On the spur of the moment we stopped in for tickets for that night’s performance. The box office seemed annoyed to have to help us. As we were an hour early for the performance we sat in the lounge area and ordered water while we decided what to order. We were told that if we didn’t order anything we would need to leave. At the same time the gentleman vacuuming the floor waited for us to get up and move. Had we not already bought tickets we would have left. This was our second visit and both times we were treated rudely. It is unlikely we will ever return.

My husband and I had our wedding at Drury Lane on May 20, 2016. It was the wedding of our dreams!!! Since the wedding, I feel that it is my duty, whenever I can, to highly recommend this venue!!! From the moment you enter the facility, you step into a classy and gorgeous environment. Kara, my coordinator was unbelievably amazing and sooooooo helpful with EVERYTHING! The staff is professional and courteous, and above all very caring and attentive towards making our day a special and memorable one! I cannot say enough positive things about Drury Lane. When you see what is offered and available to you, you will see that it is the best bang for your buck in the Chicagoland area!!! The food is UNREAL!!! Guests are still talking about the food quality and that the food was the best tasting at any wedding attended. Guests with NOT leave hungry and the drinks are flowing aplenty! It was truly the wedding of our dreams and the most perfect day! And the chandeliers!!! STUNNING! We had our ceremony in the Venetian Room and the the reception in the Crystal Ballroom. I would highly recommend booking these two rooms! And the venue is perfect since the Hilton Suites and Garden Inn bookend this venue! Everything is right there! Thank you thank you to Drury Lane and all staff members! look no further than Drury Lane when deciding on your wedding venue!

We saw«Hazel A Musical Maid in America» and it was fantastic! The entire cast was great and although Klea Blackhurst was fantastic as Hazel, Casey Lyons as Harold Baxter was terrific. That kid has a future ahead of him, as did the other children actors. I hope this is picked up and makes it in NYC as it was good fun, well written & well acted.

i havent been here in a few years so my bff & i decided to take another friend there since shes never been. the place still looks great & fancy but oh how the food has declined. they added crabcakes, raw oysters & raw mussels to the buffet but the crabcakes didnt seem to have a lot of crab in it nor did the oysters taste that fresh. the baked chicken looked like it was fried but didnt taste like anything, no flavor or spices to it. the salmon, bacon, veggies, cookies & make ur own omelettes were good! the different desserts were not that great either. i bit into a chocolate covered strawberry that was rotten! i was so disappointed! i was super excited about eating here & i was completely disappointed. i left full but not satisfied with the meal. for $ 30 a person they really need to step it up!

I’ve been coming to Drury Lane ever since I was a little girl and my Dad had seasons tickets. I remember waiting for for the actors to come out from backstage and I would have them sign their autographs on my playbill. Nothing but great memories here! However, let this review lie in the Sunday brunch buffet. Tables and tables of food stations! You name it, they have it! Dinning under the glistening chandeliers, it’s a meal that equivocates to an 1800’s French Royal’s meal! My single most favorite item being, the Rockefeller Oysters! Splurge on a Sunday of your choice, bring your mom or dad for a nice Mother’s Day/Father’s celebration, or simply give it a whirl from all the fantastic reviews you’ve read on Unilocal. Be sure to mark your territory and make reservations!

I’ve been here several times & both experiences were great. As for the theater, there’s plenty of seats & I’ve always had a good view. The seats are at least comfortable enough that I wasn’t hurting when I left! The second time around did dinner & a show. The dinner was great. They have a decent wine selection & the bar makes great drinks as well.

The quality of production is just shockingly good for a suburban venue. Everything else is a bit strange and outdated, but there is a cool vintage quality to it. It reminds me of going to shows when I was a kid or in old Vegas. I haven’t been to a banquet event, but we’ve wandered the spaces and they’ve really attempted to dress up the windowless halls. I was particularly impressed by a smallish space that was well put together to resemble an English pub. Could be cool for a certain type of event.

We love going there for our Easter brunch, no lines for the Easter bunny and the candies are unlimited until they are gone.

