Well, this must be a «wing first» restaurant. As the burger I ordered was less than impressive(the Rick«Superfrico» James) great name but it didn’t hold up to expectations. I only ordered this because of the recommendation from the girl at the register. This burger was absolutely tasteless the onion rings were too greasy(fryer most likely set at the wrong temp) for me this was less than what was expected. Not sure if I’ll return. Too bad, I was hoping for a better experience.

Dang! The wings and burgers are seriously good! My girlfriend and I were in heaven. I looked like a champ for picking such a great place for food. Nailed it! I wish they were open later. Sometimes I crave their wings at 11pm. Yum! Oh! And the best French fries I’ve had in a long time! :)

I heard good things and thought I’d stop by and give it a try. I’m somewhat of a spice junkie, so I tried both the Brimstone(Barbecue glaze) and Witch Doctor(dry rub), both of which are Trinidad Scorpion based wings. Both were very delicious and not at all greasy. The Witch Doctor wings were slow to scorch and when they kicked in, they satisfied my capsaicin craving, whereas the Brimstones only had a healthy kick with a touch of sweetness. All-in-all, this place rocks and I will definitely be back to try other flavors. Great service and friendly staff.

I wavered between 4 and 5. It’s mostly my own fault. We showed up on a busy Saturday and had to wait a half hour to get our order in and then had to wait for 40 or so minutes to get it. The wings are incredible. Tons of flavor, done perfectly, juicy and sweet. Be careful of the hot wings. I’ve been eating hot wings for decades. I had a moment when I wasn’t sure if my medical insurance would cover an ambulance ride. Valar morghulis. Almost forgot, the burgers, fries, and rings are top notch. And for some odd reason, the soda fountain is fantastic and the beer selection is no joke.

This place is Legit! Been wanting to come here for the last year or so as I’m the self proclaimed wing king… If they’re on the menu at a restaurant, I’ll try them. It seems my never ending quest for the perfect wing has come down to three restaurants. Obviously based on my rating this is one of them. I’m a chili head so I like my food as spicy as possible, and this place so far has delivered. They have roughly 80 sauces on the menu and they’re all made from scratch… none of that bottled crap. The wings come out with a ton of sauce(damn you bdubs!), and insanely hot as they’re fresh out of the fryer. They’re also good sized wings for a change(again, damn you bdubs!). I absolutely love the ordering style at this restaurant. A good analogy would be Culvers. You go to a counter, look over the menu, place your order, and they give you a number to place at the table. It’s simple, no fuss, and the food comes out pretty quick. You’re basically eliminating the middle man of lost time. No sitting down and waiting for your server to bring out a drink menu, no waiting around for them to come back and take your order, no waiting for them to put it into the computer system… just one quick and easy step. One easy way to judge wings is to order their traditional buffalo style chicken wings. If they can’t get that right, then they obviously don’t know what they’re doing. Their buffalo sauce is spot on and only beaten by Runyons. But unlike Runyons, they take it to the next level by experimenting with all sorts of flavors. Spicy to sweet to downright unique they have it covered. I’m currently working my way up the spice categories. Now just to put things in perspective, IF I’m at bdubs I always order blazin’, and more recently the reformulated blazin’ which is even hotter. I don’t need dips or water to get through them, just a nice burn followed up with another one of their other sauces. The last two flavors I’ve had from D’spot is witch doctor and black venom. They’re certainly hot, but I can’t tell a significant difference spice wise from the reformulated blazin’. I only have two sauces to go, Seppuku and Seizonsha which for both I have to call ahead 24 hours for. I’ll update my review for how those go. I think the hottest wing I’ve ever had thus far is the 666 wings from Smalley’s bbq in Stillwater. I’m guessing D’spot will take the crown though… we’ll see. To sum it up, if you love wings as I do… this place is an absolute must!

This was the second time we had the opportunity to enjoy D-Spot wings. The wings, staff, vibe, and venue are all perfect. If you consider yourself a serious wing consuming enthusiast, this place NEEDS to be on your bucket list. Wings ranging from your typical honey BBQ all the way to PB&J wings. I personally recommend the Nacho Average Wing, they must be a new addition within the last year but it was a symphony of flavors that my tastebuds thoroughly enjoyed. Honestly though, I think it would be hard for anyone to find a wing that doesn’t taste remotely good coming out of this establishment.

I second Dave O. and Joe D.‘s review. Horrible customer service. We ordered for pickup and we were charged an extra percentage because they were«busy,» plus they overcharged us on many of the items we ordered. When we told them about the mistake they did not apologize. If you want to pay the most money you’ve ever paid for wings and get treated terribly, D-spot is the place for you.

Horrible customer service! Ordered wings with co-workers for pick up and they charged a 15% «gratuity» fee. This is not stated on website. When we told them that they overcharged us for our wings they didn’t apologize and are making us drive back in to get our refund(which is a gift card that we will never use because of the horrible customer service).

