Bao Ping Zeng

I will be coming back here at least once a month, my body is always so tense from my many jobs and Dr. Judy healed me up, she did tell me to quit working so much and although I would love to, she’s going to have a faithful customer until I make enough for my own private island. I did 90 minutes of acupuncture and cupping and my body felt so loose afterward, it also helped that I had some trees with me ;)

not here to vent — just inform. there are many fantastic reviews here — which is why i went to this acupuncturist. i’ve been to acupuncture many times before so i know how it works in general.
judy is a nice person, i get the sense she really wants to do the work and help. she works hard.
i went in for a sore/​injured forearm — pretty basic for acupuncture. after the whole session i did not feel any relief for the arm. when she asked «how does it feel now», i said «the same».
to note — she barely worked on the arm as she had me all over the table sticking needles, and cupping (which left bruises) in my ear, foot, back, front etc. (i am aware that needling to move chi doesn’t always correlate to the same spot as the injury), however her ‘game-​plan’ to help my arm did not result into anything but a waste of my time to be honest. and so i felt i needed to add this review of my experience.
a few particulars
1. there was absolutely no diagnostics done before treatment. no pulse or tongue read. no history, nothing. i was only asked why i was there, then she went to work
2. she did cupping but did not ask if i was ok with it. they leave bruises for about a week (see photo)
3. place is messy, cluttered and disorganized. doesn’t reflect a clear/​healthy mindset for a health practitioner. thats just an opinion of mine — might be wrong. but her work was as messy as the room.

She is the best acupuncture professional I’ve ever seen in my entire life. Highly recommend. The prices are super low but get ready to see yourself in not a fancy place. But how good she heals is unbeliiveble.

I had really bad back pain, because of stress. This weekend I went to 3 sessions of really intense massages, but even after that I was still sore. On Sunday I went to try acupuncture for the first time with Dr. Judy. After my session I didn’t feel pain at all, the session was very relaxing and dr. Judy is such a sweet lady. I’m definitely going back, when I have any kind of pain.
The place is on Chinatown, it’s a small office divided with curtains.
The price is totally worth it!

Just had a session for an extreme case of Carpal Tunnel where my hand could not move for several days. Kaiser doctor told me just to take Advil for a week. Not good when your whole job relies on being able to program. I booked an appointment and it was awesome. My fingers & flexibility vastly improved after the session. Dr. Judy was very attentive and very thorough. Definitely will be going again.

Amazing! Dr. Judy was wonderful, informative and very helpful with my concerns. This was my first time ever having acupuncture and cupping done. It was painless, soothing and Dr. Judy really used the entire appointment time treating my body. At the end of the appointment she also showed me what to take as well as wrote down the name in English and Chinese .
I highly recommend Dr. Just if you are new or experienced at receiving acupuncture. I will certainly call on her again if/​when the need arises.

I found Judy through Unilocal,and have been coming for her services since 2013. She has released my shoulder pains and other problems, and I also come to her for tune-​up.
Just want to say «Thank you, Judy, for being there».

Ditto to everybody else’s experiences with Dr. Judy! She’s like a magician & a master Benihana chef :) Plus, she will make you feel so cared for and beautiful, too — when she tells me to roll over, she calls me «little girl» (and I’m 51!!!). You will come away a lot more than just a treatment of your ailments. Give her a try!!!
P. S. As of the New Year, the price has gone up to $ 50 now. I wasn’t sure if I should tip her or not because it looks like a clinic, but I suppose she does not expect it. Let your heart decide.

