Wendy’s

Even though lunch just started we had trouble finding a clean table. The equipment in the bathroom was in disrepair which was surprising for a restaurant that seemed pretty new. There were no food issues but the ketchup dispensers were broken or empty and we had to ask for ketchup packets.

This Wendy’s is awesome. I go here all the time and always get friendly service. The one time I was here and I had to wait for parts of my meal, they gave me a complimentary frosty as apology for the wait. As far as food goes, it’s usually pretty average, but the employees usually make up for it in terms of dining experience.

Since Wendy’s is near my house, it’s a quick fix for dinner in a hurry when we’re not feeling McDonalds. I’ve been there a handful of times since I’ve moved to Oak Ridge and I’m not impressed. Every single time I have been, I have had to wait to place my order. And I’m not talking about 10 people in line in front of me. The last time we had a family of 3 ordering in front of us. They ordered, and we stood there for 5 – 6 minutes before they even took our order. The time before that we waited 5 minutes to place an order with no one in front of us, but then waited 15 minutes to get our food. At that rate, I might have well just sat down at a neighboring restaurant and at least had a waitress bring me my food and refill my drink.
The food is always subpar. I’m continually disappointed in the new foods and treats they advertise. Flaunting the new mozzarella chicken supreme as their regular chicken sandwich, but now with mozzarella. Oreo «milkshake» while you send a search party in to find the Oreos. And the caramel apple dessert, just terrible. I would never go back except that we get coupons every once in a while and one of the kids likes it.
