Hate to be gross when describing food, but this place is so good your burps for the rest of the day will be pleasing. I keep coming back and the prices are cheap. Seedy area, great food. Friendly owner that cares about his customers and his employees. Funny that he has a flip cell phone which is irrelevant btw.

I have been eating at this restaurant for a couple of months now and I never get tired of it. The food is delicious here. My favorite go to dish is the fish tandoori(I love seafood) or the lamb curry. The taste of the food here is like no other restaurant, you literally can’t find any better. The garlic naan is to die for, I couldn’t eat enough of that stuff! chai is free with any entrée. This place is EXTREMELYCLEAN. I have been to many Indian restaurants and this one takes the win. It’s a perfect place to go on a date or even to bring groups. You could reserve a table which makes things convenient since they could get busy. The service here is prompt and the people who work here are very helpful and nice. Occasionally I would order for delivery and their drivers always get here on time. I am very satisfied with their service. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Really like this place — we order takeout weekly(usually lamb vindaloo, tandoori chicken, and garlic naan). The food is delicious every time. Curries are a bit on the oily side, but not majorly. Service is reliably fast and friendly. Very happy with them.

Was skeptical about this place while walking towards it. But once we got inside, it was amazing. The service from the moment we walked in to the moment we left was great. The gentleman who served us was great. Gave awesome recommendations and food was amazingly flavored. Chicken biryani was amazing! We are rarely ever in this area, but there’s a large possibility we might end up making special trips down there for the Biryani. Not to mention the Indian sweets they had were so good.

Really delicious Indian food, but you have to order rice separately, they don’t include it like most Indian restaurants do. I loved that I could place my delivery order through Unilocal too.

You won’t find better fish tandoori anywhere else in the Bay. You just won’t. They maintain a healthy spice level that doesn’t compromise the integrity of their food. I have not been disappointed with any dish I’ve ordered. I recommend this restaurant to all of my friends. You should definitely order the fish tandoori, chicken biriyani, bindhi masala, palak paneer, and the lamb seekh kebab. I recently tried both the chicken tikka masala and the lamb tikka masala. We were fighting over whom would finish the last few bites of both, at home. So glad to find a restaurant that cooks great food for a good price. Let’s keep them going; this is a rare find in Oakland — homey, tasty, and affordable. Excellent service, the owner is extremely hospital, and they are accommodating to customers. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I don’t check in here because it would be embarrassing because I come here very very often. The chickens tikka masala is absolutely delicious. I have tried other chicken dishes, paneer and vegetarian dishes and it’s all been good. But my standard go to in the chicken tikka masala special which comes with a side of salad, rice and naan. So far I have not been disappointed at all.

This is my favorite Indian food place in Oakland. The food is very rich in flavor, consistent, creamy and overall feels well prepared and loved. Staff is friendly, but not super chatty. The price is just right and encourages you to order more, which we always do. It’s been a tremendously enjoyable experience every single time. If you like rich, creamy and buttery flavors, this place won’t disappoint! The naans are out of this world, especially with cheese inside.

I have eaten here several times and while trying other Indian restaurants I still appreciate this place’s subtly, if you blink while driving in the area you can easily pass it by but I don’t recommend that. Each time I am in the area I make it point to stop in and enjoy some quality Indian/Pakistani food and free chai tea!

Server was welcoming an attentive. Seemed like a family business. Complimentary chai also. I love that they bring out all their sauces and chutney straight out the fridge so it’s fresh for u. The cilantro sauce is amazing. Ordered: –mango lassi: nice tang to it which I like –samosas: great flavor, not mushy inside, and the garbanzos on the side was AMAZING. Best I’ve had yet. Next time I’ll probably order a dish of just the garbanzos –lamb biryani: wasn’t a huge fan. Of the lamb and I thought the biryani had an off taste to eat. Not sure how to describe it. –got a veggie dish with potatoes and cauliflower. Personally didn’t care for the sauce it was cooked in. Bland –chicken tikka masala: too tomatoey for me. Chicken was a little over cooked for me –garlic naan: good flavor but it was burnt.

This Resturant is one of the cleanest Indian/Pakistani food places I’ve ever been too. Even the bathrooms are nice and clean(which is a pleasent change from the many other places in the area) I would HIGHLYRECOMMEND tandoori chicken breast and legs. They are seasoned JUSTRIGHT. And very FRESH. they cut the naan into small pieces so you can easily consume! Highly recommend you check it out next time your in the area.

Chicken Tikka Masala, Aloo Gobi, Baingan Bharta, Regular Naan, Garlic Naan, Cheese Naan, Vegetable Samosas, Chicken Tandoori… if any of these items are what you go for you won’t be disappointed. We don’t venture outside of this list much because it’s all just so good!!! Free chai tea and friendly service if you dine in too. The Chicken Biryani, ironically, isn’t as flavorful as other placed we’ve tried, but it still hits the spot if you’re craving it. We’ve also been ordering delivery lately and the portions, temperature, and speed have all met our expectations. Definitely our go to Pakistani/Indian restaurant in Oakland.

