Came here because Dr. Bieber was the assigned dentist under the my insurance plan(Healthplex). I was pretty happy to see that it was close to my neighborhood and slightly amused by his last name… sadly, everything else went downhill from there. The facility is located in a residence. It’s a small office with a waiting area, a tiny office where the paperwork is done, and a patient room just big enough to fit all the equipment. And the equipment… it’s what nightmares of the dentist are made of… old, splattered with stains(dried toothpaste? hard water stains?)…eek. It wasn’t the most pristine of environments. As I sat in the chair awaiting the arrival of my dentist, I looked around at the tools and felt pangs of fear.(I have never been scared of the dentist or getting my teeth checked INMYLIFE up until that moment). By the time my x-rays started, I was already racking my brain for ways to get outta there. Dr. Bieber’s bedside manner also left a lot to be desired. He was in a rush. To be fair, he said he had a meeting to get to. But for me to leave work early in order to make the appointment(at 430pm on a weekday)… only to have him have enough time to quickly glance over my xrays was disappointing. He was impersonal which only added to the cold vibe I was getting from the place. In the end, I wasn’t able to schedule another appointment that would work with his schedule(How does one squeeze in dentist appointments if the office hours end promptly before I even get out of work… sigh). Maybe he was a brilliant dentist, but between the intimidating facility and his attitude, I didn’t care to wait and find out. To be honest, I was relieved that I had to go elsewhere…
