Bay Area Dinner Show

Didn’t get a chance to see the whole show, but from what is seen, Dan is a great magician and has a lot of cool tricks up his sleeve. Looking forward to booking a full show

Okay my Unilocal,listen up? I have a public announcement to make lol.
On Memorial day May 26 2015. I had the most joyful, laughable and exciting time of my life at the Bay Area Dinner and Magic Show.
Where do I start? This location is in an excellent quiet secluded area, in china town, close to downtown Oakland near Broadway. It was so pleasant, peaceful and very clean.
F.Y.I. When I goggled the address it gave me 288 9^th street suite 288, I took a cab to that address it does not exist. So I contacted Dan Chan the person who was directing the show and he navigated me right to the restaurant. The correct address is 388 9 Th st. suite 288 located in The Peony seafood Restaurant on the 2^nd floor.
So my friend and I arrived 30 minutes early before show time and we decided to go out and have a cocktail on Broadway. We arrived back at the appointed time which was 6:30 pm for showtime.
When we returned the place was full. We were seated with some very nice people including Dan, his son Kevin who was also performing at 7 years old. So smart intelligent and very entertaining. I was like Wow…
Dan Chan is so down to earth and very personable, We all shared some personal experiences amongst each other about our self’s it was so awesome to be in the presence of this wonderful magician, I was honored.
There were 3 Magicians Dan, Kevin and Cal. and they all did a phenomenal job confusing and making people think very hard about there magic and mystery’s.
I was chosen to participate in the show by reading Q card for Cal, while Cal guessed a paying card number that the other participant was thinking in his head. you got it he guessed it
We were all amazed and very well satisfied. with the awesome delicious food and dessert

Sooooo entertaining!!! Wow! Such a great night filled with laughter, amazement, confusion, delicious food and great company!
I found Bay Area Dinner Show when searching for an entertainer for a corporate holiday party in December and was unable to book a show because I called a week before… my bad. A few weeks later I decided to call Dan Chan about my father’s birthday party and see if he could put on a show in Oakland for us. Dan went above and beyond… really… to coordinate and find a date that worked for my family. He was so accommodating and wonderful to work with. He is a great guy… kind, warm, funny and extremely personable.
The show was wonderful to say the least! He showed us many illusions that truly amazed us and had us talking about it for days! My father who is a sceptic about these kinds of things was thrilled with the performance. We came with a group of 10 people, ages 16 — 60 and everyone enjoyed the show and told me they would go see Dan and his performers again!
My favorite thing about Bay Area Dinner Show is that it’s not just magic or illusions, but a full night of entertainment. Dan makes you laugh, think, participate, work together and play together. I told him at the end of the show that I had seen David Copperfield in Las Vegas last year and in my opinion, Dan’s show was much much more entertaining! Sure… Dan didn’t make a life size vehicle disappear (we were at a restaurant… not a Las Vegas Stage), but the intimacy, participation and seeing tricks I had never seen before was way more fun than sitting in a large auditorium staring at a stage that is so far you can’t believe what you see.
Highly recommended show for a date night, family night, group event, trying something new, or for anything else!

Last night me and my family attended a VIP Magic Show with this amazing cast of magicians! Alex, Fred, and Dan Chan are nothing but simply amazing! You will probably hear the words «amazing» like a bazillion times in this review but thats honestly what it was. Upon arrival you are greeted by these men and they wow and amaze you with magic tricks that make you wonder… wth!!! (but in a good way) I have not laughed or smiled so much during a live show and you cannot beat the delicious multi course meal that was provided with the show as well! Great show, great company, and great food make for an excellent evening out! I loved Peony Restaurant before but now I love it even more because of this show! Me and my family got picked to also be a part of their show and it was so much fun! It was scary in a good way because of the fact that magic is just a total mind blowing experience for me! My mind was definitely blown away! The tricks that you see on TV from Copperfield and others are sometimes questionable to be real or fake or what but seeing the magic tricks live and in front of your face… its undeniable… its amazing! I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a fun night out! Date nights, birthdays, bachelor/​bachelorette parties, team building events, or just need a good laugh and a smile… come out and check this show out! You can find them on goldstar, livingsocial, groupon, their websites… etc. No excuse! You love magic! Check them out! I’m about to enroll in magic school or magic camp because I wanna learn how to wow people like they did with me! Seriously! Bay Area Dinner Show with Dan Chan the Magic Man is a can’t miss! If you go to the show I promise you that you will not be disappointed because they are simply A-​M-​A-​Z-​I-​N-​G!!!
