I went to the Westwood location of American Woman for five years before switching to this one when I moved to Mahwah. I’m really disappointed with this one. They don’t have all of the machines I’m used to seeing, and many of the ones they do have are old. I feel like this location really caters to the crowd that only wants to take classes. Westwood is also far cleaner. Bonus points for being all women and for having so much parking, and everyone I’ve dealt with at the front desk is nice and helpful. It just really needs a refresh :(

Amazing gym! I love all the classes. Front desk girls are so sweet. Pool and sauna in the back are great!

When I was in elementary school, we planned my birthday party here. I was really excited to have a pool party because my birthday is in November.
On the day of the party, we got there and it was closed. Then my friends showed up ready for the party but no one was there to let us in. We waited but no one ever came. We ate birthday cake outside of the gym and everyone went home.
Even though it was a long time ago, it was a really horrible experience that has stayed with me. When my mom called later the staff told her it must have been our mistake and they would never have scheduled a party on that date.

The treadmill room in Oakland was 75 degrees this evening! I’ve complained on three occasions this summer when it was 72 and 73. This is beyond ridiculous. It’s very obvious these people don’t give a damn about their clients well being.
Is it possible to, give zero stars. I’ve been a member for 12 years and I’m totally fed up. I like a woman’s gym… that’s why I’ve stayed so long