I found myself praying hard during the sessions for all the pain caused by the needles and cups to yield great results, also for the highest Power of the Universe to preserve and bless Dr. Judy abundantly as she is one amazing human being that seems to only want to help others including strangers she never laid eyes on previously.
When I first came, nothing was asked. No insurance, no paper works, nothing, except «Did you finish your breakfast?» Then told me to lay down, and she started working endlessly for the whole session. Never experience this elsewhere. Amazing.
One thing about ‘no questions asked’ though. She thought I was 15 years younger. Good for me, but I wonder if it might be safer to mention your age –if not your name, lol she is that not chitchatty– just in case she needs to adjust her treatments accordingly. Also, upon reading these reviews, I decided to write down all my symptoms on a piece of paper and gave it to her. I’m glad I did it, as it makes me more confident that she got my complaints despite the minimal communication.
As for my results. I can’t say yet that I got that much relieved from my symptoms. They have been with me my whole life so I don’t expect a couple of sessions with Dr. Judy will fix me entirely. I’m confident that they have helped me in the background, and in time with regular treatments, I would feel much better. I definitely experience a sense of well being after each treatment. I love the heat pads she placed from my neck down to my toes! I love getting what I fancy as a motherly care –I’m a mom of two who takes care of others and not really myself.
When I tipped, she refused, saying,“But you have two young kids.” I insisted, and on the way out, she gave me a bag of navel oranges. Dr. Judy is just such a kind soul.

Judy is all everyone says she is! She is extremely focused, no frills, the REAL DEAL! She provides a 90 minute appointment in which she does not stop needling, cupping, heating, rubbing — for 90 minutes!!! It is not fancy – so you are warned. But it’s clean.
I was very, very sick with an infection in my lungs that was also causing extreme joint pain and immobility. By the next day, I was 85% better. the following, I was well enough to return to my life fully.
The cost is $ 50 and I tipped her $ 10. The dedication she puts in was well worth the money! PLUS, SHE WORKS WEEKENDS! For this 9−5er, this is a done deal.

Judy is magic. Go see her. Tip her well. Your life will be better.

Dr. Judy is great. Not only was I able to get an appointment quickly, but I received cupping, acupuncture and massage for the price of a 30 minute massage. Judy worked on my back and alignment issues for at least an hour. I walked out pain free. If you visit, know that she’s all about business. There’s no foofooness going on.
She’s a very focused lady and slap quiet. You will have to walk up a small flight of stairs to get to get office, so if you’re in a lot of pain and have trouble with stairs, give yourself a couple extra minutes.

To keep it simple, Bao is amazing. She cares and knows exactly what she’s doing. Everything good that’s said in all of these reviews is absolutely true!

Dr. Judy is the ACUTE CARE EXPERT of acupuncture! I went to her with a very new and painful shoulder strain (nothing torn!). Her assessment and treatment was amazingly accurate and I regained almost full range of motion within days. Her session was 90 minutues and the attentiveness and thoroughness of her care included cupping, acupuncture needles, acupressure and the use of many heating towels. I was amazed at her rates, too! I gave her a tip which she refused. I am so grateful for her healing services and have an even greater appreciation for Chinese medicine after my session with her.

I read through every single one of the reviews on here, but nothing really prepared me for what I experienced. Although I’d never actually experienced acupuncture or cupping, I had seen my mom get it done so I figured it was NBD.
When I arrived I explained that my back, shoulders, neck, and feet hurt all the time, and she was like, «…So you hurt everywhere?» Yup.
The cupping and acupuncture varies from uncomfortable to painful (depending on the location), I’ll admit, and I have a really high pain tolerance. But you get used to it, and it’s no more than whatever pain you came in with. She is ridiculously strong, but there wasn’t as much massaging as I expected. Just mainly cupping/​acupuncture. I didn’t even really explain exactly where my pains were but somehow SHE KNEW.
What I really wanted to talk about was the mental therapy she provided. I started crying (not from the pain) and was embarrassed, but she was SO encouraging and told me that tears were toxins being released. She also scolded me for not getting enough sleep and putting too much stress on myself. It was like she was looking into my soul, because she brought up many issues in my life/​self that were spot on.
So yes, I’m glad I went because the majority of my pain is gone, but I’m SO grateful for the mental counseling she provided. As one reviewer mentioned before, she truly is a goddess. $ 45 + 10 tip, but worth so much more.