I’ve never seen a show here so this review is strictly for the buffet. Simply put it’s the best brunch buffet you can find. It’s a little expensive around $ 30 per person but so worth it. There’s the usual omelette station but there’s also a pasta station, a roast beef/turkey station, so much variety of already made foods from french toast to eggs benedict to pizza to quiche and pastas with shrimp cocktail. The desserts are very tasty with so much variety and they make these small donuts straight out of the frier that are so delicious. Add chocolate, syrup, or whatever you want or eat them straight with a little sugar… hmmm tasty. They serve fresh samosas with real orange juice and of course coffee. The banquet hall where you eat is very elegant and the servers are so attentive. It’s really the best brunch buffet you can get and you won’t be disappointed. As a side note my friends have seen a show at the theatre and mentioned a good experience but I have yet to make it to a show. Anyways Drury Lane deserves my stars

One of the BEST theaters by far! The shows are top notch and well-rehearsed by the wonderful creative team! New York and Chicago professional actors steal the show and perform beautifully. Seating is comfortable. Kids and adults will be entertained. Food is great and service is impeccable. Buffets are my favorite! Highly recommend this location for a wonderful experience.

**Note this is a review of the banquet hall** My company used to host their two formal luncheons(July and December, roughly 300 – 400 employees) at the Westin, but in the last several years, switched to Drury Lane. I can only imagine it’s a better deal, because I can’t understand why else we’d continually come here. I honestly have nothing good to say about this place, and the most recent visit had me angry enough that I finally sat down to review it. Parking stinks, and the entire place just feels drab. Every time I walk in, I have to enter through a crowd that appears to be on a field trip, wading through masses of people, after walking by the exhaust fumes of buses waiting outside. I’m all about symmetry, and was extremely distracted by the chandeliers in the room. The pattern had no rhyme or reason, and for those that appreciate the small details… well, there was nothing to appreciate here. The service is horrendous. Our server wasn’t friendly in the least, and she was clueless at best. Several weeks prior to the luncheon, we had to determine our meals(if we planned to eat gluten free or vegetarian). The food here is always horrible, so rather than dining on some disgusting mystery meat, I chose vegetarian. I was provided with a card, and told to tell my server. I did just that, but her reaction was just odd(«Are you okay eating the tomato bisque for soup?» Umm, that is already vegetarian…). Of course everyone with the«normal» order was served first. Then, the other vegetarian at the table was served a vegetable lasagna, which looked remotely tasty. I waited about five minutes(with no food) before asking the server the status. I’ll spare you the number of back and forth interactions before I got food(all four of them), but finally 15 minutes later, I was handed a plate of TWO twice baked potatoes and vegetables. Are you joking me?! Our server handed off the plate so quickly, I just about had to get out of my seat to run her down and refuse the food. She said, «This is what my manager came up with.» Um, no. Another ten minutes later, I finally was served what the other vegetarian received. The manager accompanied the server, stating that the vegetarians were«killing him». Funny. Don’t host your wedding here, don’t host anything here! Unless price is more important than your guests’ experience.

I would not recommend the thanksgiving buffet here I just returned from the thanksgiving buffet and am really embarrassed I took my family here. For 40 dollars a person I expected decent quality food. What a disappointment. The turkey was barely seasoned and not well roasted. The beef was terrible not sure what cut and quality it was. The deserts were just as bad. For five dollars more a person you could eat at one of the near buy posh restaurants. My whole family struggled to find something good to eat we basically had a lot of candied yams. Not recommended at all. Last year and the year before we had great experiences st Indian lakes and the Hilton in Schaumburg. 40 dollars a person cannot be justified with this low quality buffet

We had great seats and that the production we saw(White Christmas) was top notch. My wife and I like to go to plays and this was our first here. The parking was free, close and easy to find. The tickets were reasonable. There were chairs to sit in and wait. The coat check was handy. And we were able to preorder dessert and coffee and have it waiting for us at intermission. We even decided to subscribe after our visit.

Theater & Performance = 5 stars based on the theater size Quality of food = 3 stars Service in restaurant = 2 stars So we’ll settle on 4 stars as we would definitely come back for just the performance & skip the restaurant in the future. Just went here for the first time to catch the performance of White Christmas and it was wonderful. Excellent cast, great sets, comfortable seats and the theater itself is beautiful. Even the aisles between the rows was wider than usual and you didn’t necessarily have to stand up to let others pass. It’s not as large as I was expecting so other than if you had a seat way on one of the far sides I don’t think there is really many«bad» seats in the house. They recently remodeled their restaurant and having never been there before I have nothing to compare it to but it looks beautiful. Dining at the restaurant, however, was like eating at a large wedding reception where they rush you through all the courses. Since we were attending the last show of the evening & they certainly weren’t going to be needing our table for any other patrons it was a disappointment to be rushed through our meal. I understand they need to serve a large group of people all ordering in a relatively short amount of time but I still think if you show up 2 hours before the performance as recommended we should have our app, salad/soup & then main course all delivered in a 15 min time span. Oh well, at least it tasted good. After the performance we noticed people picking up their leftovers on a table set up outside of the theater as they exited so they must allow patrons to keep their leftovers in the restaurant(refrigerated I’m assuming) with their names on it to pick up after the show. Nice!

