Thom’s Turkey & Bar-B-Cue

Very sad this place has closed. Was really the best barbecue turkey I’ve had. They definitely didn’t close due to lack of business from me!

I believe this location may be closed.
I ordered the most delicious beef brisket sandwich from here and had it delivered to my work.
I tried to use grubhub to order another time and they were closed.
Theyve been closed ever since.
I believe my delivery may have been their last!
I called the other location to figure out whether they were closed briefly or indefinitely and the worker there said their owner had been unable to get a hold of the manager for that location.

Thom’s…what can I say, It was delicious.
All beef ribs (hard to find) I thought of Fred Flinstone when I got my full slab!
It must of weighed about 10 pounds. if you know beef ribs they are huge with ample amounts of meat and a nice sweet BBQ sauce…(my only ’ beef ’ was that there was a little to much sauce on the ribs. easily rectified.).
Sides…Green beans, Mac & Cheese and the fries were quite good. excellent is going to far.
Staff…it was a take out order and it was done with courtesy and timeliness.
All in all for the first time ordering. great job. can’t wait to try the rest.

So, um. I think I love this place.
First, I love that there is a wide variety of menu items. Like, more than just turkey stuff (but it IS mostly turkey stuff).
Second, I love that the food is really delicious. I’ve tried turkey tips, turkey links, turkey brisket sandwich, fries, dirty rice, baked beans, mac and cheese, and peach cobbler. I LOVE the baked beans. They have ground turkey in them and have a little heat to them. I am also a big fan of the turkey brisket sandwich.
Third, I love that the owner is there a lot. He’s been there to take my order, give me samples, and even deliver lunch to my work. That’s service!!! Oh — and he’s friendly.
Fourth, I love that there is a nice place to sit and eat in the restaurant. I also like that there is delivery.

When restaurant food is this good, there is no reason to cook. I order from this place once a week. My call in order is ready for me to pick up in 15 minutes. I order the turkey tips, turkey burger-​jerk (add turkey bacon). The side dishes is unbelievable baked beans, dirty rice, mixed greens and mashed potatoes is my favorite. I like everything on the menu that I have tasted. The customer service is top of the chart.

Thom’s has great customer service AND and very tasty selections. My family happened to be in the area, and decided to give this place a try recently. I think it used to be another ribs and bbq place before, with different owners/​management.
From the time we arrived, until we left, we were treated with the best service. They gave us a sample of their homemade Turkey chili which was pretty good. The other food we ordered was to go, but once we arrived home, everyone loved the food, from the chicken and turkeys with sauce to the fries.
Thom’s also has a loyalty card, so every purchase over $ 5.00 get you 10% off and after a certain number of orders, you get FREE food! I’m a sucker for discount and loyalty programs so I’ll definitely be back. If you’re in the area, try this place out. I think you’ll like it too, because there a quite a few selections and the staff is very friendly and patient. I welcome Thom’s to Oak Park!

What a wonderful find for BBQ! The BBQ Ribs and Turkey leg are absolutely delicious… falling off the bone, moist and tasty! Will definitely make this my favorite place for take out BBQ… check it out!
