. A very small inconvenience for piece of mind! Only drawback is limited hours, but I’m sure that as more people start going there they’ll make the change!

Pros: Very Reasonably priced B99.9 Bio Diesel from local sources Cons: One consumer pump at present. Not as pristine as some places Finally a place to buy Biodiesel that has competitive prices($ 4.25/gal versus fossil @ $ 4.45/ gal). I had been running B99 in the Excursion until my last reasonably priced source(Western States Oil In San Leandro) dried up so finding Sirona was fantastic. What’s even better is they make the fuel onsite from local waste oil gathered from local restaurants. I’ll post more on the performance after I’ve run a few tanks but I expect like previous Biodiesel it will yield 1% 3% lower mileage.
