My name is Samoia Johnson and I lost my mom Terana Hannon on August 5, 2015, It was unexpected, and the place where she had pass was really on us about getting her body… so my auntie called Bakers and spoke with Mr. Roy Northington and without any heistations his staff was on their way to pick up my mom body… I called him later that day and he was very compassianted and informed that I did not have to rush… When my family and I went to the Mortuary to meet Mr. Northington and do the arrangement, from the 1st hello I was at ease… he made my family and I very comfortable and understood that as the only child this was a heavy load… yes he had other things to handle but not once during our meeting did he rush us. He then introduced us to the staff that will be along side of him to make sure that my mom homegoing went off without any problems. The day of the Quiet hour he was again was there and he took his time with me and that was the best feeling ever. The young man whom prepared her for viewing was Excellent, the Limo driver good… and the staff that was there on the day of her homegoing did something that meant the world to me… after the service was over he closed all doors at let me have some mommie and daughter time for the last time(teary eyes writing this)…he neva came in til I told him I was ready… I jus want to thank them all The Family of Terana R. One of the eye openers relating to my small town upbringing was doing a service call here for the computer company I worked for back in the 80’s. Walked into the place and saw an 11 year old laid out in a casket and asked the director what he died of,(thinking disease or accident). Was told he was shot in the back during a drug deal . This was in the mid 80’s. This same bullshit is still going on and still being glorified in gangster lifestyle. What the music biz won’t sell to make a buck. Go ahead, just keep on keeping it real.

I have never been more appalled in all my life! When on God’s green earth did mortuaries start rolling open caskets back and forth in front of the family and pressing the casket against the front pew to make you view the body!!! It was beyond upsetting and inconsiderate! Plus…the body looked nothing like he did when he died or was alive! Don’t take your loved ones here!!!