So, for starters, the new location is waay nicer than the old place. The service was prompt and friendly, and my wings(carry out) were ready right on time. These guys have a ton of flavors, and they’re really passionate about their stuff. The downside is that by doing so many flavors they can be hit and miss. For example, while the Szechwan and Buffalo bill were both fantastic, the Tarantula was average and Reese’s just didn’t work for me at all(and I enjoy sweet and savory/salty) Also their blue cheese dip could use some work. But, that being said, totally love the place, and I have a lot more flavors to try!

Best wing place ever. Toxic avengers is my favorite, salsa verde and Voodoo are some more to try. Level 1 spice is great. But if you don’t like spice, do not try this. I tried these ones, friends literally cried. For people who like to live on the edge, go for Level2 and Level3, never tried but heard it’s just scary spicy. You can keep coming here and trying different wings and you will still wanna come back.

Yes! A unique place in the suburbs! Awesome wings, if you like spicy wings, you should try the«puff the magic dragon»! I’ll be back and so will our crew who just moved in down the block!

Decent wing quality, but the tremendous number of flavors help make up for it. We stopped by to have lunch on a Saturday, and we split the lalapalooza(lavender), tarantula(soy), magic dry rub, and the rougarou. The sauces had a nice flavor, but the chicken was generally a bit dryer than I would have liked. They’re definitely not kidding around about the spice level, just as a heads up. It’s probably not a destination location for fried chicken, but the vast assortment of sauces makes for a good meal.

Trust me, you want the D… so good!!! We had a table full of burgers, wings, fries, and onion rings. Everything was FANTASTIC!!! The large order fries and onion rings were large enough to share with our table. Large portions. Tons of left overs.

I came here by myself. Actually, if I am not at a wings place with my hubby then I much prefer dining by myself. Why? That’s because I love to chew on the tendons and gnaw on the bones to suck the flavor of it. I prefer not to gross my co workers out with my true colors that shine when I am chewing on some wings! This is the second time I have been here over lunch. I remembered that I really liked my wings during the first time. I think I had their dry rub dessert heat and another flavor. This time around, hmmm not so much. I ordered the buffalo sauce wings. They had really strong vinegar taste, my mouth puckered with each bite and at the end of it all, my lips were numbed. I won’t order this sauce again, but I will definitely like to try all their other fun sauces available. The minimum order is six wings. I wanted to get half and half sauces but he said that is not possible because the sauce is made to order and they toss it in with the wings in small batches. I still don’t know what he really meant. They cook their sauce for each order? I think he meant they heat up the sauce individually. The wings could be crispier. The size of the wings are great. I think I am still sticking with BWW.

We eat here on the regular. I love supporting indepenent restaurants like this place. I like my wings savory so Country Fried or Honey Butter are my go to options. My husband orders the Four Season like it’s his job. I’ve also tried their Luciann burger, California style and it was phenomenal. If the owner reads these reviews, keep up the great work! Your staff is friendly and I can tell your kitchen is getting better with the ticket times. ***My only recommendation would be to pay more attention to cleaning/bussing tables in your dining room, especially during busy rushes where the turnover of patrons is high.*** :)

I advise you for your comfort to stay away from the hot wings, level 1, or 2, and definitely not death row level 3 and 4. I only tried level 1 hot, the el loco, it’s been 20 hours since I’ve eaten them and my stomach is still burning! It warms you like taking a shot of whiskey at first, but then never goes away. This place has been on my radar for a few months. I’ve driven by often. I was in the area with coworkers, two dudes, and thought what’s better than messy wings for some grown ass men for lunch? The restaurant is large, with a front and back area. Nothing special on décor, but it’s open and inviting. Pretty busy for Thursday lunch time too, most of the front seating area was full with burly men. That’s a good sign. Yep, the sauce list is enormous, over 100 sauces. We had to ask for recommendations. We ordered fries and off of the spicy list we tried the tarantula, Incredible Hulk, jerk dry rub, puff the magic dragon, and off of the hot list, just the level 1 hot el loco. We didn’t even notice the«comfort» or «sweet» wings list until we sat down. The wait was slightly long but we had a big order and they said sauces were made to order, not sure how much I believe that part, but that was fine. It was worth the wait. They have a house seasoning on their fries, DELICIOUS! The wings were cooked perfectly. All of the sauces were great, even the ass burning el loco, that’s why I ate two of those. Should have stuck to one damnit. Whhhyyy??! My favorite for sure was puff the magic dragon, but seriously, the rest of the sauces were amazing too. No blue cheese or ranch required at all! I saw a sweet beer list on tap when I sat down, the list was at the side of the bar out of view when placing food orders. I’m not sure if you order beer at the bar only, or with the person that brings your food, or with the person taking your food order. I will surely find out next time. I’d like to eventually try all of the sauces. I’ve got my to go menu and my next round of sauces already picked out. Oh, and I thought service was excellent too. See you soon D-Spot.

This is my ultimate go-to joint and now that they have beer on tap I wish I could give them a sixth star! If you are expecting immediate fast food please save the table space for those of us that appreciate fresh made artisan creations and don’t mind the wait as we enjoy conversation with our friends and family. Burger King is just down the road, I’m sure you’ll be pleased there. Darin and his crew have never failed to deliver on amazing tasty wings(and a burger or two) while we have been there. We regularly enjoy the D-Spot and will continue to do so in anticipation of even more flavor creations!