Our office lunch was catered by Biryani Kabab and now I can understand what the hype about the place is. Logistics-wise, Biryani Kabab is one of the best caterers we have had — the food arrived in neatly packaged bags, one per individual. It arrived promptly at noon and the food was still piping hot when I sat down to eat it which definitely has to be commended! In terms of food, the portions were generous and the food was really wonderful. I’m so glad I tried Biryani Kabab out because I will be back for sure. I ordered: 1. Lamb Tikka Masala(Spicy) — Oh my gosh, this was absolutely delicious. Anyone who is on the fence absolutely should just go for the tikka masala. The curry was spicy, flavorful and creamy. It smelled and tasted amazing and couldn’t stop stuffing my face with it. Some of the lamb chunks were slightly overcooked, but some were very, very tender and the portion of meat was generous. Overall, I would 100% tell all my friends to try this place out. 2. Garlic Naan — Flavorful and very fluffy. I was a little disappointed to find the naan was a little soggy having been sitting wrapped up in foil. Nonetheless, it was fragrant and super fluffy and yummy. I can’t wait to try their naans piping hot and fresh out of the oven though. I will probably venture down to the shop itself to try it out sometime. 3. Mango Lassi — a little on the sweet side compared to other lassis I have had, which is my preference. The taste of yogurt/milk is also not very strong which I tend to prefer but may not be for everyone. It tasted like a very smooth mango milkshake. I also tried a little bit of the biryani — the rice had a too-fragrant almost soapy taste, and for that I wouldn’t recommend it. However, I tried some of the cauliflower curry, saag paneer and tandoori chicken and all of those dishes were really good. Still, if you have to try one dish it definitely has to be the tikka masala curry! So glad I tried this place and I will definitely be back!

There are a couple good Indian restaurants in the downtown Oakland area and this is one of them. The food and service are always pleasant and attentive each time I come. They have a rotating list of 3 lunch specials per day that range from $ 8.99−9.99. Today, I got the chicken jalfarezi which is basically a chicken curry with bell peppers. The lunch specials come with rice, salad and plain naan. The chicken jalfarezi was seasoned well and didn’t have a strong curry scent like many other restaurants that I’ve been to. The salad is nothing special but the naan is great. It always comes out piping hot and has a perfect crsip on outside with being fluffy in the inside. This place is a go to for me when I have a craving for Indian food.

#16 Not a HUGE fan, but it was«okay.» I had a friend from my building over and another friend visiting from school and we all love Indian food so it seemed like the thing to do – TAKEOUT! This way we could watch our favorite show and eat at the same time. I have a favorite spot, but since I cannot drive at the moment due to recent surgery, we decided to call Eat 24 to deliver our delicious Indian cuisine. Unfortunately, Eat 24 does not deal with our usual spot, so we looked at the Unilocal reviews and picked Biryani Kabab. Diandra, Emmanuel and I ordered our food, got comfy on the sofa and turned on the TV, Indian food on the way… We ordered the usual: Chicken Tikka Masala Garlic Naan Potato Naan Chicken Tandoori Basmati Rice Though the chicken tandoori was«good,» it was not served with the usual onions and peppers. That was shocking. Then, the rice portion was so tiny that we had to actually make more rice so that all three of us could have even a small portion with our meals. The naan, both kinds, were AMAZING, but I have never had bad naan, anywhere. I cannot speak for the tikka masala, as I did not try this dish, though Diandra and Emmanuel both said it was excellent. My only complaint with Biryani Kabab is the missing onions and peppers from my tandoori and the little portion of rice served in the order. Stephani Kinda Smiles for Biryani Kabab: /

A friend wanted to try this place so I was game, just trying to be out of the box once in awhile! The place isn’t very big but it gets pretty crowded after 12 Noon so get here early. There is complimentary chai tea as well! We ordered the food family style and had the aloo naan and plain naan, lamb tikka kebab, chicken vindaloo and vegetable samosas. The food was all very flavorful and I enjoyed each bite. The lamb was alittle bit on the dry side but tasty nonetheless. The portions were plenty and prices are reasonable.

I came here for lunch on a Tuesday. There were plenty of open tables, and you have the option of dine in or take out. They have lunch specials that rotate every day. I assume they have one chicken, one vegetarian, and one lamb. I ordered the chicken jalfrezi lunch special for 8.99, which includes salad, rice and naan. You also get free chai that’s self serve in the front. This was a huge portion!!! I was pleasantly surprised! Definitely worth the money. There big chunks of chicken, the naan was nice and soft(4 pieces), and the rice was fragrant. The only thing was it was a tad bit greasier than I would have liked, but besides that I enjoyed it! Service was really friendly! Great place to go in downtown Oakland when you’re craving some spice! $ 10 min for credit cards
