Very impressed with the service I received from here recently. I purchased a bike so my son and I could do riding together, and I have not ridden since high school. Having trouble with the disc brakes, I brought my bike in. Service was fast and staff was extremely friendly. They showed me how to do the adjustments, and prices were extremely fair. Will definitely be coming back.

Gateway has been great the last two years since moving I moved to the area. The helped in selecting a great bike for my eight year old, finding parts for my old 90’s mountain bike and directing me to the tools I needed to maintain all my family’s bikes.

Gateway Cycle isn’t as well-​known as the more «centrally» located stores in St. Paul-​Minneapolis, but stop here if you want service done right. They trued my back wheel without charge when I told them it was rubbing on the brake pad. Also, they’re right by the Gateway Trail, one of the best bike trails in the Metro!

very arrogant shop and owner. I rehabbed a bike and bought a new dérailleur from them. After about 2 weeks, the main rivet snapped clean and the assembly got into the rear wheel. I went to exchange it for a new one and the floor guy, the owner and I had a major discussion about my assembly skills. They didn’t care that I had assembled more bikes than any of those kids working in the back (I did it for a living back in college).
Went down the road on Century and bought another one and spent all my money there for my remaining time in MN

I wasn’t an insider (regular customer) when I walked with a flat tire and broken chain. This seemed to be a big deal to them. Maybe I just caught them at a bad moment, but I wasn’t in a rush and I wasn’t squeezing for a deal. I guess being on a bike that didn’t look like the bikes on the showfloor was a negative for me here.
