No! No, thank you. It’s been a while since I’ve been back and I can see the downward trend in the quality of food since then. Let’s start out by saying that our server, although very nice and sweet, was clueless about the menu. Our only assumption was that she had to be new but if that was the case then she should still be in training. She didn’t know the drink specials, if the ribs were made with sauce or rub, how many potato skins came with the appetizer, or what the pork chops were marinated in. The menu gave little to no detail about some of the dishes so we needed some clarification. Our server asked if we were ready to order 4 times in the 10 minutes it took for our friend to arrive. Each time we had to tell her that we were still waiting on our other guest. Literally, as soon as our guest sat down and before she had a chance to pick up the menu she asked if we were ready to order. The potato skins were flavorless. Honestly there had to be zero salt anywhere on the dish. The pickle chips were soggy and covered in grease. I ordered the pimento cheese burger. The cheese was good. The burger wasn’t. It had no flavor at all. It was overlooked and like most of the other dishes, lacked in salt. The make and cheese consisted of elbow noodles and shredded cheese on top. That’s it. I order sweet potato fries as did one of my guests. Her fires were orange and seemed to be cooked nicely. Mine were soggy and were and orangish brown. Putting the plates next to each other we had to laugh at how absurd it was. Won’t go back.

Tried this for the first time and all 4 of us were very happy. The atmosphere is casual but the food and service are upscale. For a nice dinner out with family and/or friends this place is excellent. Since I work not too far from here, going to try it for lunch soon.

StokeRidge has definitely stepped up their game! I go here almost weekly now and have wonderful service, and great food! I also had them cater my offices Thanksgiving lunch and Kevin, the owner, worked within our limited budget and DELIVERED a delicious hot meal, complete with chaffing dishes to keep it warm to the last bite. Everyone was thrilled with our lunch and we have already booked StokeRidge for a December luncheon. Excellent service, food, and communication. Thank you!!!

I’ve had the ribs, burger, and desserts. The sauces they use seem to be made in house and are unique. Everything had its own unique awesome flavor. I love eating at non-chain places because of the opportunity to find hidden gems like this place.

Not real crowded for a Saturday evening and we had our choice of seats. A number of people came in shortly after us. After we were seated the hostess went and told our server that we had been seated, a nice touch, and the server came right over to greet us and take our drink order. We ordered the potato skins as an appetizer and the were very good. Mary ordered the Reuben with hot chips. The chips were plentiful and very good. The Reuben was okay. From hete it goes down hill. At the last minute I changed my mind and tried the Chicken breast pieces tossed in their mildest sauce and French Fries. I forget to specify the breaded breast. When the meal came I couldn’t see the fries because they were under the chicken. that had been tossed in the sauce and poured on top. By the time I got to them they were soggy from the sauce and most were unedible. The server came by several times but failed to notice that my drink needed refilled until I held it up in the air and shook it. And then she adked, «Oh do you want a refill?». Da! Fortunately Mary shared her chips with me. I struggled between 2 and 3 and finally decided on 3 because while both the service and the kitchen messed up Mary’s meal was good and the initial service was good. But this place is going on the drive-by list. There are too many more deserving restaurants in the area.

The wife and I both ordered the triple threat appetizer for our first time visit, giving us a taste of six items. Our friend had grilled salmon. The food here was impressive for bar & grille food. Compared to JP Looneys(the only similar genre of restaurant in the area) this is hands down better… So much better. The one critique I would strongly suggest is that when there are four waitresses/hostess congregated by the front door that if you don’t open the door for me carrying diaper bag, drink and to go food, that you at least help with the two ladies coming out carrying kids and more kid stuff, especially after a 20% tip and cleaning off our own table. Most restaurants trying to impress open the door for everyone coming and going. Aside from that, food was great and wait staff timing was good.

As you can see my initial review of this place was that they were stellar. However, I have been out here a handful of times since and they have been terrible experiences. High turnover with staff, always someone new and does not know the beers. Last time a girl had too much to drink next to me and she and her friends sat down talking rudely about the other patrons, myself included. I was so annoyed I asked for my bill and got up and left. I will not be going back. I want to note in my initial review I praised an employee named Drew. I know he has since left and that has no reflection on my update. In fact, I have seen him out at other placed and was surprised at how he conducted himself. I will leave it at that.

Very nice with plenty of space. Service was very good and food was well prepared. I had the Chicken Fried Steak which is real cube steak, not mystery meat like you often find. Tender enough to cut with my fork which was a good thing since you would have trouble cutting butter with the knife. Mash potatoes were scratch made. Overall excellent. We will go back.

Big, nice Bar; mostly delicious southern dishes, huge portions and nice outside seating place. Their bar is open late, and they got many tvs there. Prices were hight a bit, but service was worth my expectations.

