Ice Palace

Ice Palace Inc. Really nothing special here; my banana ice tasted like plain ol’ ice but, the granny apple was decent… the rest is the usual however, not much to choose from.

Rode bikes 15 minutes from sayville and arrived at 10:05. Disappointed to find out they closed at 10pm. Told the owner that we drove all the way there and was surprised that he didn’t offer to stay open the extra 5 minutes since he was there anyway. We rode past 3 other places on our way. We won’t be returning due to poor customer service.

Well I used to really like this place but now they DON’T HAVE ICE CREAM ANYMORE :(soft serve with brownie dough toppings used to be my favorite after walking there with my wife for years, some of the best soft serve in town. I guess we’ll have to find somewhere else

They have a million combinations of ice creams, ices, and cream ices, thousands of toppings — and you can mix everything any way you want! I love that a lot of their stuff is totally original, like the Funfetti Cupcake Cream Ice, or that you can put fruity pebbles on your ice cream!
The service is always good, prices are great, and the courtyard area is beautiful on a warm summer night.

Wow, what a find! I saw a giant ice cream cone hanging out over the road and suddenly had a craving for ice cream. I tried the chocolate soft serve with toasted coconut, which was delicious. The soft serve had just the right amount of chocolate and a super creamy flavor to it. There was about 6 inches of soft serve swirled on to my cone. That’s a pretty healthy serving. The toasted coconut was shredded really, really fine, which was a bit off for my texture seeking mouth, but was still delicious. They serve their cones with this little plastic sort of cover with a rim that prevents the ice cream from melting down your hand and catches any toppings that may fall off. This is certainly one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen (see picture). I also tried the black raspberry italian ice. This was really delicious. Super fine ice with chunks of black raspberry in it. Excellent fruity flavor, not really sweet, just the sweetness of the fruit. It was outstanding. The prices are average and well worth it. The location itself is fabulous! Again, see pictures. They have an outdoor sitting area with tables and umbrellas, lot’s of lovely foliage and flowers and it was very clean. The guy working there was very nice and accommodating, even especially patient while I decided what I wanted. I also picked up some GIANT jawbreakers for a friends kids. I hope they like them!

This place not only has a wider assortment of ice flavors, they have «dippin dots» and other crème’s… AND YOU CAN MIX FLAVORS unlike that bastard Sayville Ice House down the God Damned road!
And look at this place: its set up like a mini house, complete with a courtyard to sit and relax under color umbrella’s!!!
If this Oakdale Icehouse had to fight the Sayville Ice house, this one would kick it’s a$$!!
