This is a surprisingly good find in the Oak Ridge area. Seafood pasta was delicious and plentiful enough for leftovers. The staff was very friendly and gracious, a rare thing nowadays. We will definitely be back to try more of their menu.

Food is delicious, I had Chicken francese and my gf had Chicken Caruso. both were great! Unfortunately the chairs are cheap and uncomfortable, really took away from the experience. The chair I was sitting on was metal and had a diagonal pole I could feel stabbing into me the whole time. Would of been 5 but really was uncomfortable

Favorite restaurant for over 20 years. We Try to get there once a week. Can’t think of a better Italian restaurant. Service, food and of course, Mendy. The ultimate host. They are all the best. Had my husband’s 50th birthday party there, had his 60th there and hopefully in a few years will have his 70th.

On a recent saturday evening my wife and I along with another couple were asked by the owner to leave as we were finishing up our wine. I need the table were his words, but yet he had two 6 tops open for at least 25 minutes and at least 20 people waiting to be seated. Why rush us out and be rude when he didn’t want to seat 4 at a 6 top!

Favorite restaurant. Been going here for ten years. Always excellent. Good service friendly staff. Had large groups for parties everything was up to snuff. The owner does come around to see if you are satisfied. Only once did we have spotty service during a holiday. It gets mobbed for Valentine’s. Tortellini all a panna, veal saltimbacca, and sea food dishes are favs. Byob makes it a deal. Desserts are good tiramisu, and espresso if you are not too full to get it.

Been going to Portofinos for years. Love this place. My «last supper» meal will always be the Rigatoni Vodka. My favorite hands-down. Never had vodka sauce this delicious in my life. Love the service we receive whenever we go out to dinner. Also a very warm and cozy place. Love it! Hope to be back soon!

Without a doubt, our favorite restaurant in NJ(or anywhere else, for that matter)!! The food is always delicious. From the bruschetta and bread, to the awesome salad, to the fantastic dinner, everything is top notch! My wife usually goes for the veal gardenia entrée, and I try everything. The regular menu is excellent, but the specials are usually too good to pass up. Chicken rollatini, veal saltimbocca, and clams in red sauce, are just a few of my favorites! The entire staff from the owner to the busboys, make you feel like part of the family. We love the place so much, we got married there!

This is the best Italian food I’ve had short of being in Italy. Minus one star Bc they don’t have a liquor license and being out of towners we didn’t know it was BYOB. The hot antipasto was to die for. The calamari was good but not the best I’ve ever had. Dinner however: I had chicken Caruso with eggplant, tomato and mozzarella on top. AH-MA-ZING. There was also enough to feed a small army. My fiancé got veal parm which was equally as delicious. I wish I would’ve had room for dessert but there was no way. The icing on the cake was the owner walking around making sure everything was up to par!

Beautiful building, check! Nice interior, check! Coat check in, intimate dining tables, staff with Italian and New Jersey accents? Check. Wow the simple salad that comes prior to the entrée was spectacular even though it looked like a simple plate of greens! You can bring your own bottles of wine, I seriously thought that was great. So plus 10 pts! My bf got the penne with vodka sauce, I got penne arrabbiata which is the spicy version. And his parents got chicken dishes. Everything was amazing! I have had bruschetta in the past but the ones preserved in jars but the fresh one here was yummy. It was a perfect appetizer for us! I had a delicious pink lemonade :)) Anyway I really enjoyed this dinner with my bf and his parents it was really good. Great atmosphere and staff too. I would definitely return, something tells me I will be craving their food from California

Haven’t been here for dinner in quite a few years. The service left much to be desired. Had to ask numerous times for bread and water. We had two of the specials which were a bit pricey but mediocre at best. Certainly not classy atmosphere and very noisy! Won’t be going back in the near future.

This is truly a hidden gem! My grandmother recommended it a few weeks ago and I finally got there today for lunch. The menu is brief but the waitress listed about 10 specials. We both got the chicken Parmesan… for $ 8.95…which was cheap! Then, although the menu didn’t state it… they brought us the most amazing bruschetta and Italian bread… then an awesome, huge bowl of mushroom soup… then a delicious mesclun salad!!! When we got our entrees, it was served with a decent side of rigatoni with sauce! Seriously so much great food and for the price you can’t beat it. I strongly recommend this BYOB! I can’t wait to go back!

Surprisingly good, nicely balanced Southern Italian cooking. The only restaurant in Morris that I would consider better, Navona, is at least $ 8/plate higher priced. Service was knowledgeable, prompt, and efficient without disturbing the conversation. I’ll be back again soon.

I’m Italian, and quite picky when it comes to food. We’ve been to several restaurants in the area, and they all pale to Portofino. The food was quite delicious, and not overly salty. I liked how attentive the service was when we were there, and I could tell others in the restaurant were just as happy. The bread was hot and fresh, and the salad fresh and crispy. The best part for me is how tender the chicken cutlet was in my meal. My daughters and husband like eating here as well. My husband and I don’t eat seafood, and have never been offended by the strong smell of «fish» when we are there. Actually, we have never been blasted in the face by that smell at Portofino’s at all. A very pleasant dining experience.