This woman is awesome! She uses acupuncture, cupping, heat pads, and pressure points. You can really tell that she is into healing, not money. She didn’t want to quit till all pain was gone and I could bend. A wiry woman with awesome strength. Other places want you to come back 5−10x.
I’m suffering from major lower back pains that have turned so bad after seeing multiple visits to chiro, pt, acupuncturist, doctors, etc for past 3 weeks. I think I’ve spent over 1k. I was ready to try anything. Judy was recommended by my friend who had sciatica but healed after one visit.
Now I can bend, put on my socks, sit on the toilet and there’s no pain. I still can’t bend fully but she said to see if it goes away in 2 days. So I’ll definitely update but I already feel 100x better.
The guy who came before me had tennis elbow. Usually he gets acupuncture from dad or something but out of town so he came to Judy. He was healed in one session. After he asked, when should I come back and her response is awesome: what for?

I just got home after an A-​M-​A-​Z-​I-​N-​G session with Bao Zeng.
This was my first time seeing her, basing my decision on prior Unilocal reviews. The reviews are SPOT ON! Her office is located on the 2^nd floor in an older wooden building near Chinatown on Webster. Yes, I’ll admit, a bit seedy, the building rickety, and her office IS cluttered but organized, with everything neatly stacked and orderly. She charges $ 45 for 90 minutes of her time. Her English is sparse and a bit broken. Talk slowly, and use few selected words to get across your point. However: Don’t act insulting towards her b/​c she isn’t fluent in your native language.
When I arrived I mentioned to her that my left elbow/​forearm was painful (tennis elbow/​tendinitis). I also told her that I had stiffness between my shoulder blades. She smiled and mentioned that during her session, she works on the ‘whole body’, but she would also concentrate on those areas mentioned.
As others have mentioned, she is diligently applying heat packs, needles, and suction cups the entire time during the 90 minutes. Face down, side, then face up. I will also mention that she has very, very strong thumbs (for such a lithe older lady with such a slight build). She possess the type of strength (in those thumbs) enough to bring on the pain. Very effective and an integral part of her treatment.
At the end of the treatment the tendinitis in my elbow was GONE: I have had this for 3 years. She made it go away in one session! Like I said: Amazing! My stiffness between the shoulder blades also disappeared. Shoulder muscles were loose and relaxed when I left her office.
When she finished, and was paid, I asked her when I might need to return, thinking that a ‘tune-​up’ might be in order. She looked at me strangely, saying
that I need not return, only if I have pain in my body again.
She is not interested in any up-​selling. She knows what she does, and if you do have pain ANYWHERE on your body, you know where to go to make it go away.
She is simply the best!

I’d had acupuncture, but I’ve never had anything like that before. She was very busy working on me, constantly cupping, sticking needles in and out on different places. Her acupressure was really strong. As a result, I was pain free when I walked out the door, but my chronic shoulder pain came back after several hours. I did feel better over all. At the end, she bowed very deeply, saying thank you and nobody has ever done that at least as I remember in US. I found myself doing the same. I haven’t bowed like that in a long time even when I’m back in Japan. I think we’re all forgetting being thankful and I respect that.

Straight forward acupuncture and cupping treatment, she want right for the pain in my neck/​shoulders, while also unearthed and helped to heal carpal pain in my wrist, and a sore heal. She also somehow connected pain in my left shin to my stomach (!?).
$ 45 for 90 minute session (I’ll see if Kaiser covers it and update). She spent the whole session adjusting, resetting cups and needles onto disparate sections of my body, and commanding me with «handsome boy, you sit up now/​lift your arms/​etc.»

I’ve been seeing Judy for 2 years now and today was the first time seeing a sign that said «please no pictures or video out of respect for privacy»…
***COME ON NEWBIES, don’t ruin it for the rest of us who are here to get some relief. Put your phone away and be mindful and respect Judy’s expertise. Sheesh!
Today’s visit was for a kinked neck that’s been lingering and giving me a headache for the past 2 weeks. Judy spent a lot of time with the needles, cupping, hot pads, acupressure that helped to alleviate the pain… hopefully, i’ll wake up tomorrow the way i left her office… wonderful!
