Yes, Dr. Ravandoust has mostly 5 stars, and I only went to her for a consult, but I just think it is absolutely wrong and unprofessional to leave a patient waiting 45 minutes. They told me she was stuck in traffic and would be there in 5 minutes after I’d been waiting quite a while. When she arrived she said that my appointment really started 15 minutes later than my arrival time, and she wasn’t «going to argue with me about it» (I wasn’t arguing)…but still… it was at least a 45 minute wait. Really? Just happy I have a regular amazing dentist and don’t have to go back there.

I have to give Dr. Ravandoust another great review for the same procedure. I returned today to my regular dentist so that I could be fitted for a crown, my dentist called Endocare for my X-​Rays and upon reviewing them she immediately complimented Dr. Ravandoust work. As patients we have no idea really how a procedure went, you just know how it feels and what the doctor tells you, but when you have a neutral party repeatedly comment on the quality of the work, on something they see everyday it really puts your mind at ease. Not to mention it was another Dentist Dr. Perry that originally referred me, so it’s not like my dentist knows Dr. Ravandoust. Another thing that I really enjoyed, and it might be a wierd thing, but unless your an elder I prefer for people to address me in the manner that they want to be addressed, meaning if you’re comfortable enough to be on a first name basis with me, shouldn’t I be on a first name basis with you? When Dr. Ravandoust introduced herself, she introduced herself by her first name and not Dr. which I felt showed a lot of respect and made it more like talking to a friend and not a dentist. (This may just be my backwards way of thinking)

I’ve had two root canals from other endodontists in the last 15 years, and Dr. Rezai’s was by far the easiest root canal experience. Dr. Rezai was able to see me soon after my dentist contacted him about my toothache. Office staff was prompt, Margit the assistant was reassuring, and Dr. Rezai is blessed with good communication skills as well as technical skills. The whole procedure was much less angst-​ridden than my previous encounters with other endodontists.

I was referred here by my general dentist with an infection in my old root canal. The clinic was clean, the receptionist Amina was friendly, and the overall atmosphere was professional and positive. Dr. Shinbori came in the room and evaluated my infection. She seemed very knowledgeable and professional– I knew I was in good hands. When she worked on my tooth, she was very gentle and calm; I felt relaxed during the entire operation (which has never happened before!) I could tell she was very focused and mindful of all the details. I really have never had a better dental experience! Thank you Dr Shinbori! I am very glad I came to Endocare.

I had an extremely positive experience with Dr. Shinbori and her assistant Margit at the Oakland location. I also went to their Alameda office since I had two visits, and the staff there was great too. I needed an emergency root canal and the endodontist who my dentist normally refers me to could not see me for a week (and that would only be for a consultation). I called my dentist again for another referral since I was in so much pain and they gave me the number for Endocare. They made a consultation appointment for me right away and reserved time the following day for a procedure. Dr. Shinbori ended up doing the procedure for me the same day as my consultation. The entire staff is professional, friendly and non-​judgmental. Dr. Shinbori did an awesome job. I have had other root canal procedures and I feel that Endocare’s rates are very reasonable.

I tell you, I’m as surprised as anyone to be writing a 5-​star for (of all things) a root canal!
I’ve had some really subpar experiences with a few dentists in the Oakland area this past year, so I was extremely nervous and very weary of dental professionals and procedures. But, after work from another dentist, my tooth went from ok, to painful, to unbearably painful to (sadly) dead in a matter of a few months. My only options were extraction or root canal — and I was on the fence until I sat down in Dr. Yasaman Ravandoust’s chair.
I reluctantly shared all of my concerns about having a root canal including concerns that it could result in major health issues in other parts of my body later on down the road.
Dr. Ravandoust listened intently and answered each of my concerns thoughtfully and thoroughly. She really put me at ease.
Dr. Ravandoust was really awesome! I ended up having two visits. Each one was comfortable and quick (about 45 min each). I got to choose my own Pandora station and Dr. Ravandoust loved it so much, she now keeps it in her rotation! (The station is Jazzanova, btw). :)
Everyone in the office is polite and professional from Evelyn in the front office to Margit, the Dental Assistant. Something I really appreciate in a dental office receptionist, besides a friendly demeanor, is that they go over your treatment plan and bill in detail. Evelyn did that, and everyone is just great at their jobs.
There is a reason this place gets so many 5-​star reviews. They are the truth!
I hope I never have to see them again, but if I do — I will run (not walk) back to this office and Dr. Ravandoust…