High Tea, and then we watched Beaches. The cast was so super talented, Shoshana Bean is just brilliant! The staff was very helpful and the tea and food offered had great flavour and was fresh. I like this venue very open and clean, the seats were roomy and it felt intimate, stage was close and sound was clear.

I was here on a field trip with my youngest. We went to see The Little Mermaid. The lobby and theater itself is breathtaking, but we all know by now that I’m a sucker for chandeliers. The seating was comfortable and my kid loved the novelty of the chair snapping closed when he got up or even sat down(he weighs like nothing). He thought he was a clam when the chair closed with him in it. So fitting. The troop was on point. They had a sing along and dance along at the beginning which really helped calm some of the kids nervousness. They also did a question answer part at the end. They were really just personable and put on a wonderful show. It seemed like they were having fun with it and had a great energy. My favorite character was the Sea Witch, I just feel like she really GETS me, you know?

This review is strictly for the Little Mermaid production that my almost 2.5 year old and I went to last weekend. That being said… She and I had a really great time! Let me break it down for you… 1) Location: Fairly easy access off the highway and plenty of parking(both in the private covered lot and adjacent to the nearby hotel). 2) Production: The Little Mermaid ran just about an hour and mostly kept my little one engaged. She was constantly asking where certain characters went(on and off stage) and really enjoyed the singing and dancing. For a kid-focused production, I found this show super cute but not over the top. The one odd thing I will say, however, is that bringing the just-died mermaid(Melody) back to life at the end by having the kids join in on «I give you life» felt a little weird to me. 3) Character interaction/engagement: I purchased show tickets with the included brunch after the show, so it was nice to «meet the characters» after the production, get their autographs, and then hit the buffet. The breakfast buffet was pretty basic, but certainly filled the void. 4) Theater facilities: Super clean bathrooms, pristine velvet seats in the theater and plenty of pretty chandeliers to ooooh and ahhh at. I’m definitely keeping an eye on the future productions to bring my kids back!

My company held a leadership symposium here and for the most part I think this place was great. The venue was a bit pricey however I can also say … You get what you pay for. The staff has been extremely attentive. It would have been 5 stars if we did not run out of some of the snack and beverage items and have to run to grab them to replenish, nevertheless we did get what we needed immediately after informing them of the need. We had a full spread of food options from chicken to fish to vegetarian and dessert and it was all amazing. I actually tasted 2 new dishes today which I have already checked pinterest for the recipes. I think I will come back again for Sunday Brunch. I love the atmosphere!

In the Y.B.Y.(years before Unilocal), Drury Lane was where my suburban theater geek friends would drag me out to watch B-team musicals when they didn’t want to drive to the city. Still, at least the acoustics are alright here and the theatre seats were comfy enough. Now for brunch. If you grew up in the area, somehow you knew about Drury Lane Sunday Brunch and its reputation of being THE Brunch. Like, of course we want to go, because, duh, Drury Lane Sunday Brunch. There’s chandeliers and people wearing fancy hats indoors, it has to be good. After making a reservation in advance(they can sell out), you’ll find 10 stations of food: yogurt, bread/apps, omelet, meat carving, a kid’s selection(for latchkey-kid-types that like chicken tenders and corn dogs), breakfast sweets(waffles, French toast, made to order donuts), ice cream, dessert, seafood, savory breakfast selections like bacon and quiche, and Italian-American-ish. There’s A LOT of food, and the American-style all you can eat gluttony and waste of food is theatre grotesque sans cheeseball music and astounding in the zoo animal observation sense. This food theatre fascinates me even despite my indifference to the food itself(I think the food overall is middling). But right when a 2 star review seems likely, a plot twist: All-you-can-drink mimosas, champagne and bellinis are included in the $ 30 adult brunch cost(Drury Lane also makes a mean Bloody for an upcharge). So, duh, you have to try it. A $ 30 rezzie is totally worth it to bust out a fancy hat and overindulge with absolutely zero judgment from likeminded audience members. Just do it, be tacky. It’s a thing.