I did not like this place at all. The wings were sub par for the price, and the waitresses did not give good service. I don’t like to give bad reviews very often, unless extremely warranted, however I would not go back to this location.

I have eaten at D-Spot about once a month(or more) since they opened and I have always been a big fan. Whatever sort of flavors you are in the mood for, D-Spot will certainly have something for you. Plus, their burgers are absolutely wonderful. It’s hard to leave this place not feeling full. In recent visits, however, the quality has been extremely hit or miss. What you loved the last time you were here might only be mediocre the next time. The southern fried wings have been some of the best wings I have ever had, and they have also been horribly overbreaded and lacking in flavor. The variations in quality and spice levels can be extremely frustrating, especially when it used to be solid on every item every time we visited. I’m not sure if it is a staffing issue, but D-Spot really needs to improve its consistency. I hate saying that this place used to be better, but at least in terms of consistency and reliability, it really was. I will keep trying and hoping for better results in the future.

So a buddy of mine says we gotta hit this place up for lunch. F B-dubs I’m told, lets go here for some wings. I’m on board with the first part of the statement, so I agree. Ample parking at Bergen Plaza, fear not with that. Has an area up front for you to take a menu and go through the vast assortment of wings. The staff is more than helpful if you can’t decide and need help narrowing down the spicy to sweet spectrum, just ask. I roll with 6 chipotle bbq wings, a small basket of fries, and a double 50⁄50(burger with bacon ground into it) with provolone. He rolls with 6 widow maker wings and the Rick«superfrico) James — parmesan ricotta frico, provolone cheese, garden aiol. Get a number, pop a squat and wait. The wings are a bit bigger than your average wings, so that was a plus. Flavor wise, way better. The sweet heat was very good on the wings. They also weren’t over fried or under fried which is always a plus. In the grand scheme of things, the wings were solid. The burger was far beyond better than I thought it’d be. Good quality meat, cheese was flavorful, and even the bun being served upside down was a nice touch. I thought the tomato aioli it came with was a bit of a miss though. Just didn’t do the burger any justice, and added a flavor that didn’t really belong. I think a touch of a sweeter ailoi or a sweeter bbq sauce might have done the burger better justice. Still, really good though. Fries took a bit of time and were lost in the kitchen, but finally arrived. The special yellow sauce is a nice touch that was way better than simple ketchup. Also, the size was fantastic. Small easily covered both of us eating machines. All in all, a solid place that I can’t wait to hit up again and swing through more wing flavors and burgers.

Y’all know I love chicken wings so this is one of my top wing picks in the Twin Cities. At first, this place is kind of overwhelming because there are like a hundred wing sauce/seasoning combinations, but once you find that perfect combination of sauces, D-spot is addicting and will be the wings that appear in your dreams. If you are a newbie, I would suggest just working with the cashier to find out which wings are most popular based on your preferences.i.e. tell them you like spicy wings or sweet wings and they will lead you into the right direction. I’m a sweet/salty/spicy wing person myself so my favs are the Tarantula wings which are tossed in soy glaze, roasted garlic, chili, dry rub, and fried garlic. Their burgers are pretty decent as well. Last time I went, I had the Emma James which is a burger with smoked pancetta, fried egg, and harissa aioli. The wings come out fairly fast there’s plenty of seating now that they have their new location. If you are with another person, the HALF sized sides are MORE than enough. They are very generous with their portions. Parking is ample and the prices are great for the amount of food you are receiving. If you like wings and want to jump off of the buffalo or honey bbq wagon, this is the perfect place for you.

It gets kind of crowded here when you walk in and everyone is trying to order. Sometimes the lines get mixed up and people don’t know if they’re in the dine in or take out line. So after reading many reviews, I’ve prepared myself to wait 30 – 45 mins for food. I came in at 8pm and ordered at 8:10pm. My food comes out at 9:20pm. Which makes me feel super unimpressed. They close at 10pm here, so it makes me feel like they’re rushing me out when the food gets out an hour before they close. We got the: Puff the magic dragon: Pachadi: Black widow: 50⁄50 double burger w/pepper jack: Season fries: Customer service: Well, I can say their food is delicious. I definitely don’t come here for the customer service. 2⁄5 stars for customer service. For reals! They check to make sure you’ve got the right order, then dip out. They don’t care how long you’ve waited. Even if it’s longer than an hour. No apologies.

This is my second visit and it will definitely not be my last. I fall more in love with D-Spot every time! SO many different choices. While I agree with others that the way you order is a bit awkward and could use work, the staff is passionate about their wings and super friendly. I love chatting with them and giving their suggestions a try. If ever there was a place appropriate for an opinionated staff, a wings joint is one of them. I actually think having ipads on the tables for ordering might work well for this type of place, especially given the huge number of options. WiFi would also be a nice addition, since the building eats cell service. Current favorites: Black Widow, Incredible Hulk, French Toast(I may have licked the sauce from the plate on this one… don’t judge), and Billy the Kid. My husband also loved the PB&J.