I must say, Dr. Rezai and her staff went above and beyond to accommodate my husband & I’s tricky root canals and even trickier schedules. We had to squeeze in emergency dental work right before an international move and they made it happen with a smile!
We couldn’t believe the professionalism and laid back demeanor of this office.
Margit was there to talk me through the procedure and helped make me feel at ease.
I can’t say enough good things about our experience.

I have been to the 34^th St., Oakland Office 3 times and each has been a positive experience. The front office and support staff are relaxed, friendly and made me feel at ease. Dr. Nicole Shimbori did the retreatment of one of my root canals and she was excellent. I always felt I was in experienced and professional care with genuine concern that I understand the process and what the results might be. I was fully informed in a clear and complete manner. There was no pain or undue discomfort during or after the procedures. I recommend this office highly.

Let’s face it, if you’re paying Dr. Rezai a visit, chances are it’s not for any good reason (root canal, oral surgery etc.). However, rest assured that you will have one of the best Endodontist in the area providing you treatment. Dr. Rezai has a plethora of knowledge in the work that he does and the way each procedure feels like routine to him, really helped ease my nerves when I came in for treatment (s). The staff are also awesome and very helpful, especially Margit (Dental Assistant) and Evelyn (Reception) who always follows up the next day to see how I was doing. Overall, great experience and really good to know there is a team nearby that is ready for your complicated dental needs.

I have been here twice and each time have been treated with exceptional care. The receptionist are always responsive, welcoming and kind. Thank you to Evelyn for her service! Dr. Shinbori is an excellent provider that was always concerned with my comfort during both of my root canals. She is kind, comforting and efficient. Her assistant Margit made me feel relaxed and played disco to lighten the mood. Root canals are never fun or easy but the staff at Endocare make the overall experience much easier! This a wonderful place to go if you are lucky enough to ever need a root canal!

Was a little anxious going in to get my second root canal. Dr. Rezai and his dental assistant Margit were very professional. I won’t say it was a pleasure, but it was quick, easy and painless. And the price was very reasonable. If I need specialist dental treatment again, I’ll be going back.

I have been a patient of Dr, Rezai for many years now. Honestly, I can’t imagine that an endodontist could be any better. Dr. Rezai is extremely skilled, efficient, helpful, patient and friendly. I honestly feel so fortunate to have found him and appreciate him so much. When you are dealing with your teeth, it’s so good to have someone like Dr. Rezai in your corner. The office staff are friendly and helpful as well.

Unreal the best Endodontist care I have received. It was my second time there the first time 8 yrs ago. Professional, warm and caring. I am a congestive heart patient and somewhat paranoid about procedures but the root canal today was so cool, and I so grateful for mu dentist referring me to this excellent office. I was presented with options, and a full description of what was about to take place and my anxiety went away. Dr. Shimbori and her assistant Jennifer felt like my «homegirls» by the time I left.

I had a great experience at Endo Care. I had a root canal done by Dr. Ravandoust today. It went really fast and smoothly. And while obviously a root canal is not a fun experience, they made me as comfortable as possible and it didn’t hurt.
The doctor was super nice and explained everything. The whole staff was helpful. The price seemed fair. Overall it went so much easier and better than I had anticipated. I would give them 10 stars if I could.