We stopped in for lunch today, our first visit here. This is a nice layout inside, rustic, comfortable feeling in the dining area, the bar is large & attractive, there are plenty of large screen TVs, and a nice amount of outside seating. We were seated quickly, drink orders quickly filled as we looked over the menu. They offer some«quick lunch» choices, but we wanted to try some their barbecue items and a burger off the full menu. We settled on the Brisket Sandwich($ 9.95 with a side & drink), the Jalapeño Burger($ 9.25 with a side & drink), and the Outlaw($ 8.25 with a side) which is their pork barbecue sandwich. Unfortunately, the food was just OK, with something a little off center with each item we tried. The Jalapeño Burger has some real potential, especially if you like some heat, but the burger was well over cooked beyond the medium we ask for. The accompanying Hot Chips went the other direction, with at least half of them significantly under-cooked and very limp. The burger is well sized, but is under-seasoned when tasted without the bread or toppings — a little salt helped this somewhat. The Brisket Sandwich was filled with thin slices of beef, but the meat was considerably over-cooked, with no tenderness, almost a crunch though out the meat, not just the char on the outside portion — this meat did not seem freshly cooked, at all, but rather warmed over. The BBQ sauce is a thick, rich sauce dominated by sweetness, a bit too sweet for my tastes, and the Swiss Cheese didn’t add anything to this sandwich considering the amount of sauce. The pork barbecue is minced rather than chopped or pulled, not a texture I care for, and the meat comes out of the kitchen more than well sauced, and the sauce here is sweet, as well. There is not a huge portion of meat on this sandwich, which also has a little cole slaw on Texas Toast, a platform that doesn’t stand up well to a rather wet filling. The French Fries had some flavor, but were not the least bit crispy, in fact, mostly limp. The service was excellent, the ambiance pleasant, other than the piped in music being too loud, and the pricing was reasonable in most respects. But the food was just not something that made you say«wow», and the items that were either over or under cooked points to a lack of attention in the kitchen — those chips and that brisket, in particular, should never have been made it out of the kitchen, period. Might drop in and try again, maybe try something different, if in the area, but this would not be a destination spot based on our experience today.

I have tried Stokeridge Tavern a few times and it is OK. I didn’t have the best of luck the last time I visited but that may have just been an off day for them. There is not much more in the area so I would gauge it as somewhere local rather than running into Greensboro.

I like this place. Always clean, good service, food is always to our liking, very casual. Great spot to hang out, especially on the patio(you can play corn hole, too).

Heard about this place from a coworker, and took the family out to give it a try. Glad I did! The menu is great, with a balanced blend of classic«pub grub» like burgers and wings to more local southern dishes, like housemate hush puppies and southern chicken and biscuits. The portion sizes were larger than normal, and most everything was cooked perfectly with plenty of flavor and quality ingredients. The only downside? The chips we got with the buffalo chicken did(which was excellent) were stale. The prices are a bit higher than you might expect, but given the portions they weren’t unfair… just be aware of them. Definitely worth a try, and I and my family will certainly be going back.

Food was freshly made and delicious. Kids chicken fingers were hand breaded with fresh cut fries. Service was outstanding. Kids had a blast.

My family and I have been driving past STG for a while now and decided to try it. The wings are good, they make a hotter one called«220» if your a heat fan. They are hot but not like some of the wing places where you can’t feel your lips afterwards. Their BBQ is very good, Reuben was excellent from NC. The burgers one time were great and the other time were over cooked but I am sure if we mentioned it they would have made new ones. My 14 year old son did not seem to mind because it was gone quick! They have a «locals» menu which is very cool but they took our favorite thing off this last time. It is a Corn Bread pancake with BBQ and Coleslaw on top. It looks like an ice cream sunday and is awesome! The lunch staff is nice and good but when we went for dinner my biggest regret was not getting the waitresses name. She was friendly, kind, polite and just a great person to have around. The manager the night we went was also the bar tender and was also very nice. The owner a man by the name of Kevin Champion(they call him Champ) and is extremely nice and friendly. We will keep going back to STG!

We had a work gathering at Stokeridge Tavern last night and it was great! They have half-priced apps before 7:00 so we ordered the spinach dip, the bang bang shrimp and some wings. The shrimp was awesome and as close to Bonefish as I’ve had anywhere else.(I’m kind of addicted to their Bang Bang.)The spinach dip was a bit bland but a bit of salt made it perfect. Portion size is large and the other menu items seemed to be flying out of the kitchen. The wait staff and bartenders were friendly and efficient. I will definitely be going back!

After eating here the first time, I was unsure of how I felt about the place. The food was decent, the prices were decent, the service was decent, but it wasn’t giving me that«wow» factor to drive a little farther than usual to go out to eat(since I live in Northern Greensboro. I figured a second trip was in order. Our waitress was perky, friendly, prompt, and most importantly, knowledgeable about the menu. She was able to make recommendations on good items to try or answer questions about potential trade-outs/alternatives when ordering. The environment isn’t some regal five-star restaurant, but it’s well laid out, really clean, and kinda homey/local favorite feeling. The food was really good. We tried a triple appetizer to get a little of everything and the buffalo chicken dip. Both were VERY good. The Bang Bang shrimp we tried were so good, that I changed from the alfredo I was gonna order to the Shrimp PoBoy sandwich(had it as a wrap) and had the shrimp cooked up Bang Bang style. Overall, the experience was much better than the first time. The first time wasn’t bad, but this time definitely proved that StokeRidge is all in, and I hope they’ll be in the game for the long haul. Give it a shot. Between good food, good service, and fair prices, you won’t be disappointed.

Boneless wings were tasty– they were more like chicken strips than traditional boneless wings. More meat than breading for sure. I had the«very hot» sauce which to me wasn’t at all that hot. Still– they were good and a nice portion for $ 5.