Dr. Nicole —- She was the nicest dentist I’ve ever met. So calm, pleasing and makes you feel secure that she knows what she’s talking about. She never gave me a vibe of intimidation unlike other dentists that I have encountered in the past. She has very light hands and I didn’t feel any pain. She wasn’t rushing and you can see that she still have that passion within her. She took her time and meticulously checked everything. She never failed asking me if I was alright during the process. She was even joking around and thus made me feel more relaxed! I have two more root canal procedures and for sure I would want to be under her care again! You are the BEST!
Summer —- She helped me calm my nerves. We were chatting away while we were waiting for the numbness to start. She was very attentive with whatever I need. She followed instructions very well from Dr. Nicole. Her personality was just perfect because I knew I was in good hands! She also put some spa/​zen music to help me.
Over all rating? If I could have 10 stars on here I would click that! I went to my other dentist today for my temporary crown. I told them to endorse all patients to Endocare Oakland!

I was having a lot of pain on the right side of my jaw and had trouble locating the exact tooth/​cause. Went into my dentist and she referred me to the EndoCare Oakland office, with Dr. Shinbori. They were able to schedule me for the following day– which was great since I was in a lot of pain. It’s common for me to experience difficulty in getting numb with anesthesia, and so I mentioned this ahead of time. Dr. Shinbori took great care and awareness of this. Unfortunately, the tissue under my tooth was inflamed and I also had unique roots to my tooth– making my case extra challenging and tedious. During previous root canals, I’ve had dentists become very frustrated with this, and it reflected in their procedure. I really appreciate Dr. Shinbori’s carefulness, patience, and persistence. She did amazing and exemplified that she really wanted to do the best job she could.

In so much pain when I arrived, Deb totally took care of me! She and Dr. Gulden are so warm and accommodating, I was able to calm down. Dr. Gulden is such a pleasant surprise; making me comfortable while she explained the procedure. Talking to me the whole time so I could relax. She is a real pro! It is not accidental that the entire operation is first-​class from the first phone call in to the last follow-​up.
Originally, referred to the Oakland office, their staff called back right away to say there was an earlier opening in the Orinda office if I didn’t wan’t to wait a couple more hours for Oakland. Did I want to take that opening? Imagine, that kind of service. These are people who actually care. What a concept.

At my last check-​up, my dentist informed me that one tooth with a deep filling would need a root canal in the near future. I delayed. A few months later, I happened to run my tongue on my gumline where it touches in the inside of my lip, and found a lump there, it was infected and the tooth was dying.
I had to schedule an ASAP root canal with Dr. Rezai. The procedure was painless. Dr. Rezai and all of his staff were genuinely helpful, friendly, and informative when I had questions. Dr. Rezai himself explained his findings and the process he was going to take to perform the root canal.
We discussed other things of personal interest, as well, but when it came down to the procedure it was quick and painless. It took under an hour, and he told me that due to the infection he was placing medication within the now-​emptied area of my tooth, sealing it, and allowing the area to heal until completing the procedure with the actual filling material that is placed where the pulp was. In my particular case this was included in the full procedure (I.E., the cost did not change). Already by the next day the lump was less than half the size it was before I got the root canal. The day after, it was gone completely. I will be back in another week to undergo the final part of the process.
There was no question throughout the entire appointment as to what was going on, how much it would cost, and next steps, and that is exactly how it should be with a quality health professional. Highly recommended!

I was fortunate enough to be seen by Ali Rezai DDS at his Oakland, Walnut Creek, and Orinda offices.
He agreed to see me on short notice when I was in a lot of pain and over the next few months performed 2 root canals. He is highly skilled and a great communicator. The staff and assistants at each office are knowledgeable, friendly and professional. They are right on top of scheduling, insurance, and follow up after each procedure.
If you’re looking for superior care in the East Bay, I would highly recommend Dr Rezai and associates at Endocare.

Everyone here is fantastic! Had a root canal done by Dr. Shinbori and what a cool, skilled, and professional person. Assistant Marjit and Receptionist Lisa were great as well. Everyone is very warm and funny making for a very comfortable experience. They even let me choose the music and had it ready to go the next time I was there.
Highly recommended.
